Loved the building and room we had was lovely. Fabulous situation.
Thought price was to high for room and breakfast . Extremely disappointed with Sunday lunch , no vegan gravy. Display of breakfast most uninviting. Cooked breakfast good . I just personally felt the place should be called Angel Restaurant. One room downstairs near bar would be fabulous if you made it a lounge area . It's just tables chairs everywhere. You can't even sit at the bar . Definitely a Restaurant. Such a shame . Needs more though and love for the building.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable room, though not “luxurious” as implied by some of the blurb. We didn’t have to pay extra for our dog which was good as many places charge quite a bit for no real reason.
We paid for a larger room as we had our dog with us but both the room and bathroom were still a bit cramped, though acceptable for a short stay.

Beautiful character property, comfortable, clean and tidy rooms and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful bedroom. Roomy with superb facilities. Lovely outside eating/bar area. Staff were absolutely superb. Food was generally good.
Ambience in the inside bar/restaurant area could be improved. No area for sitting and relaxing all taken by meal tables. Too brightly lit. These, though, are very minor issues.

The room was lovely....a delightful Inn. High standard of cleanliness and staff all efficient and friendly.
The shower floor in room one needs some attention.....the whole bathroom floor flooded after each shower. it would have been helpful to have been told about this problem and fora mop to have been provided.
The continual breakfast had a very limited choice of fruit.
the presentation of the dinners would have benefitted from the use of garnishes.
We would have liked there to have been some comfortable arm chairs to relax in near the fires.

location was beautiful & the style / decor of the property was very fitting & homely.
rooms were very warm, even though it was -2 degrees when we visited!
the bar / dining area was quite cold, even though they had a fire lit by the entrance. again, it was -2 so was a very cold night which didn’t help.

Although the breakfast was good quality and well prepared I felt it did not match the price with no ,cereals,fruit,yougurt ,pastries,or even offered a second hot drink, toast with conserves.Just offered one hot choice from the menu.

Staff not very attentive / didn’t seem to care too much about guests. Forgot one item from 3 ordered at evening meal. Didn’t bring milk to room in morning for tea/coffee despite offering to upon check in and checking they would do so in evening.

We were arranging a holiday for ourselves on the Isle of Wight, and we needed to find a hotel in which we could stay en route to the coast. When talking to friends who lived in Arundel, they recommended the hotel and particularly made us want to visit Petworth after finding out about Petworth House and the other galleries.
They also told us that, considering the lovely weather and the good food at the hotel, the four of us would very much enjoy an open air dinner together - and we did.
Everything was good. The hotel and the car park on the opposite side of the road.

Very easy to have our dog with us - all areas available to dogs. Very good walking accessible from the hotel. Room exceptionally comfortable, with air con which was very welcome in the current hot weather. Enormous bathroom with large bath, separate shower, and twin basins. Nice view over courtyard garden. Great breakfast. Free hotel parking immediately opposite.
