We enjoyed the serenity of the mountain views and the proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock. We’ll definitely return.

We saw that snow was in the forecast so we booked this last-minute trip. The host, not knowing that we were looking for snow, called us immediately after we booked it, and asked us if we knew there was a storm coming. When we told him that we did, he helped us get all of the preparations in order to have an awesome and safe weekend and was very attentive throughout the weekend!
The cabin was plenty big enough for our large group and the teenagers and kids loved the extra lounging and game space.
The hot tub is large and very clean and nice, we enjoyed sitting in it while it snowed.
We had everything we needed in the kitchen.
The cabin is clean and comfortable.
The porch and view was so pleasant- we sat on it and watched the snow fall while we drank hot chocolate.
We enjoyed family games in the living room while we sat around the fireplace.
Awesome weekend!
Two bits to know before you go- the driveway is steep, and pack extra beach towels for the hot tub if you have a large group like us!

The house was very spacious and nice. The kids had plenty of things to do to stay entertained. The driveway is steep so keep that in mind. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware. The owner was responsive and helpful. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Omg y’all, this property is breath taking! The rooms are spacious, the game room is amazing!! The owner was so helpful and quick to respond with any questions or issues! The only thing I think I wish I knew was just how STEEP the drive up and driveway was, there are a lot of sharp turns so be careful driving. BUT that is literally the only issue my guests and I had, which is literally just mountain life! 10/10 would def stay again!

Can I just say that this was the best and smoothest vacation rental I have ever had....and my family loves to travel! It started off with a text message that was helpful and informative. They kept contact along the way and were very helpful and accommodating!! The customer service was OVER THE TOP and I cannot say enough good things about them! The trip itself was wonderful and beautiful! The house was perfect and cozy and we could have picked better views if we tried. We will definitely be back and will be telling everyone we know about this place!

The cabin was great. It was close to everything that we wanted to do. We enjoyed the game room and the open feel on the main floor. The managers checked in and always available.

The open kitchen, family room and porch were where we spent the most time celebrating our newest family adult. We are a family that loves to cook together so the gas stove top and large counter space was perfect for all the home made pasta, cakes, and other dishes we enjoyed as part of our celebration.

14 of us ranging in age from 2-44 enjoyed this beautiful house. The kids played downstairs with all the games while the adults relaxed upstairs and out on the porch. There's a trail behind the house that you can hike up. The house isn't far (about 10 minutes) from fun things to do such as Tweetsie. I will be honest, the driveway did freak me out when I first saw it (we live at the coast, so not use to it) but made it up without a problem. The homeowner was also super nice and provided us with all the info we needed. We all would definitely stay at this place again.

Great host, Great house, Great views.
7 of us stayed at this house for a week and we loved it. The house was very clean and the hot tub was awesome. There are several games like, pool, air hockey, etc. The view is amazing!! The host was wonderful and answered our question and recommended trails to hike. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing
The property was absolutely amazing. The kids stayed in the gaming areas pretty much the whole time and had so much fun. The location was really convenient and fairly close to restaurants and stores. The pictures on the listing were great but they really don’t do justice to how great the place really is. My daughters birthday trip turned out great and I’m so grateful to have found this place!

Amazing Cabin with gorgeous views!!
This cabin has it all! The cabin was not only beautiful, clean and spacious but has gorgeous views! The cabin has all the amenities for all ages to enjoy, from the game room with a ping pong table, air hockey, basketball net, pool table, hot tub, board games books etc. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, blender, slow cooker, etc. Bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable mattresses.
We did have a little trouble getting up the driveway with my 2wheel Drive Honda Pilot, however as instructed by the owner used the turnaround and came up the back driveway which we were able to get up. If you have AWD would probably be fine.
Communication with the owner was top notch! This cabin has it all!! My family will definitely be back for another visit!

Amazing views
This beautiful home was perfectly sized for my large family and made for a perfect birthday celebration spot just outside of downtown Boone. My grandchildren especially loved the game room! The home was large enough for each of my adult children’s families to escape to their own private space, but cozy enough for the adults to stay up late and have game nights. The house is very clean and the beds were super comfy.

Birthday Fun
My son is a student at App State. We celebrated his 21st bday with a trip to Boone. The house was perfectly located just a few miles from town while still feeling remote. It’s perched on a ridge with incredible views. The house is very comfortable, and clean with tons space for the whole family. The game room alone is worth the stay.

Amazing! Will be back!
Extremely clean! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great communication with owner! It snowed while we were there and he made sure we had everything we needed (salt, shovels, etc). We loved the game room and hot tub! Beautiful views without the 20 minute trip up the mountain. Can’t say enough good things! Best cabin we have ever stayed in! We will be back next winter!!

Wonderful
Mulberry Mountain Cabin is absolutely wonderful. It was clean, inviting, and the game room is awesome! Stunning views from porch and hot tub, and we even found and hiked a few trails that were behind the cabin. Kitchen was fully stocked with pretty much everything you need. All you need to do is bring your food and beverages. The drive way is pretty steep, but the owners were great with communicating an alternate way up if we were unable to access. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back. This was one of the best family vacations we have had.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway
The property was fantastic! The views are amazing from the panoramic deck and super private. Definitely need an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the steep gravel driveway, but it was easily done with our two small AWD SUVs.
Inside you are greeted with an open floor plan with plenty of seating, a giant table with bench seats, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need!
All the bedrooms are a decent size with the master being well oversized - plenty of room to add a blow-up mattress on the floor with walking room to spare. The kids loved the bunk room.
Downstairs is where the fun is at -- the well equipped game room with a pool table, air hockey table, foosball, a basket arcade shooter, and more. Then just outside is the hottub with a great panoramic view of the area. We even saw multiple deer everyday right from the deck!
Overall, I highly recommend this property - it has a great location to Boone and surrounding area but with the privacy and quiet you wish for in a mountain retreat.

Perfect mountain getaway for the whole family!
This is a beautiful cabin that is private but only a few minutes from Boone. Clean, spacious and cozy with the most comfortable beds and endless amenities. The Wi-Fi, hot tub, and game rooms (yes two) will keep kids and adults occupied for hours. The views from the front deck were exquisite. Owner was attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended! We cannot wait to book again!

Fantastic Cabin!!!
I was looking for accommodations with a mountain view, cozy cabin feel, and as close to the town of Boone as possible and Mulberry Mountain View was the perfect cabin!!! We particularly loved the front porch seating with awesome view and the open, spacious kitchen/dining/living area. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfy, the linens were fresh and the kitchen was fully stocked. But our FAVORITE thing about this cabin were the games... pool table, basketball throw machine, air hockey, table shuffleboard and foosball! We had two family game nights and it was a fun way for us all to reconnect. We did not cook (vacation!) but picked up BBQ from the Pedalin' Pig and lasagna from Bellas Italian Restaurant...we highly recommend both these places (order in advance for pick up). Matt (owner) was also easy to work with and very accommodating. We will book Mulberry Mountain View for our next trip to Boone!

Perfect mountain cabin getaway
We combed mountain cabin rentals for weeks before we found this perfect little gem. Only a 3-hour drive from the Raleigh area, the well-built cabin was clean and carefully appointed with comfortable furniture and has a very private unobstructed breathtaking view of NC’s beautiful mountains. We loved the layout of the home and our family spent hours in the basement playing pool and hanging out in the game room. The hot tub is a great way to end a day after long and strenuous hikes on gorgeous nearby trails. The cooking amenities (including a brand new Weber grill) made meals a pleasure to prepare. This home is located within 15-20 minutes of downtown Boone and Blowing Rock so there are so many things to do in the area. We loved being able to utilize our 4WD on the way up the beautiful steep gravel road that leads up to the home too! The homeowner was extremely helpful and his hospitality was the best we’ve ever experienced while renting a vacation home (and we’ve rented many over the years!). We will definitely consider returning in the future!

Beautiful views. Quiet surroundings. Excellent accommodations!
To begin, you won’t find a more attentive owner who truly cares about you and your vacation. From adding new appliances and enhancements before we arrived, including a new Weber grill, to answering all our questions, the owner goes the extra mile and some! He even trimmed bushes and cut trees so our view of the mountains was unencumbered.
The home itself was spacious for our group of 5 adults and 4 children, and exactly like the pictures on the website. The bedrooms were large, especially the master, and the open living areas more than met our needs.
One of the first surprises to greet us when we walked in the front door was the large dining table capable of seating 12 or more—perfect for large groups—it was even larger than we expected! To add to our stay, the room had been festively decorated for Fall!
While the home was secluded, Boone is just a few short minutes away from grocery stores, restaurants, and activities. The children especially enjoyed hiking, Grandfather Mt., and the local gemstone “mine.” We didn’t feel like we wasted time traveling to activities since there is so much to do in the area.
One heads-up—the first driveway entrance is steep with loose stones but we simply followed the owner’s direction and used the second entrance without any issues. The first driveway was better suited for vehicles with more clearance than our Honda Pilot.
Would we stay again? Absolutely!!

Perfect location/great for weekend getaway with family!
We had a mini family vacation with friends here and loved the entire trip!
Location: Perfect—close to town, restaurants and attractions!
Drive way is steep-four wheel drive was recommended and I would advise as well especially if wet or snow.
Home: Clean. Well equipped Kitchen.
Game room was the best our kids spent hours playing. Hot tub was clean and ready on arrival and perfect to end the day!
We would rent again! I could not say enough good about no complaints whatsoever.

Imagine waking up with the mountains!!
Looking for a great place to have family time? You found it in this lovely, well furnished, spacious home in the mountains in Boone! Rocking in one of the chairs on the porch with your first cup of coffee, watching the mountains wake up with shades of pink outlining the mountains is beyond spectacular! I took my grown children/spouses, sister and grandchildren for a long weekend, (9 of us in all) and had lots of space to play and fix our meals. The downstairs is set up with additional sleeping space and bathroom, TV, pool table and lots of fun games to entertain any age. The hot tub at night under the moon and stars only added to our great experience. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of extras. The owner is great to work with and I feel like I have a new friend!! Would definitely love to stay there next year.
The drive way is a bit steep and you may need a four wheel drive if not use to driving in the mountains. If you are looking for a HOME, not just a house to rent, try this one out!

Our family booked the cabin on short-notice as members started getting work-from-home notices and the need for social distancing grew. Our group of 8 adults and one baby had a wonderful week in your beautiful, comfortable mountain home, which was spacious enough for people to spread out and work while others relaxed with a book or played with the baby. Although the weather wasn't conducive to using the hot tub, the pool table was a hit. The large dining table was a great spot for family meals and playing board games. The kitchen was better supplied than I expected and several items I brought from home - a coffee maker, toaster, griddle - were already there. One thing I did not bring was a can opener, and the only can opener in the kitchen drawer was broken, but we improvised. We were happy to support a couple of local businesses by getting take-out during our stay, but mostly we stayed in, enjoying the fresh air and peaceful view from the front porch, watching movies and keeping tabs on daily COVID-19 news briefings. and drawing strength from our time together before heading back to our respective homes and the worries of the world.

Overall we had a very good and peaceful trip. However we had several issues occur and very long wait time for a resolution. The cabin was not cleaned very well before we arrived as we found dirty sponges, other guests underwear left behind and dust everywhere. The big thing for us was that the AC did not work very well and it stayed at around 78 to 80 in the house which was too warm for me. We made the best of our trip but with a little more care and maintenance this cabin could be excellent.
3.0
Comfortable house and great views off the front porch. We did not have snowy weather but the driveways were extremely steep and difficult to get cars up. If you have trucks, it is a great place to stay.
3.0
Loved the view. Upon arrival no water pressure, but called the office and a quick fix of turning off the hose that had been left on to fill the house .. a quick fix. The hot tub never really got warm to the point of a hot tub. A few items did not work in the kitchen. ( can opener ) also the grill never worked properly either. It took 30 minutes to cook hot dogs and then had to cook steaks inside. The cabin was really nicely decorated and clean.
Very steep driveway as one of the driveway was washed away but we made it each time. Beautiful view off of porch..
4.0
I would advise guest that the drive up is very steep and cars without 4 wheel drive can have issues. Our kids cars did slip going up but we have a Jeep and had no problems.
Had a great time

This was a great place for our early Thanksgiving. The only negative would be the outside areas need lighting. The hottub area has no lighting and it is pitch black. Also the side of the house where the garage doors are have no lights.
4.0
The house was very nice. However, the road and driveway were in poor condition in some spots (in mid-May). My honda could not make it all the way up. SUVs could. We were traveling with older adults. Although there are bedrooms on the main floor, and on both levels, neither can be accessed without stairs. Due to the combination of these two factors I would not recommend this property for those with any mobility issues.
4.0
Beautiful view. Road to cabin is very bumpy and steep. Steps to enter the cabin are very steep and high. Cabin shows some needed repairs. Beds were very comfortable. Two events were very negative when we stayed. One, the DirecTV went off and we were without for an entire day and most of the night. Two, the heat in the lower game room areas would not work. This is the area that accesses the hot tub so the door was opened often. It was so cold it was difficult to stay down there and enjoy at all for the entire visit. One side has a propane heater that refused to light or work and the main side with the pool table has a wall unit. I asked for repair at 10:00am on day two and at 7:00-8:00pm a repair person showed up. He finally fixed the TV and was able to get the wall unit to barely put out a small amount of heat but not enough to help. With the TV not working and the cold, teenage boys were very frustrated.
4.0
Beautiful large cabin well suited to extended family visits. Lot's of room to spread out when one needs private time, and yet large dining room/kitchen/family room area for the entire crew to congregate. Well stocked kitchen - everything you might need - including a crock pot and a couple of large soup pots.
4.0
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The view from the porch was lovely and the kids especially enjoyed the hot tub and the games.
The inside of the home is comfortably furnished however it is very dark. The living room would benefit from some brighter bulbs and more lamps or brighter overhead lighting and it would have been lovely to have a screened door to open on the porch to enjoy the beautiful view from inside.
The road and driveway are very steep and all gravel and the house is remote and in the woods. It was quiet and the sunrises were lovely.
4.0
This cabin is beautiful and we would have giving a 5 star review, but we had no air conditioning half the time we were visiting. The cabin rental company did everything they could to keep us comfortable and they did refund us some expenses for our stay.
4.0
We had a great stay even though it rained for four days straight. This is a beautiful well equipped cabin.
Pros:
* Incredible mountain views
* Tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture
* Spacious rooms
* Multiple entertainment options, pool, foosball, basketball game, video game, etc.
Cons:
* Master shower is a little tight
* Oven was very small
* Recommend four wheel drive even in summer. Driveway is very steep and two wheel drive may have difficulty with clearance and slipping
5.0
The cabin is very nice, the view is breathtaking and we appreciate being able to bring our dog. There were a few worms in the game room we swept out also. A hair dryer would have been nice, but understand these are not in all cabins, but every one that we have stayed in except this one. The road and driveway are definitely not for small low cars and recommend 4-wheel drive all year around. Thank you for allowing us the use of your cabin, we hope to come again soon!
