Old country mountain home with lots of charm. Close to a large grocery store with a nice wine selection. We bbq’d every evening and just relaxed. Loved mornings on the porch drinking coffee. We saw a few deer in the yard. We also did some sightseeing around the blue ridge parkway. I would definitely go again.

When I look for a home to rent I look for a place that feels loved. The owner's clearly love this little gem in the mountains. Even the rain could not dull my stay. It was perfect in every way. I highly recommend this mountain retreat. So much charm and character. Thank you Vacasa for yet another wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was great. The only thing that we didn't like was the ability to control the temperature. We like for the temp to be a bit cooler and we weren't able to do that. We also couldn't open windows to get some air moving and there weren't any ceiling fans to keep the air moving either, so sleeping was a bit difficult. Other than that, it was a good time.

The home was absolutely beautiful and in such a peaceful location. It wasn’t so far out of the city where it was inconvenient, but far enough where we felt like we were truly on an idyllic vacation. Would recommend!

My family enjoyed our stay at the Idyllic Cornerstone. There was plenty of dining and sleeping space for our family of six. The house is conveniently located in a rural area but with great access to the city. We would definitely choose again.

Absolutely a place to stay and relax.
We had a great relaxing time at this beautiful place.
Everything we needed was there.
This is a rustic older home with a charm to the heart.
We go out when we can to these areas and then drive around discovery small antique stores etc.
As we stay in this house; it just absolutely beautiful as you can see the mountains by the sunroom and see the beautiful sky at night by the deck.
There is a small farm infront of the house across the street and a creek that you don't see it but the sound is very peaceful.
Rocks that you will see at this house were brought from that running creek as I heard.
So this house was made from materials close by on those days.
Overall; we loved it and recommend 100%.
Thanks to owners for letting us use this jewel.

Great place with incredible view!
This place was awesome. I am staying in many many vacation homes and the pictures for this home are extremely accurate. Fire pit was fantastic. The ancillary items in the home left by the owner for the guests is generous including soaps shampoos even wood for the fire pit! Less than 20 minutes to downtown Asheville yet in the mountains and not far from wonderful trails to drive through. Home was clean and very comfortable.

We loved this beautiful, historic house. Immaculately clean. Loved the feel of walking into history. If it's not all original woodwork, cabinets, floors, etc., the homeowner did a GREAT job restoring it. Would definitely stay here again.

An enjoyable and cute little hideaway gem
Extremely neat and well appointed home with 3 bedrooms and 1 shared bath. The instructions are all clear. The drawers and cabinets are labelled and makes finding things easy. Google overshoots the entrance so go slow as you approach the property.
The host was also available via text. There are TVs in each bedroom as well as the Living room. You can access your Netflix / Prime account if you like. The hosts provided ample toiletries, towels and blankets. Everything was extremely clean and neat. In the laundry, the hosts have provided soap and softener sheets. I loved that attention to details. Kitchen has a teapot and coffee maker with coffee and filters. Some assorted spices and a small bottle of Olive oil is also provided.
Shopping is about 4 miles away but that is expected. The place is quiet and located on a slope overlooking a farm. We watched the farm workers use some equipment to spray insecticides. Being city dwellers, we found it very intriguing and relaxing.
We visited Biltmore and the NC Arboretum (it had a beautiful photography display and many options for hikes). We also drove around the town and enjoyed a sit-down tea place.
The hosts have provided two or three shelves of assorted books and I saw several good titles for a rainy day read. They have also provided some board games - we enjoyed a couple of hours of playing with them.
Overall, enjoyed our stay immensely.
