About this house rental
Come and enjoy a glass of bubbly overlooking the beautiful Scottish countryside in one of our two hot tubs. Glenerrick House is in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the perfect balance between glorious luxury and the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountains and Lochs. A large country house set in an elevated position overlooking beautiful mountains and close to Loch Knockie and Loch Ness. The perfect getaway.
Relax in one of our two hot tubs and bbq your favourites on the deck, or if the Scottish weather has you preferring the inside, cosy up by one of the wood fires in the living rooms. Our property is a spacious and comfortable 8 bedroom home with 3 reception rooms and dining options inside or out on the decking. (There are 3 superking bedrooms and 5 king bedrooms. In two of the bedrooms, the beds can be separated into twins upon request.) The castle-like turret, the quality finishes inside, and underfloor heating throughout the downstairs, and beautifully presented interiors show the careful planning in the design of our home. The kitchens come with a complete range of units, hobs, and integrated appliances as you would expect, double oven, dishwasher and the main kitchen has a wine cooler. We are almost completely emissions free using solar panels, solar hot water and air source heat pumps. There is a gated driveway which leads up to the courtyard where there is ample parking. The garden area is large, with a pond, sauna pod, wood store and beautiful views. (Please note the pond has a fence around it with a latch gate, it has a couple of benches beside it to relax on, but please supervise children at all times.)
This house is somewhere to have a fantastic holiday whilst embracing the rugged beauty and timeless enchantment of the Scottish Highlands. Glenerrick House is a short drive to the shores of Loch Ness and is set in some of the region’s finest scenery at the foot of the Monadhliath Mountains. There are amazing viewpoints for photos near by, there are hiking and bicycle trails, there is a cafe nearby where you can have a delicious brunch while watching the numerous Highland Cows. You can drive to Inverness for shopping or beauticians, or to Drumnadrochit for a boat trip on Loch Ness to spot Nessie! There are castles, distilleries, Foyers waterfall, eateries, Dores beach, and much more in daytrip distance. You don't need to travel to the Kincraig Scottish Wildlife park, our garden is regularly visited by the local deer, grouse and pheasants, and a host of local birds.

The house is huge - effectively two houses joined together, so perfect for a large party (we were 12). There were a few issues (showers not draining, sauna not working) that detracted from the overall stay. But if you’re looking for a base on the quiet side of Loch Ness to explore the region, this place is perfect.

Our family of 14 had a wonderful week in this property. It is amazingly spacious - allowing each group their own room and bathroom, as well as having multiple lounges with TVs, multiple dining areas, and even 2 kitchens! Pure luxury. Kids had an absolute blast in all the rooms and playing table-tennis. The location is great too...Fort Augustus 10 mins away is suprisingly well stocked and Inverness and FOrt William slightly longer drives for bigger shops (although Tesco does deliver). The local pub at Whitebridge is a must, as are the team rooms just outside Foyers. Thank you Alexandra!
