A great place with unique personality.

Property is mostly what hosts describe it to be only in our case we had to experience sharing the kitchen and dining area with many roaches and ants. There is a scary Halloweenish element to the house which looked staged although host denied that. This scary closet under the stairs frightened my three young adult daughters who arrived there at night and before us. They waited for an hour outside in driveway until we got there. The host did send pest control guy a as soon as he could but then we had to deal with dead and dying roaches in cabinets on the floor and in the dishwasher. It helped but even on the last day we had to clear plates from the table that were swarmed with ants and we saw another live roach come out from the stove and counter crack. As soon as you bring out food to prepare, the hungry roaches appear. It was not enjoyable. We rely on the kitchen feature to save money on dining. In this case, we had eaten out most of the time and spent hundreds more than we anticipated with our family of six. Host offered a $100 refund but we thought that it would be more fair for them to comp one nights stay plus taxes or fees . This made host accuse us of manufacturing complaints to get a refund. Then they came back with wanting to charge me for a 40 minute late checkout fee. The area is beautiful and if it weren’t for the scare and the bugs, we may have enjoyed our vacation. We were not compensated with the one night refund. Very disappointed.

This was my first VRBO, i found all the photos and descriptions of the VRBO to be true if not better in reality. The house was clean and and well maintained. The owners were accommodating to any requests and very informative
about the area. We hope to return next year!

We were 4 guys having a reunion. We found the home spacious, well stocked and comfortable. The deck off of the living room was a great hang out space overlooking a park and the Rainbow River. We would go there again.

This house had everything we needed and the SPACE! 2 families with multiple aged kids was A worry, but there was space for family time, space to sneak away for alone time, and separate space for kids and for adults. (Bless the loft!) Gorgeous sunlight and views all throughout the day until sunset, and SO close to everything we needed. But no need to bring anything but groceries because it’s got everything you could need! This home really made our time together perfect!

Perfect location close to the river with a view. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious for 7 of us along with 3 dogs. The owner is very prompt in communicating and flexible with check in and check out which we really appreciated. We made great memories here and it was a 5-star stay for our family at Rainbow River. Also our favorite breakfast place is Purple Sage and is only a 1 minute drive.

This home was beautiful, exactly as listed! The park that is across from the house is $2 per person to enter and when there is no attendant there is a box for the cash as an honor system.
Be warned for older adults, young toddlers or pets there is a ton of stairs. My mom was having a bit of trouble going up and down so just keep that in mind.
The beds were so comfortable and no one had any trouble sleeping, there are also plenty of towels so dont worry about bringing any!
So many amenities nearby also! My dad and I went on a 3 hour kayak ride through the springs and passed right by the property. Truely a wonderful location and the owners were always helpful and quick to respond with any inquiries. Highly recommend!

We had a great weekend just having family time. It was a bit chilly for kayaking but we went blueberry picking, did the state park. Everything was so close to the home which was very clean and spacious with a pretty view. The hosts? I can’t say enough; So Kind, responsive, accommodating. This place was the perfect spot for our family. Thank you for having us.

My husband and I, adult kids, grand kids and mom had a wonderful time at this house. The park behind the house is a perfect place for the kids and adults to safely swim, BBQ and enjoy the outdoors. The house had everything we needed. We rented a pontoon boat one day about a mile away from the house and took a scenic trip up the river, stopping at swimming holes along the way. I would 100% visit this house again.

We enjoyed our stay! It was clean, very comfortable and so close to the bike trails and river. Even though it is at the public entrance to the river, it never got loud, and the gates close at 6, so the evenings were peaceful on the balcony.

This home is exceptionally clean. The furnishings are in great condition and the home is very tastefully decorated. The location is very close to shopping, grocery, fast food etc.. the back porch is prefect to drink coffee and stare at the beautiful rainbow river. The host is by far the best VRBO host i have dealt with. Very easy going. We were early to the home and they told us we could go in at anytime we wanted which was very nice. I would stay here again positively. The entire experience was fantastic and we have stayed at other homes on this river. But they were not as good as this one.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The small park behind the house is convenient and the view from the upstairs is wonderful. The $2/person fee for the park is very reasonable. We launched the paddle board and kayaks from the park easily, carrying them down with the convenient carts in the garage. Unfortunately, pets aren't allowed in the park, but the walled-in backyard was perfect for our dogs. Two of the kayaks leaked badly, and we didn't know until we couldn't paddle them home, but Andy promises to replace them before we go back -- and we definitely want to go back! Great communication and very easy place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay - Communication was excellent. The proximity to the park, and river cannot be beat. The small park was an absolute treasure- the children had a wonderful time playing in the crystal clear water which was comfortable - at least for kids- in February. The park was very well maintained. The beds in the house were comfortable, and the back porch was spacious and provided a great place to dine on sunny days. The tv in the living room is small, but we didnt go to watch tv. We wanted to enjoy the outdoors- we swam with the manatees at Crystal River which was a 30 min drive away, and nearby Citrus Springs Golf was fun and reasonable. It should be noted that this is a pet friendly place so if you have allergies bring some appropriate meds- we had a couple in our group that were sensitive to it. We would certainly recommend the place, especially if you want to bring your pet.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at The End of The Rainbow. It's comfortable and in a great location. It fit our family of seven perfectly. Andy is a great communicator! He was also very flexible and kind about the check in and check out times. If we're ever in Dunnellon again, we would definitely stay at this home!

This place was perfect for our family Thanksgiving. We throughly enjoyed the house. It was the perfect location to everything. The view of the river is fantastic from several windows in the house. Our granddaughter caught her first fish from the dock in the park. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! A+

I absolutely loved this place. It was beautiful, scenic and comfortable. The only thing we don't like was the bedrooms didn't have TVs in them and my kids were creeped out by this crawl space room that had a desk with two Polaroids on it and a butter knife. They thought it was creepy. Beyond that it was amazing and definitely recommend

We enjoyed the place however the place was not cleaned recently, there was cob webs everywhere had to clean some of them. That was our only problem. House was very stocked with everything that was needed. View was great. House is perfect for large family gatherings. Just make sure cleaning crew comes in before guest to insure that it doesn’t look like it has been empty for while.

The house literally backs up to a wonderful swimming hole and for $2 pp a day, you can just walk down to the rainbow River. It was a perfect spot for us. The house is quirky, I had to look for the extra bedrooms (they are downstairs. Behind doors that aren’t super obvious). The kitchen and house are well stocked. I will definitely come back. Andy could not have been nicer nor more accommodating.

We had a great time and the hosts were very accommodating. The house is a great location, only 5 minutes from Swampys restaurant as well as the park that is free to drop you paddle board. The downside was there is a state park right behind the house and they do not allow you to drop a paddle board, canoe or kayak and they charge $2 per person just to enter. The house has great kayaks, floats, etc, but without a truck to transport them, they are of no use.

Location was wonderful! House was beautiful and clean! There were alligators in the area so weren't able to swim. But found beautiful springs very close by and enjoyed those

Overall our stay was great. The property manager was very helpful, the location was great, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the cleanliness. The house was “dirty” necessarily, it just wasn’t cleaned very well. I’ve spoken with the property manager about the issues and he already started clearing them up so I’m not going into detail but I feel confident that the next person to stay will have zero complaints going forward.
