So, overall this is definitely an older home with interior that could use a fresh coat of paint and some TLC.
Pros: Exterior is beautiful, the front porch is really nice, and the location is great! It is so accessible to Waynesville, hiking, Ashville, etc. There is plenty to do and great restaurants, coffee shops, etc. within easy driving distance and the really lovely walk all the way around Lake Junaluska that is about 2.5miles right outside the front door.
Cons: You can see some of the quirkiness of this old home in the pictures (for example, stand-alone sinks in the bedrooms). And just because its old doesn't equate to bad but I think what really hurts this property as a rental is level of hygiene, the old bedding and dingy carpets which do not make it very comfortable. Cleanliness was really an issue. Our family has had plenty of experiences with rentals but there were some things that just grossed us out. We came in for the first time late after attending a wedding (about 11pm with check-in open at 4pm) and in the first bathroom although the "santized" tape was over the lid the seat and underside of the lid had still wet URINE and HAIR all over it. The floors were dirty (sticky in some places... yuck), and bugs. in. the. kitchen. and really all down stairs. Lastly, some of the bedding had stains which in my opinion is a really big no no for a rental. Another note for warmer months the air conditioning struggles up stairs and it is a bit tough for sleeping. The room units didn't really cool down ever and the ceiling fans weren't very effective either.

Location was amazing! View was great. furniture is comfortable. Outside furniture is a bit dated on the front porch, but OK Internet was a bit slow. Overall it met our needs. And is great for a larger group.

The cozy interior reminded me
Of being at my Grandmas. View and overall location within Lake Junaluska was perfect. Very homey feel.

My wife and I shared A Beautiful View with another couple. We loved it there. The view was spectacular, we made good use of the porch and there was ample room for both couples. The house was old but charming.
The only down side to our stay was the water pressure. There were at times hardly enough pressure to take a shower.

The house itself provided plenty of space for six women. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and linens provided. The view of the lake from the front porch was absolutely beautiful. The gift/coffee shop was a nice walk from the house. The only complaint would be they do need to address the landscaping as it is becoming very overwhelming and would make it a much nicer place if it were tended to.

We have stayed at A Beautiful View every June for over a decade. The home feels like part of our family now, as it is full of memories from three generations of our family reuniting each year. We see a wonderful improvement in the way Vacasa is managing the rental now. Every detail thought of, every hiccup quickly addressed. Highly recommend!

Lovely older home with ample space for 4 long-time friends. Front porch was the best place to sit and watch the lake and swans. Kitchen had everything we needed plus lots more. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were adequate although one is quite compressed. Thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Loved the quaint home. We named it the hobbit house🤗

The house is charming and the view is beautiful. The location is excellent. The kitchen is overcrowded with pots and pans etc. with no room for groceries. Very limited prep space and pots and pans etc. in poor condition. Mattress in front bedroom needs replaced. Not enough garbage bags or pods for dishwasher. Wrong kind of filters for coffee maker and batteries dead in remotes. Number of spiders inside house.
