Size, layout
Lack of toilet roll and dishwasher was confusing to work but we got there in the end

We stayed with family to celebrate my wife's birthday and the accommodation was perfect. It was good to have a large secluded garden and we felt we had privacy when using the hot tub. The staff were very helpful and were quick to respond to any queries we had.
We were somewhat disappointed to find there were no freezer facilities as this meant we had to buy fresh food daily which was something we had not planned for as we were only away for the weekend.

The lodge was amazing, exactly as it looks in the photos, but much larger, there was so much space. Everything was exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable as were the sofas and the hot tub was bliss. We had a really wonderful stay, thank you chestnut meadows
There was a strange smell when we arrived inside the lodge, we flushed the toilets & ran the shower & the smell went away, no further problems. Everything was perfect, but could do with maybe a handrail coming in & out of the lodge at the front entrance & at the rear going to the hot tub. Also the lovely deep tub bath was amazing but very slippery to get out of so again maybe a handrail. No complaints though, just our thoughts

We were upgraded and given a modern contemporary lodge. It was exceptional.
Normally we go for properties that are a little more spread out or part of a remote estate. The lodges were quite close. But great for a short break catching up with friends.

Great cabin. Clean & spacious. Nice having a private garden with cabin.
It was dog friendly however no gate on garden so dog could escape so was unable to let her out unattended.

location and clean
pricey for what’s included, linen an extra £15 nothing about pillows not being on the bed , would benefit from a couple of more furnishings (chair, coat hooks)

So we were upgraded to a luxury lodge...and it was STUNNING. We just remodeled our house and this still impressed us! We walked in to a very spacious living area, beautifully appointed, with amazing fittings throughout like modern wall fire, wine fridge, claw footed bathtub...and even a tasteful Christmas tree! Even the little touches like slate coasters made the place feel luxurious. And the hot tub was divine, and properly set behind the lodge with wooden fencing to keep it truly private. Although possibly should mention on the listing that there is a curfew time (11pm) for use, though they kindly extended this for NYE. At all times dealing with the staff was pleasant and easy. I nearly knocked a star off for the fact one has to leave lodges as they find them - we did get a little nervous at leaving it immaculate to preserve our security deposit but probably we worried too much so that's hardly their fault. Also the top shelf of the dishwasher didn't pull out all the way, but honestly the kitchen was so well equipped (pans, trays, baking dishes, colander, sieve, peeler, can opener) that we cooked a full Christmas dinner and full English breakfast without hassle. The four of us (4 adults) had a truly luxurious, relaxing new year. Highly recommended.
There were some bits in the manual about that they would charge a £50 fee if the hot tub needed topping up in various ways, which made us a little nervous about using it too much, but again that was probably us over worrying. Possibly could do with clarification on this and the leaving the lodges as you find them (we were too nervous to leave the dishwasher running for example - it would have to be unstacked after, which we didn't know if it would count as leaving as we found it, so we hand washed everything on our check out morning so it could all be put away).

Good value for money. The pods were warm and the surroundings were lovely and peaceful.
The mattress on the bed was lumpy and uneven. It would be nice if the cafe /restaurant could stay open a bit longer than 4pm in winter to be able to get an evening meal . The lock in the disabled bathroom doesn't lock.

Lovely clean apartment, plenty of room for me and my son, great shower, peaceful location.
unfortunately wifi was problematic. Sorted on day 3 and they said the info would be updated. Not a big issue for me but my 11yo son was rather put out! Staff were lovely though and did their best...I think communication with the owner over the weekend slowed things down.

clean, secluded, cosy just exactly as we imagined.
only little bit of feedback would have been great if there were some better kitchen staples available. salt/pepper, maybe some tin foil. just very small things you don’t want to have to buy for a couple of nights as we cooked.

The staff came back to open the reception even though I was 20 minutes late. The bed was comfortable and the toilets were well lit and easy to find.
The people next to me in a tent who chose to ignore the no fires or barbecues rule and played loud EDM music til 12am.

The told us while we were travelling down that they wouldn’t be there at 18.00 our selected arrival time . It was stressful as we had a booked visit on our way down . In the end they said they would be there until 17.00 originally they said it was closing at 16.00. We got there for 17.10 but being contacted on the way down abou5 changing an agreed time wasn’t good

I absolutely love this park and the lodges we stay in. My children love it too. The best part is driving in to park and being surrounded by rabbits. Highly recommended ❤️
