The Property:
You enter the main and middle level of the home. This main level includes the kitchen, formal and secondary dining areas, a formal living room and secondary family room, a half bathroom, mud room, laundry room, the master suite, and a large back deck. All that on one level, this is a large house! It also has a great layout with feng shui flow. The kitchen is great for entertaining. It features double stack of convection ovens, a separate microwave oven, and a double basin sink overlooking the back yard. The long granite island includes a gas range, and bar seating for 3. The cabinetry includes traditional and glass panels as well as a built-in wine and beverage rack. There is plenty of counter, cabinet, and pantry storage space for your foods and enough cooking and serving pieces for larger groups. This kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, very functional and high quality too. The kitchen has a secondary dining nook for 6 and opens to the cozy family room with a 70-inch HDTV, as well as a large stone fireplace with a custom Italian iron face. There is also access to the large back deck which includes a teak outdoor dining table, comfy lounge chairs (table and chairs stored during winter), plus a gas grill. Also, off the kitchen, toward the front of the home, is the formal dining room. This large room easily accommodates a table for 8 to 10 people plus a buffet table. From the dining room you can walk through the 2-story foyer and into the formal living room. This living area has a large sectional couch, another gas fireplace, another HDTV, and opens to the family room. Take our 3D tour for a virtual walk through of the home. In between the family and formal living rooms is access to the master bedroom. It features a memory foam King bed, reading chair, gas fireplace, and a large bathroom suite. The bathroom portion includes a water closet, a long vanity with dual sinks, a freestanding vessel bathtub, a massive multiheaded shower stall. The large closet is off the master bathroom, so it serves as both a bathing and dressing room. There's even a door with direct access to the back deck.
Downstairs you'll find the walk out basement and a lot more space to spread out. Not your typical basement, this space is beautifully renovated with a light and airy feel. There's a den area with sleeper sofa, library, and access to the lower level's full bathroom. Then you have the rec room area, which includes a high-top bar with chairs, a foosball table, and a beautiful web bar with a beverage refrigerator, microwave, multi-level countertop, and floating shelves in front of beautiful tile backsplash. This area connects the den area to the next living room, or home theater area. This large space includes two leather sofas and an oversized chair with ottoman that surround and face the very large HDTV and stereo system. This is a great place to watch movies or sporting events. Also on this lower level, just outside, is the 6-person private hot tub.
There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the upper level. The upper west side includes bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed and a 55-inch TV. Bedroom 3 is a large room with a King bed, a 55-inch TV, and views of the river. The bathroom for bedrooms 2 and 3 is accessible from the hallway, or directly from Bedroom 3. The upper east side includes bedrooms 4 and 5. Bedroom 4 is another large room with a Queen bed, TV, and views of the river. Bedroom 5 has two Twin over Twin bunk beds-- 4 Twins in all. Bedrooms 4 and 5 both have direct access to the other upper level bathroom.
The outdoor space is a big plus at this home. The flat front yard is ideal for play, for making snowmen and snow angels. The back yard has enough space between trees and enough slope for some fun sledding and a boulder to play on. In the summer, gather around the either fire pit (gas burning on the deck or wood burning on the river) and relax in the adirondack chairs by the river listening to the water and sounds of nature. Catch and release fishing is allowed. This house features wireless 1 GB high speed internet, in-floor radiant heat and a Ecobee Thermostats throughout, as well as laundry facilities. Ski season guests will appreciate the 16 pair boot and 16 pair glove dryer in the epoxied floored garage. The floor is cleaned in between each guests so you can expect it be clean.
Location:
The home is located on Riverwood Drive. It's just 1 mile from the Quicksilver Super 6 Chairlift and downtown Breckenridge. To get to either, you can walk, or use the bus. In winter, you'll probably want to use the bus, which picks up and drops off about 100 yards from the house, at Trafalgar Drive and Broken Lance Drive. In summer, walking or biking is very doable and fun. Though you're very close to all of the action, the home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood. You'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the ski resort and downtown when you relax in the back yard, surrounded by Lodgepole Pines, the Blue River, friends and family. At this home, you get the best of both worlds.

Loved it! I’ve had lots of trips to Colorado, this has been one of my favorite.

Our extended family felt very comfortable in this lovely home! We especially loved the efficient, well-supplied kitchen since we prepared all our meals at home together. The nice deck received shade by dinner time so we enjoyed eating outside surrounded by towering pines and the river sounds. Several deer strolled through the yard one morning. Comfortable couches, chairs, and beds were appreciated, as well as all the instructions. The layout of bedrooms allowed us to spread out, including the comfortable basement sofa sleeper and full bathroom. The location feels secluded with almost no traffic, yet just 1 block from the shuttle stop. The fishermen didn’t catch any trout on the property because the river was running pretty fast, but plenty of other places to fish nearby. It was nice to know Russ was so available in case any need had come up during our stay.

What a find……beautiful home nestled by the river and within walking distance to the town of Breckinridge.
The owner was in touch with us at all times and made our stay very easy . Highly recommend this home. The deck is so awesome I could spend hours out there. There are lots of activities near by also.

This property was perfect for our large family of all ages! Russell thought of everything and we loved our stay! Access to ski lifts and Main Street was very convenient. The house was immaculate and had just anything you could think of to entertain small children or adults! Russell was super accessible and kind when we interacted. I would absolutely book this place again and recommend to everyone! Thanks for the memories Russell

Everything about our stay was great. The house is beautiful, large, well located, extremely clean, and very well equipped. The air hockey and foosball tables were especially fun for our kids. The owner was very easy to get ahold of and the house is setup perfect for a VRBO rental. The house is gorgeous with a short drive to downtown Breckenridge and the slopes. The entire house is labeled throughly so you will never have questions operating appliances, garage, fire places, AC, etc. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Breckenridge.

We spent 5 nights, including Christmas, with 3 generations, ranging in age from 5-68. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked well for the Chef we had come in one night. Excellent location...very convenient to shuttle that takes you the short mile to town and/or ski slopes. Kids had a ball playing in the snow at the house. Glove & boot drying rack in the garage was awesome. Owner was very helpful aiding with boxes I shipped for Christmas gifts. I'd highly recommend it for a family vacation.

This house is fully stocked, crock pots, lemon squeezer, EVERYTHING! Best stocked house we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many! The house is beyond beautiful & the location is perfect for skiers! Garage is also amazing for skiers! Would recommend this home to everyone! Plenty of room for big families or friend gatherings. The home owner is wonderful and responds quickly to questions. Space heaters supplied if needed, my older in laws definitely made use of them & cool misters for the dry air! Honestly have no complaints!

Rivers Edge was a perfect place to celebrate a family Thanksgiving. The setting is picturesque. The house is beautiful, fully equipped and perfectly located for a walk or short drive or bus ride into town. After a day of skiing, the hot tub and fire pit on the deck were perfect places to relax. For some of us, playing games, doing puzzles and reading by the fireplaces were the best activities. Communication with the owner was great. We received a detailed Welcome Packet and list of recommended activities in advance. Russ checked in with us before, during and after our stay. Check in and check out were a breeze. We've had many VRBO stays and Rivers Edge is the best. We look forward to returning in the spring or fall.

Our family rented this house on VRBO, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for our young family – aged 4 and 18 months. The .7 mile walk to the main street was a breeze, allowing us to explore Breck daily. Evenings were enjoyed by the fire pit on the deck, and the kids couldn’t get enough of the backyard, which has private access to a river. The owners quick and helpful responses were much appreciated as we had many questions. Would absolutely love to stay here again.

We loved our time at Rivers Edge. The home was comfortable and complete with everything we needed to spend time as a family. The kitchen was well stocked and we had wonderful meals in the dining room and on the deck! The setting was perfect and access to the River so fun for our kids. Owners were responsive and incredible helpful! Highly recommend!

Outstanding. Beautiful home with plenty of room to roam. The location with the mountain stream entertained the children for hours. The house was well equipped for anything you need. 5 stars all around. Would stay there again without hesitation.

If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would. There was not a thing wrong with this house and was more amazing than we ever could have imagined. After having another house cancel on us last minute, the host made everything seamless and help get us back to having a perfect vacation. The house was more than roomy enough for our 14 people, and allowed us to all be comfortable without being cramped. Easy access to town with the bus a very quick walk away. The garage had a nice set up for boot, glove and ski storage. Will definitely be looking this place up for any future trips.

The house was clearly well maintained and everything was in working order. The house is a short drive from town and the lifts, and the shuttle stop is close. We had a great time!

We celebrated Christmas in Breck and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! There was plenty of room for everyone, it’s close to downtown and had everything you would need!
Our group had 4 kiddos and they thought the bunk beds were awesome! The grown ups thought the fireplaces, TV’s and the fridge that makes coffee were so cool.
We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful property
We had a family reunion with 15 people (9 adults, 3 teenagers and 3 children) for which this house was ideal. There was plenty of space, a great kitchen, spacious deck, accommodating common areas and room for 5 cars. The house was extremely well appopinted with lots of cookware and appliances, plenty of tableware, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Communication with the owner was easy and effective.

Fabulous !!
Oh my ! We just returned from a fabulous week in Breckenridge with our family and I cannot say enough about our stay at Rivers Edge. From the time I made our reservation , Russ was available to answer questions, offer recommendations for restaurants ,activities and checked on us during our stay to make sure all was going well.
I have stayed in many rental homes through VRBO and others for years now and this home is by far the nicest experience I have ever had. The home is equipped with everything one would need or want ! It sits on a quiet cul de sac with a river that runs along the back and is a beautiful sight and sound from the back deck. The hot tub and fire pit were a welcome place of relaxation after busy days of hiking, riding scooters ,horseback riding and walking into town for activities. We also had fun playing Foosball in the basement .
There is room to spread out and also great space to gather as a family for meals and nighttime games.
We had small children and the crib, high chair and gate to block the stairs were very much appreciated.
I could go on and on about our experience but I will say that it has made us all believers in going to Breckenridge and staying at Rivers Edge for our summer vacation instead of the beach in Florida !
Thank you Russ for sharing your lovely home and making our trip exceptional with all the extras that you have provided!
We will be back!

Great home, great location, great host
Dealing with Russ was easy. Checkin was a bit late due to the previous guests making a mess, but Russ made it right by sending us to dinner the day we arrived.
Top notch home and would definitely stay again!
