Location is gorgeous.
Room was Absolutely freezing. Only one heater and couldn’t keep room on second floor warm. Problem is one door to outside on main floor. No door to bedroom on second floor. Sadly no care taker on property. No sense of security.

Amazing view of ocean through large windows and we could hear the waves just below. So quiet. Lots of wildlife including 7 river otters. Fun to watch!
Loved the beach and the Fall foliage along the drive. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. We didn’t use the kitchen but there were options for heating up food.
The towels could do with an upgrade and I like to find soap at the sink and in the shower.

Due to previous bad reviews, I was expecting a dump. I was pleasantly surprised- it was delightful! Exceptional views, quiet.

Scenic, splendid location, breathtaking house and accommodating, friendly, competent people to deal easily with for any little thing. I could have hung around the property all day.

Very friendly staff - great communication prior to check-in (directions, instructions etc.). The room was exactly as advertised. Great view, big spa bath and fast wifi.
No complaints

Ocean front and we saw the sunrise and sunset! King size bed was comfortable.
Old uncomfortable couch, small and older kitchen, not very functional.

very beautiful view
expensive

The view is amazing!
The lack of secure handrails. Especially on the first set of stairs down to the Wine Cellar Room.

The cleaning charge should be part of the advertised price.

we did not have a meal plan, however, when we were sitting on the deck the owner brought a bowl of very nice grapes as a welcome
nothing

Location on the water with excellent views. The room and bed were comfortable. If the weather had been better there we multiple places on the site to sit outside and enjoy being right next to the beach.
There was no one on site. We had no towels in the bathroom when we arrived and it was difficult to find someone to contact about getting us towels.

exceptional location in front of the water! you can not be closer to the sea. you can see seals very close, directly from the room. also a balcony available outside to see the sea. great bed for 2. Small kitchen very convenient.
the sofa is not so comfortable if you are more than 2. Watch out: Rainbow land inn is not the name written on signs (follow the street number on your GPS)

The location was great, and the views of the water was beautiful. The property was big and rambling, and in the summer it would offer lots of nice places to sit and enjoy the view.
Wow. When we arrived we didn’t know if we were in the right place, because it is poorly marked and the name on the sign doesn’t match the title of the property. Anyway, I recognized that we were in the right place by the pictures, so we parked and looked for an office to check in. The place was deserted, no sign of what to do or where to go. I peeked through some windows and what I saw looked pretty ramshackle. Finally I called the number and made contact with someone who said she would send me a code for the door, then she hung up. After waiting for a while, I called again. Then a flurry of information arrived, a code, some information about how to control the heater, etc. We had some concerns, the battery on the door lock was low (we didn’t want to get locked out!), we needed the wifi password, and the heater didn’t seem to be working, although it did eventually kick in and then worked fine. The place was just weird, when we went into our unit there were a couple of doors on the main level, but our place was upstairs and there was no door. The carpet was FILTHY and when we tried to use the jacuzzi tub all kinds of dirt came out of the jets. Everything just looked sad, no pride of ownership or effort to keep things nice. It could be a great place if it was renovated and maintained, but it was so run down that we really didn’t enjoy our stay.

beautiful property perfect location
we arrived and the whole driveway was still covered in snow from the snowfall the day before and our car got bogged. we had to remove snow from the whole driveway before we could park.
we also had no hot water. we booked the room because it had a bath and we couldn’t even use it. couldn’t even have a nice warm shower after a big day of travelling

The setting is incredible.
Furniture not comfortable.

Location was good for what I needed
No free wifi as ad says, and garbage an recycling was still there from past customers

I did not have breakfast As none was offered, the two things that could've been a bit better is I was hoping there was a bath up, or the hot tub as I'd stayed there before and use the hot tub in the past. The view is incredible. The blinds need to be replaced on the main windows as someone did walk by my room and look in.
This fellow I met at this place was very very nice, the only difficulty I had was during the day I had someone walk by the window which I couldn't adjust the blinds to and because its ground level was able to look into the room. So that was a bit uncomfortable, but I meant I know they meant no harm but it still was a bit awkward. Otherwise the stay was very very nice and the host was very nice I met him, and the room was exceptional.

Not too far of drive to downtown Chemainus.
There is no way this hotel should ever be allowed to say it can sleep four adults in a room. The extra bed is abysmal. There is only one room, which is the main room, not even a single bedroom. At one point this was clearly in entertainment area was converted into an extra room. it was freezing cold. Electric fireplace sits on the floor. Walls are spackled like an old Italian villa. Decor and appliances are from some old decade. Electrical looks scary. The second bed mattress had a hole all the way through to the wiring of the frame making it impossible to sleep. Had to bring extra pillows, blankets, and towels to make something to sleep on. Could not figure out how to lock the room. Tried calling the manager at the hotel number and it hangs up on you with no message. Tried to find someone at the inn - no answer. I would not be able to stay here again, nor would I recommend to anyone else.

Very clean! No one else around so very peaceful. Literally feet from the ocean. Surrounded by large trees behind. From our bed we saw a panoramic view of the ocean, beautiful spot to wake up. Lots of chairs to sit on to watch outside from different decks. Small area, but very well equipped with microwave - mini fridge - all you need to warm food from a restaurant
The home is old - but part of the charm. Sits literally at the ocean.

We booked a room Aug 29/22 for Sept 17/22. Payment was taken on Sept 14/22 but when we arrived at approx 7pm on the 17th of Sept there was no one there and no one answered my multiple phone messages. We waited around outside knocking on doors, calling out and phoning to no avail. We left after approx 20 mins and went down the road for dinner. We expected to hear from someone as I left my information on each call, yet no one ever, even now 6 days later, contacted us. I called 4 separate times and left all my information. I have a claim into my credit card company and expect to get my money back. We had to scramble to get alternative accommodation at such a late date also. Do NOT book this place . Very disappointed ☹️
