About this cabin rental
We are thrilled to share our cabin to allow your group to have the most amazing experience while staying at Brian Head. The Holyoak Cabin has huge rooms, 2 massive decks with sunset and sunrise views, an all wood sauna, 5 gas fireplaces, an old fashioned kitchen (with modern amenities), and an oversized dining and gathering area with high ceilings. In every room, you will be in awe as the unique design elements and architecture amaze you.
Also:
4-Wheel Drive (or All-Wheel Drive) is REQUIRED during winter months. Our cabin sits at 9,900 ft in elevation and receives heavy snow. It can even snow in the summer. The town of Brian Head does a great job of keeping the roads plowed, and we have the driveway plowed privately, however 4-Wheel Drive is still needed. We are not responsible for inaccessibility due to winter conditions, nor will refunds be offered if you are unable to arrive to the cabin if you lack the proper vehicle for access. If you have 4WD or AWD, you will be just fine.
We do not allow pets at the cabin. If pets are brought onsite, we must charge you an extra $550 for extensive cleaning including an allergen treatment. We have family who is highly allergic. Thanks for your understanding.
The Town of Brian Head has a formal Good Neighbor Policy that all guests must abide by. Key rules in the good neighbor policy include:
- No trespassing: even though much of the land around the cabin is open with trees, this is all private property. Please show respect to property owners by not trespassing and respecting the surrounding areas.
- Quiet hours between 10pm-7am.
- No parking on streets. Overflow parking as per map provided in town locations.
- Local authorities called to property due to tenants disruptions of peace will result in loss of deposit and and additional fees due to disturbances.

This property looked wonderful on-line. The setting and scenery were totally breath-taking! Sunrise and sunset were like no other.
We were very disappointed, however, with the layout of the bedrooms having 2 bathrooms. We found this to be very inconvenient with showering, etc. We also felt that it should not be classified as a 5 bedroom home with 3 of the bedrooms not having a closet. (Locked closets in two of the bedrooms).
One big concern on cleanliness was the mouse droppings found in the kitchen area. I find that to be unacceptable.
The grill was a joke…..needs to be replaced. There were also nails coming up in the deck. That is a real hazard with children especially and bare feet. The sauna seemed to not be functioning properly.
The outside bunk room door does not close properly which was problematic with locusts and bugs getting in. We had to prop a chair in front of it via the window to keep it closed.
Only one TV worked. The downstairs TV never had a remote. This home needs some TLC and with that TLC it could be a more wonderful place to stay.
Thank you for letting us stay!

Our two families (4 adults 5 teens) had an awesome vacation to Brian Head, staying at this house. The location and views were stunning. The house was comfortable and a good layout for our group.

The attention to details are lacking. NONE of the TV's worked through out the house, which after reading reviews haven't worked since 2022. The TV remote is missing the main power button and other remotes are missing the batteries. Also, the fireplace in the master bed room don't work. There is a main system that warms the entire house. However, it gets really hot upstairs and downstairs. The main floor is the only floor that has a comfortable temperature. The layout of the house is very strange. 2 bathrooms are in the master bed room room, side by side. One of these bathrooms do connect to a common area through the kitchen. Another 2 bathrooms are downstairs in the room, side by side. One of the bathrooms downstairs does not have hot water so, you'll also have to share 1 bathroom. There are 2 rooms downstairs, with the bathroom being in 1 room there is really no privacy since the people staying in the other area will have to walk through to use the bathroom.
One of the bedrooms advertised is detached from the main house. There is no bathroom in this room. It looks like they put a bed in a storage closet. It was very awkward. So we did not use that sleeping area, which limited the number of beds. Also, despite paying a cleaning fee you will be charged if you don't take out the trash to the dumpster down the road about a quarter mile and they do ask that you throw a load of towels in the washer before you leave. The property does have very beautiful views.

The house was in a great location that was secluded. Clean big house woth everything you need. The wood work was amazing.

Plenty of space for everyone to roam around and chill out after fun days on the slopes! Dan was very pleasant and easy to communicate with.
The only reason I gave 3 stars on cleanliness is because we did have to clean up mouse droppings in all the utensil drawers and throughly clean them out as well as pick up and discard a dead mouse in trap. There were quite a few smudged hand prints in the inside of the windows which had been there previous. We gave amply time for the sauna to warm up which did not come to fruition, and again I know Dan was probably unaware of the mouse issue, but it should be addressed with the cleaners FOR SURE as well as their attention to detail before guests arrive.
Overall the cabin did host our entire family for a great Christmas adventure.

We had trouble getting inside with the code when we arrived but eventually got in. The day prior, we were told that one bathroom was out of order due to a flood weeks ago. Only 2 of the 4 fireplaces were working so that meant that one room was too cold to occupy. Master bedroom TV was still not working. The WiFi is really bad, if you have school work or business to do, this will hinder you. There is no privacy in the bedrooms at all. The loft is open to the master bedroom. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was stocked with necessities and linens. The location was great for snowboarding/skiing. I would say it sleeps 12 comfortably, not 18.

Beautiful spacious cabin!
Beautiful cabin, checking in was a little difficult the code didn’t work. Luckily the snow sweeper helped my daughter & we were able to enter. My only suggestion would be in the Kitchen to have a muffin tin & a electric skillet. The Master bedroom TV didn’t work! All minor things!
Overall great experience!
