About this cabin rental

Summary:
Would you love to camp along the banks of the Saluda River without the hassle of setting up a tent? Our River Pod is the perfect mix between camping and comfort for two! You will need to bring your sleeping bag/bedding, pillow, towels, toiletries, and camping supplies. There is minimal electricity. The pod comes with a small fan to keep the pod cooler in the summer weather. Bring flashlights and lanterns for your walk to the bath house at night. We provide the shelter, beds, bathhouse, and spectacular view. And if you do want to add a tent for up to four more, just let us know.

The Space:
Each River Pod has 2 twin beds, a firepit with a grate you can cook on and minimal outdoor furniture. Staying in our pods is like camping except you don't need a tent. Our pods have electricity. There is a small space heater that keeps the pod comfortable. Please pack accordingly. We encourage you to bring anything and everything you would to go camping including but not limited to, sleeping' bags, power bank phone charges, flash lights and lanterns, cooler for food, and proper clothing. There is a bathhouse located on site. It is a short walk from our pods. They come with full electricity, showers with hot water, and restrooms. You will need to bring your own linens for the bathhouse.

Guest Access:
Please enjoy the scenic views and the beauty at Saluda Outdoor Center, where we offer tubing excursions throughout the summer. The SOC bathhouse is across the property and is to be used by guests and tubers, please expect it to be busy during the summer months.

The Neighborhood:
The Saluda Outdoor Center houses a tubing company that operates during the warmer summer months. While staying with us, we would love for you to enjoy the fun of floating down the Saluda River. Downtown Greenville is about 10 minutes from us and so is Easley. Clemson is less than 30 minutes from SOC. No matter where you adventure to you will find amazing coffee shops, yummy restaurants, and so many cool breweries.

Getting Around:
Bring your own car and camping supplies

Other Things to Note:
The $10 per person “extra guest fee” is to accommodate one tent next to the River Pod, up to four more guests. Larger tents will not be allowed, only max 4 person tent. If you need to accommodate more people, you will need to rent another River Pod with tent space. If this is the case, please contact us so we can help you with this reservation (and will save booking fees). Max capacity per pod is two, with tent occupants (4), and a total of six. Camp managers will be verifying the occupancy and violators will be asked to leave immediately.

Interaction with Guests:
This is a "pack in/pack out" site. Our pods have electricity and a small space heater to make the space comfortable. Be sure to bring lanterns, flashlights, and battery powered chargers. You will be responsible to leave no trace and to act respectfully of any other guests, neighbors, and the property.

I loved this place! Just a few feet off the riverbank. Lovely view. Quiet, private, and able to hear the frogs and crickets when you lay down at night. Highly recommended.

Charming & quaint. The Marigold River pod was 1 of 4 pods next to the Little Saluda River and woods. It was magical with the rippling sound of the river, the constant chirping of birds, and a turtle swimming downstream with the water current. An unexpected joy was the ability to open one side of the pod and have a full side view of the river and woods. Perfect for an afternoon siesta! Kat was very helpful with a special problem I had that I had failed to plan for ahead of time. If you love the outdoors, I highly recommend this spot!

Katie was a wonderful host. She was responsive and very accommodating. We were thrilled with the experience in the River pod and we were also supplied with an opportunity to stay for a bit in the GORGEOUS Chestnut tiny home. Will certainly be returning!

If it wasn't so cold I'd give it 5 stars. Dress warmly then put on another layer! Staff was excellent! Shower and restroom were adequate!

We enjoyed our stay at the Marigold pod. It was raining a lot (hurricane season) but it was still an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the brewery on location. The road was very busy but luckily didn’t bother us during the night. Overall, great stay.

I stayed there in the end of October, and it was cold at night! There is light and an outlet to plug-in your phone or other plug-in devices, so if I were to go here again, I might bring a space heater. Also, apparently all the stink bugs were out to play and were everywhere in the cabin and elsewhere. Other than that it was quite enjoyable! Being by the river and hearing the river sounds at night is so soothing. I was in Greenville for a conference and was very busy during the day, but I wished I had had the opportunity to spend more time by the water.

I have a friend that had never floated the river or camped! I know right??!! This was the perfect set up for a chill weekend not to far away. We had such an amazing time. The Pod was so cute, the grounds were well maintained and they even gave us some firewood. 13 Stripes was also amazing to have on-sight. It was a great way to ease my friend into the great outdoors! We’ll be back again!
