About this house rental
Riverdell Cottage is a cosy, peaceful and well-equipped 3 bedroom home that provides a perfect base for your next holiday. It is ideally located; nestled among trees and with a north-facing open deck to view the nearby hills, Riverdell is an easy 4 minute drive to the entrance of Mount Buller.
Riverdell Cottage is ideal for a large family or a couple of smaller families as it accommodates 8 people (or up to 10 people with the use of the double sofa bed in the lounge; extra charge). The two main bedrooms (one with a full ensuite) each have a queen bed with electric blankets, the third bedroom has two sturdy bunk beds. The lounge room has an expansive comfy couch from which to enjoy the central wood heater, chill with a good book, or to relax and watch a movie. There is a games table with plenty of games to keep everyone happy and entertained. The well-equipped kitchen has a microwave, coffee plunger and sandwich press in addition to the familiar kitchen appliances. Riverdell has a main bathroom with separate toilet and laundry facilities. From the deck outside, you can enjoy listening to the gurgle of the Delatite River, appreciate the wildlife, or watch your friends and family throw a frisbee or vortex or play trackball (all provided) in the expansive reserve that abuts the rear of the property. A short walk will take you down to the River so you can cool down on a hot day or even try your hand at fishing. There is plenty to do in every season; enjoy snow sports atop Mt Buller, engage in mountain biking - including the Australian Alpine Epic Trail - all over Mt Buller and Mt Stirling, explore the many hiking trails and historic huts in the area, visit the Mirimbah park and playground, and explore the high country via 4 wheel driving, horse back, or dirt biking. Bustling Mansfield is also less than 20 minutes away. Or you may like to stay at home instead of venturing out and soak up the relaxing atmosphere and peaceful seclusion of Riverdell Cottage!

Cute cottage, stayed with family and friends - plenty of beds. Huge couch and some beanbags so everyone had a seat. Lovely that owners have left games, had lots of fun at the dining room table playing with the kids. Plenty of firewood for the fireplace and also heating. Great location so close to Mt Buller. Owners lovely to deal with and left detailed information down to recommendations for dinner, which we took up and had wonderful meals at The Hunt Club and Merrijig Motor Inn. Had the best time, thank you!

The house is very comfortable and cosy. Wood heater kept us warm at night and the lovely sitting on balcony in the sun.

Here for the Easter weekend, exploring autumn colours made and around Lake Eildon, and walks around Mt Buller. Fitted our party of 10 like a comfy glove around a hand.

The hosts were very prompt in communicating. The house was really lovely, was in a beautiful location, with a view. The house is close to all the amenities, walk, parks and trails.
The house was very well equipped, including board games which we enjoyed with the kids.
Would highly recommend this to everyone.
Thank you.

We had booked Riverdell for my sons 21st from mark and Julie. They all wanted to be close to Mt Buller to head up the mountain for snowboarding during the day.
Mark and Julie was very prompt with any questions I had and tried to assist with anything I needed.
The place was so lovely, beautiful view, lovely and warm(love the drying cupboards!), they had thought of everything with all the crockery, cutlery, even Tupperware for leftovers!
Rooms was clean, nicely decorated and towels and sheets were warm and comfy!! Heating was fantastic with split systems and wood fire!! Great…
It could do with a couple more council recycling bins as felt bad with 10 people all bins were full to the brim.
Besides that little thing- all was wonderful and highly recommend property to all.
Thanks Dee and brett (Declan’s mum and dad!)

Extremely comfortable lodgings - excellent for relaxing and winding down after a busy day on the slopes. We easily fit 4 adults and 4 children, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The decor and quality bedding was just the cherry on top! There’s also a great dryer for the snow gear - came in handy on the downpour day we experienced. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Perfect house to return to after a day at the snow! Well resourced, spacious, warm, and an amazing view of the bush land. Perfect for our group of 6 adults … even made use of some of the board games on offer. Great communication with hosts and easy processes. Would definitely return.

It would be even better if there is a heater or air conditioner in the third bedroom.

An absolute perfect cosy cottage
We were 3 families who stayed for the long weekend. The hosts, Mark and Julie, were very delightful and easy to communicate with. It was a smooth sailing transaction and the cottage was an absolute gem. We were even surprised to see a few deer running around near the back yard! Now that was an awesome experience! The cottage was complete with everything we needed. The kids were kept busy playing with the board games and outdoor games which were also provided. Beds were cosy and we all had really good sleep. We will definitely return and hopefully soon. Thank you Mark and Julie for your hospitality!
