About this house rental
Our custom Spanish mission-style home is perfect for your next to visit to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
After a long winter day on the mountain cozy up next to the wood-burning fireplace in the living room while the kids can head up to their loft for fun and games with their own fireplace, too. The living room has windows that overlook both the handmade wrought iron courtyard gates, front patio and beautiful mountains.
The living room TV is equipped with Sonos surround sound for movie nights. All three TV's are equipped with Roku TV streaming services including Hulu, Disney+, and Peacock.
Located off the living room is the kitchen on one side and a beautiful dining room on another. The kitchen has a breakfast bar that seats 3 easily, granite counter tops, cherry wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. This fully stocked kitchen offers all of the comforts of home.
Located on the main floor is the master suite with one king sized bed and a large flat screen TV. The suite includes a private bathroom with a custom shower and jacuzzi tub.
After a day of skiing, hiking or exploring, soak your tired muscles in the hot tub located outside the master suite in a private section of the courtyard.
The main level of the home also offers an additional bedroom with a queen size bed, bathroom and a laundry room.
Taking the staircase, made from beautiful salvaged church pews, to the upper level of the main part of the home you will find three more bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms share a full size bathroom with one queen bed in one room and a king size bed in the other room. The third bedroom has a king bed and a private full bathroom. Looking out from one of the upstairs bedroom windows you will be able to see Monte Verde Lake and Eagle Nest Lake.
Located off of the laundry room and up the stairs is the loft with additional sleeping. This room is a kid or teen paradise. We have four queen beds, a table and 4 chairs for games or putting together puzzles, a large TV, XBox One and Foosball table.
Speaking of kids, we have a basketball goal so they can get in a rowdy game of hoops on the driveway, as well.
The back of the house hosts a large patio area with a beautiful view up the side of the mountain. The large pine trees are a perfect backdrop to the aspen and wildflowers.
We can't wait to see who will be making memories in the home we are working so hard to make the ultimate mountain getaway!

The house had beds aplenty for our group, great patios, and a nice big communal space when we all wanted to be together. Th hot tub was nice to have, and there was no shortage of towels, which was an amazing perk. I liked that it was close to Monte Verde Lake, which was a really fun way to spend the day playing in the water and renting boats. A few minor complaints-not enough light, the dining table chairs were too cumbersome to be functional for our group, and the house wasn't as clean as we are used to with VRBO's. Had to get in touch with the local host and she was super responsive to our needs/requests, so that was great to have. We felt comfortable there and enjoyed our stay.

The house was extremely comfortable and spacious for our group of 10 (4 adults and 6 teenage boys). Everyone had their own space to relax and hang. Beds were comfortable, and amenities plentiful. The garage was handy in keeping our cars free from snowfall and warm. Location was not far from the slopes for multiple trips back and forth. Easy peasy! Overall, this was a very pleasant experience in Angel Fire! Thanks!!!

This property was perfect for our group! 9 adults, 9 kids.
Access to the garage was certainly nice and the hot tub was a huge plus. Ample sleeping space and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. House was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely stay her again.

towels were mildewed, kitchen utensils were not cleaned, recliner left arm was broken, a few of the bathrooms were not clean. other than that a beautiful cabin, good location. we had a great time and would recommend to others. we would re-book in the future.

The property was great. We cooked most meals and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pans, utensils, dishes and extras we needed. The beds in the loft were a bit hard but overall everyone had a good and restful time. The weather was amazing and we used the fire pit most evenings. I would recommend this property.

Our family stayed 3 nights and overall we enjoyed it. Hot tub was nice, snowy weather was beautiful. Take an AWD or a 4WD in snow or you'll never ever make it up there. A few issues: water heater didn't keep up with demand, firewood was buried under 2ft of snow, upstairs bathtub faucet didn't work, ran out of toilet paper, kitchen faucet vey loose, oven thermostat inaccurate, chandeliers need cleaned, bedspreads need cleaned.

15 people ages 10 months-84. Our last family trip before our son goes into the Army. We had so much fun. Skiing was great, SO much snow. Property is as advertised. We had no issues. Highly recommend this home. You will definitely need a 4-wheel drive in winter/early spring.

This was advertised as a 5 star rating on internet and I can only rate this a 3 star because of the overall cleanliness for example bed sheets and pillows sheets not washed floors where dirty and need some plumbing work in bathrooms

This house was so perfect for our group. We had 6 couples and all fit perfectly. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms that fit all of our needs. The house was well stocked and felt very clean! We used the hot tub every night we were there as well. Thank you for letting us use your home!

Overall it was a good house for the 8 adults and 5 kids. The bunk room was perfect for the little kids, tucked away over the garage. It was awesome to see all of the deer, chipmunks and elk hanging around. My grandson even fed one of the deer from his hand.
Like someone else mentioned, the house has potential but needs a lot of love. Only complaints were:
The house / windows could use a thorough cleaning.
The "master" and other downstairs bedroom have NO closet. The outside areas are good but there is a definite lack of furniture, so you might bring some extra chairs along!
This was the first time with VRBO that a local property manager didn't meet us there to go through the house. We were given the garage code, which was fine, but when we went into the house itself, the security alarm went off and we had no code. My only communication had been with the owner via email. I emailed him immediately to call me, but NEVER heard back from him. A local fireman or someone heard the alarm and came by to get it disengaged luckily. After we got in the house there was a book with the local contact, but it was fixed by the time we saw that.
I gave it 4 stars because overall we had a great time.

In general the property was good but with some TLC it could be excellent. Some windows wouldn’t stay open which is the only way to cool the house. The upstairs tub fixture leaked and the tub was dirty/stained. One of the drape bars fell in upstairs queen room. The grill was filthy when we went to cook on it the first evening and there was no propane. General grounds maintenance and more outdoor furniture for the front patio area would make this place really special.

The pictures are exactly what you see when you arrive. It was a home for our vacation! Country club nearby for golfing and indoor pool and playground. Little town nearby has pizza shop, coffee place and a well stocked grocery store. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

This beautiful home and it's remarkable location made for a magical visit for grandchildren who had never seen snow or ever been skiing. And seeing deer, elk, and wild turkey just added to the magic.
