NEW! Designer decorated cabin, recently remodeled with new SPA STYLE SHOWER on Sept. 1, 2023. Itfeatures wooded views, a hot tub, a gasfireplace, a fire pit, smart TVs, and fiber WIFI. All are just 1/2 mile from Cloudmont SkiResort & 5 minutes from DeSoto Falls. Whether you are looking to relax and unwind orgo on an adventure, this spacious yet cozy-feeling retreat has something for everyone to enjoy! - Pets- 25 pounds or less allowed - but no labs or retrievers due to shedding - Open floor plan with spacious living room and kitchen with gas fireplace
- Smart TVs with fiber internet -Keurig and drip coffee makers are supplied - Full-size hot Tub with privacy - Oversized wrap-around porch with charcoalgrill, rocking chairs, and outdoor furniture
- Outdoor firepit (wood supplied except in summer due to supply constraints)
- Locally commissioned artwork and designer-decorated interior. - There is also a loft with a sleeper sofa/Futon and work area. The steps are VERY steep. Make sure children are supervised and not recommended for senior citizens. - 6 Acres of peaceful wooded surroundings (common to see wildlife at dusk and dawn)
Please Note: This cabin is close to our sister cabin, Happy Hollow, next door. Larger groups or families can rent both for more fellowship and fun. No parties or events. In the fall, be aware that acorns can fall. We suggest you not park under an oak tree. We are not responsible for falling acorns.
Update: Exterior cameras are in use at the cabin for your protection and the protection of the property owners. They only monitor the parking area and a RING Doorbell. No cameras are invading your privacy.

The cabin was rustic setting, as we expected. The interior is nice, and exactly as the listing shows. We had a very nice 2- night stay.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days. Hoots Hideaway was just what we needed. Cabin was clean, bed was very comfortable & hot tub was a nice bonus. Address provided took us right to the cabin. We didn’t use any of the cooking utensils, since I wanted a break from that too, but there were plenty of supplies available. Cabin is near Desoto Falls. Will definately be back!

Cabin needs complete updating..bathrooms have no toilet for ADA COMPLIANCE..Step over shower concerning for seniors..poor lighting throughout cabin especially kitchen and living area..dusty mildew smell..bedroom linens old need to be replaced, blankets have holes

Wonderful time with clean accommodations in a beautiful setting. The Hot Tub was a great plus. Everything we needed was provided. Very satisfied with our experience!

The place was everything pictured and more! We had a slight problem with a bee nest and they immediately came and sprayed the area. Everything else was absolutely perfect! Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a Great Trip, Cabin is close to Everything, very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the Hot Tub.
Mentone Market is a short distance and was a Great Place to Pick up Lunch (Pizza is Awesome) and Picnic Sandwiches Salads, etc. Plan to visit again in the Fall!

It was a great trip, everything was provided that we needed and that we forgot lol.

Go through the 4 way stop turn left after .3? think directions were a little misleading on the left turn , seems as if it states turn right after .3 miles. just FYI for future guest. Air conditioner was out but property management was really responsive and moved us to a nicer cleaner unit with working AC. Also our original location could use some grip on the steps took a fall. could have been bad. Would not want to see an old person fall. lol. Thanks again had a great weekend.

Amazing, simply amazing. From start to finish my wife and I enjoyed each day we spent there. The hot tub was awesome, the kitchen was to die for, especially the garden sink. The bed, while not the most comfortable was still nice, but I think what we loved most was the peace we found on the mountain.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! The cabin was wonderful and the times we spoke with Natalie she was so nice and accommodating. We will recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the area!

We wanted to go somewhere to just enjoy each others company and relax. We never left the cabin once we arrived. We took our groceries, used the grill, did fires in the fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub. It was the perfect getaway for us! We will definitely be back!!! Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway!!!

The only thing that we were disappointed in was that listing had that cabin had both charcoal and gas grill. There was only a charcoal grill, no gas grill. We usually bring a small portable gas grill with us but didn't because it stated that one was already there. The other thing was bottom lock by kitchen entrance needs to be fixed. It seems that it is locked but it can just be pushed in to open it even though it is locked.

The cabin is great & everything is beautiful but the shower is needing an upgrade or at least a shower head that you can get under.

The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. We enjoyed the accommodations, including the grill and hot tub. Also, it is about a mile and a half from desoto falls and not much farther from desoto state park. Would stay here again when visiting this area.

Taken individually the following are not that critical, however taken together they diminish the guest experience.
No stopper for bath tub and the shower/tub control is stripped and nearly impossible to work
Oven is filthy and smoked up the cabin
Took me 20 minutes to clean the gas grill in order to use it and it is is very poor condition. All outside furniture needed cleaning
There is a drawer missing from the dresser in the primary bedroom and the door to the kitchen does not close completely
The oven handle panel is ready to fall off
Both bath night lites were burned out and we had to buy new bulbs
I should also mention that we accidentally broke one of the 2 wine glasses and purchased 2 new ones for the next guest.

We stayed here to break up a drive between St Louis and St. Petersburg. The place was nice and comfortable. The neighborhood was neat and we took our dog on walks around the area. There is a little trail to walk not too far from the road. Owners were responsive with communication. Would recommend this place.

Close to everything in Mentone and DeSoto State Park. Cabin had plenty of room for our family and we had everything we needed at the cabin for our stay.

This was the cutest, cozy little cabin in the woods! Easy check in, Property manager was friendly and helpful. So much to explore near by. Mentone is a cute little place to explore. Make sure you check out the other worldly gifts shop downtown for some amazing homemade soap. Would definitely recommend this cabin to friends!

This was the cutest, cozy little cabin in the woods! Easy check in, Property manager was friendly and helpful. So much to explore near by. Mentone is a cute little place to explore. Make sure you check out the other worldly gifts shop downtown for some amazing homemade soap. Would definitely recommend this cabin to friends!

Went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were fully happy during our stay. The cabin is very spacious and beautiful! Led color changing lights & little waterfall feature in hot tub were something my husband and I both loved. I can only tell you about the king size bed cause that is the only bed we laid in during our stay but let me tell you it was very comfortable and roomy. Love the artifacts and small touches in the cabin that made it very unique to other cabins we have stayed before. We have been on many trips and stayed in several cabins through the years together and we both agreed this was the best one we have stayed in yet and with the most comfortable bed ever anywhere. Can't wait to tell our friends about it and to return in the future! Thank you Chris Harris and Andy Martin for a wonderful experience!
