A unique stay experience at the foot of Mount Kinabalu

The location, friendly staff, small crowd size of the lodging.

The route leading to the property is challenging, luckily the staff offered chauffeur service. Due to its location, the water pressure was low and water temperature was unstable as well, there’s a common bathroom that’s better. Waiting time for food is long, room for improvement.

I was informed that there are constructions going on after booking. I was still willing to understand and be accommodating, however upon arrival I noticed the constructions were in fact major and rather dangerous, right below the lodge. Even the roads leading up to the lodge was horrible with no accurate signboard. I strongly refused to stay there in fear of my safety. I would hope they don’t allow customers to make bookings if there is construction work going on mainly because it is not safe! I rather lose my booking fee over my life.

Need to a 4wd car to get there but location is nice and secluded.

Breakfast is simple with limited choices but that's ok. Nice secluded location.

We were told that breakfast would be served from 7am but only started 8ish. Breakfast should have been served on time whereas coffee and tea should be served earlier if the delayed serving of hot food is expected. The road condition is quite terrifying and steep. Just enough for a single car driving one way. We're grateful for less traffic at such secluded location or else we or incoming car would have to reverse at times...

My humble opinion

The view is spectacular. The staffs are very helpful and courteous, a true Sabahan hospitality. The bed is comfortable. Keep up the Sabahan spirit.

A little unfortunate cos the resort is still under renovation, so working and repair is still in progress. It is said the renovation may take them till end of the year. Sound proofing of the rooms are much needed. 'Nite activities' sounds travel right thru the wall😲. Ha..ha.. can cause a lot of discomfort to the neighbor😉 The bathroom door, even though translucent plastic, outsiders can still see all the 'drama' inside. Not good if your children are together in the room. The menu at the restaurant are limited. Having all said, hopefully this resort will be better after renovation is complete.

My main purpose there was to see wildlife especially bird watching. I enjoyed the stay.

Very supportive and pleasant staff two girls, boy Alloycius and the chef. Clean room.

It’s under construction and it was noisy and tidy outside. Garbage disposal was inappropriate and it spoils the rainforest environment. It would have been nice if few trails are created to creep into the nearby forest area to see some birds.
