Dalton-in-Furness is full of ancient history, with Dalton Castle dating back to the 14th century, Victorian architecture and an array of pubs and restaurants.. 1 step to entrance.

Public car park free of charge, 30 metres away.. This end-terrace property has a real traditional cottage feel, with an open-plan living space which is the hub of the home. The ancient town of Dalton-in-Furness lies in a narrow valley on the part of Furness which extends deep into Morecambe Bay. Within easy reach of the town is the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, which is very much concerned with conservation. The charming town of Ulverston is about a 10-minute drive, and is the birthplace of Stan Laurel, and home to the world’s only Laurel and Hardy Museum. There is also the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, International Centre for Modern Buddhism and Temple for World Peace. A very popular day trip is the steam train from Haverthwaite up to Windermere on the Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Well worth a visit is Lakeland Motor Museum. Dalton railway station gives easy access to Barrow-in-Furness, or in the southerly direction, to Grange-over-Sands, Arnside and Lancaster. To the north of Dalton-in-Furness is the spectacular Duddon Estuary and Duddon Valley, with Cartmel and Grizedale Forest within easy reach. Beach 3 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
