This house was absolutely amazing. We had two families, the house was very clean and the four king beds were extremely comfortable. The amenities were more than enough. The real magic was the pond and it’s view. It was incredibly peaceful and a stone’s throw away from Lake Winnipesaukee. I much prefer visiting lake Winnipesaukee during the day and retiring back to the peace and calm of the house. The kayaks and paddle boat were used daily. The Weber grill was a great addition also. This place is an easy five stars. Thank you Shanna!!!

We've stayed at Wakondah Pond before and came back for all the right reasons - a spacious, well-appointed house with an incredible screened-in porch overlooking the pond, plenty of kayaks and of course the loons. The host is attentive and responsive and we couldn't have asked for an easier experience. We'll be back!

We had such a great time at this lake house last year that we had to come back…and I’m so glad we did! Ideal location, very clean, comfortable, and spacious for our family of 5. Private lakefront property with easy access to conveniences and adventures. We took full advantage of everything this place offers: beautiful views, kayaking, grilling/cooking family dinners, fishing, swimming, bird watching, and also as a base camp for some of our big adventure days (hiking in the white mountains and boating on lake Winni). The owner is easily reachable and has thought of everything. They’ve also made some nice improvements since we were last here. We’ll be back next summer!

We had a wonderful time , the house has a great “lake vibe”, it is very convenient to town and outdoor activities. It was oppressively hot (90+) when we were there so the upstairs ac units were running constantly and extremely appreciated. I would recommend a few ac units for the 1st floor/living area.
All and all, great host with a wonderful property.

Our group of 5 celebrated a birthday and the 4th of July on Wakondah Pond. We enjoyed our stay very much. Pertinent info...
- 4 comfortable king size beds, 3 medium mattresses and 1 firm
- Pretty pond teeming with fish, frogs, fire flies and dragonflies, no gas motorboats allowed- so it is very quiet
- Mosquitos near the lake at night, so be prepared.
- Floating dock for jumping into the beautiful pond.
- Pond is surrounded by mountains and very picturesque
- Kitchen had all the kitchenware/appliances needed to prepare and serve meals to a large group
- AC upstairs/ basement suite was naturally cool. Fans provided for 3 bedroom also.
- Peaceful, screened-in porch
- 3 bathrooms with showers (hot water for all)
- Every area was clean. I am picky about clean, and I was very happy!
- Responsive host and care-taker. Every question was answered promptly, I had no problems, but I am confident any problems would have been addressed quickly. In fact, I left a pair of eye glasses behind and Laura offered to mail them back to me the next day- no charge!
- Short trip to grocery store (but go early, a lot of traffic later in the day)
- 3 kayaks and a paddle boat, plus life jackets for a variety of sizes.
- There is a steep-ish path from the house down to the lake, so be mindful of that if a member of your party has mobility issues. There is a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor (I am not sure if shower is accessible) and the screened-in porch is accessible on the first floor.

This year was our second stay here and already booked a third.
A peaceful retreat in nature, this property is well maintained and well managed. The environment is perfect for some quiet time with friends and family.
And the loons, what a bonus, what magic!
Kayaks give you instant connection with the lake any time of day. Swimming is great.
A real escape in the woods, but with conveniences.
We had a few small issues on arrival but the property manager responded instantly and all was resolved quickly.
The location is ideal for a week of solitude or eating out and adventuring. Or both!
I highly recommend this property for a lovely time in the lakes district of NH.

Big enough space so everyone has their own sleeping area. Kitchen and eating area very suitable for our size of group. Outdoor space tranquil plenty sign of wildlife. Ice fishing on the pond was a success. Neighbors and folks out on the ice were very friendly. Good location to many stores and all the lakes region attractions. Great time had by all.
Host was very communicative prior and during our stay.

We loved our stay on Wakondah Pond! The house was very comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. The private setting could not be more perfect…beautiful view from the house, tranquil pond perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, bird watching, etc. We felt like we had the entire pond to ourselves. Bonus: great nearby hikes, the bigger lakes just down the road for water sports, etc
The owner was great…easily reachable and super responsive. We can’t wait to come back!

House is laid out well and stocked with all necessities. Very quiet property besides the surrounding wildlife. The kids all loved swimming in the pond. The water is very clear and not very weedy especially for the time of year. Host is also very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

The property and the house were wonderful. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable. Shanna was quick to respond at any time. We loved taking the kayaks out and paddling around the lake to see the five Loons. The floating dock was great for swimming and fishing. At night we had a campfire and had S’mores . Thank you, Shanna! We hope to be back!

We spent an ideal week at Wakondah Pond with our two sons (8 and 11). The house roomy and had that relaxed lake house vibe we love. The waterfront access was amazing and we spent many hours on sandy beach, the swim raft and the three kayaks that were provided. The lake does not allow motorized vessels which made it so peaceful (and safe!). The only sounds at night were loons and waves lapping on the shore. Although it felt like we were 100 miles away from civilization at the house, it was really convenient to key shopping.
The kitchen was well stocked, the internet fast and there was AC in the bedrooms (it was HOT there for a couple of days). Our only complaint was that the washer and dryer was not available to guests. We knew that going in but our children get quite filthy.
Would love to come back next year. Shanna was an attentive but not intrusive host.

Beautiful spot and Wonderful host
Our family of grown kids, spouses, and grandson had a lovely and relaxing time here. We used their kayaks to explore the peaceful lake. LOONS!!!!! Had a campfire down by the water and a wedding renewal on the deck! The host was VERY accommodating. We asked if there was a crib and highchair and she ordered it in time for our stay. Great prompt communication with the host. Thanks for a super vacation.

We can't say enough. Everything was well stocked. We had a wonderful time kayaking. The area is beautiful for a summer retreat. Questions were answered quickly.
Some tips:
If you are planning to rent a boat for lake Winnipesaukee look around a 30 minute drive may save you $$. We found our favorite ice cream / dinner place along the way.
Most tourists places are closed Tuesday and Wednesday so plan around that with some hiking.
