About this house rental
Vintage Steel was built with the idea of being a smart house , thanks to the high density wall and ceiling insulation, double structural framework for added strength, energy efficient hot water system, all new plumbing and wiring and specialised home ventilation system. Outside, the extras keep coming - fully landscaped gardens featuring sandstone blocks and space for six cars, off street parking available. Vintage Steel was built in 1889 and used as a hay shed the building was then lovingly restored and renovated over a period of 6 years. The results are a stunning industrial warehouse with gorgeous views of the country side from bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms towards the rear of the property, rooms and verandah to the front of the house look over the pool area and out to where the sunsets.
Vintage Steel's 120 year history brings together the best of modern living and is only further enhanced with the fabulous vintage and artisan stores that surround Hinton and Morpeth which offer great coffee and dining by the river. There was rubbish left next to the bins when we arrived. The house was amazing and everyone loved how unique the property was

The BARN way exceeded our expectations. Well presented, clean & had all we needed plus more. The Host, Bernadette responded quickly to an issue we had and it was resolved within half an hour. Just one thing missing is a sound speaker so don't forget to bring your own !

This property was excellent for our family get together. There were plenty of bedrooms so couples didn't have to share and could have some privacy. The kitchen was large enough to cook for a large group and there was enough dining and hanging out space. We were all fascinated with the design of the property.

After booking this place months out from our required date & communicating with the owner of the property regarding early check ins, ect, We arrived to discover that another group of people were already checked in & had a wedding booked at this property. The owner was notified by cleaners of the issue & took over 30 minutes to get in contact with me. I was offered another property by the owner - via the cleaners, that was up for sale with an open house at 10:30 the following morning, her daughter was living in the house with her cats & was being kicked out to accommodate us & still needed to be cleaned. I rejected this property as it was completely unacceptable & when the owner finally called me, she was hardly apologetic. Whilst she did offer to find other accommodation for us I had already spoken with my girlfriend that I had organised the weekend for & she made a few phone calls & found us reasonable accommodation instead.
The owner spun me some story about a person with the same name moving into another one of her properties on the same day & hence the confusion HOWEVER she was communicating with the wedding booking via email/phone, myself via the stayz app which states at the top of the conversation which property you are discussing & the other person with the same name would have been via other means on a completely different property. I also received txt msgs at 1:30am requesting me to cancel so she wouldn’t be fined by stayz!! Good business manners, never again!!

We were a family of 10 adults & 4 children under 5. The property fitted us easily in regards bedrooms, bathrooms, open space, etc. Vintage Steel is well appointed with quality inclusions. Hinton is a handy location for Morpeth, Hunter Valley wines etc. Pub is a short walk from the property with a great bistro. The property had not been cleaned on our arrival due to a communication mix up. The issue was quickly resolved with the property manager and 2 cleaning crews arrived to get the job done in a timely manner.

We had the most relaxed time away with our group f church leaders - it was a great location for us to do our planning, relaxing and enjoying some much deserved downtime. Was great location and we enjoyed Morpeth for a morning coffee, great walks and a photo shoot in the country landscape for the next year ahead for our team. The split levels made for a great atmosphere but also a great space to dream and be creative in our thinking around the future. The sleeping quarters we amazing and the kitchen well appointed and just a great overall
Feel. We even had a few who braved the cold
And swam!!!

Our under 17’s netball team with coaches and managers have just enjoyed the most perfect long weekend in Vintage Steel whilst playing State Age at Maitland . The space was outstanding, everything catered for including an ice bath ( pool) post games . Lots of comments from the girls about how comfortable the beds were and lots of comments from the adults how well equip the kitchen was and how fabulous the fire was . Thank you Bernadette for all your care and communication xx

We had a group of 11 stay at the property and had a fantastic time.
The property is very unique and had everything we needed. The pool and aircon were great as we stayed on a very hot weekend.
The location was fantastic. There’s a pub just down the Rd, you’re surrounded by farms and heritage buildings, and the larger town of Morpeth is just 5 minutes away.
Would definitely recommend, particularly for large groups.

Spacious, well supplied place. Comfortably accommodated 11adults and a dog. There aren’t many photos on the Stayz app but the Venue is really cool and we all really enjoyed it. Highly recommend for bigger groups.

Gorgeous renovated barn with an industrial feel and quality touches. Nothing feels cheap and we had a group of 16 that slept comfortably. We had a lovely time.
Pool was great … the photos displayed are old and there isn’t grass out the front, now it’s pebbles with cars to be parked which was a shame because we were going to have a picnic and then couldn’t because the rocky driveway wasn’t reflected in the photos.
The description doesn’t give enough detail but the kitchen has plenty of dishes, plates, Cups, glasses so you don’t need to bring anything. We travelled with extra just in case. But didn’t need to bring anything.
Comfortable beds however some of the rooms didn’t have blinds so the Rooms were so bright in the morning meaning you couldn’t have a sleep in.
Communications was good with the agents. Prompt.

Beds were great, but with 15 people you need a bigger dining table. Also some of the bedrooms needed curtains or coverings.
Overall it was a great place and location
