Beautiful, old house close to beach and close to rail trail with well-equipped kitchen, outside grill, outside eating area, and outdoor shower. Wonderful spot for family vacation!

Charming old house loved by my family. Outside space is excellent. Patio is our favorite space to linger. Family room large and cozy. Beds made and house clean. Well stocked kitchen. Steps to our favorite beach! Once again we enjoyed an amazing week at Cape Landing!

We liked the spacious layout of the rooms to accommodate three generations. As the grandparents, we were happy to have the ground floor master bedroom and bathroom, which was also available to the other guests with a separate door for the toilet. Upstairs was our daughter and family. Good AC units throughout the house and plenty of windows kept everyone comfortable. The stairs to the second floor were challenging for our 3 year old grandson, so an adult was needed for the journey. Location was ideal for our needs. The Brewster mudflats at low tide are exceptional, a 3 minute walk from the house.

We’ve been staying at Linger Longer for 35 years and this property is right get across the street and has great views and lots of space for us to share with another family. Hope to come back soon.

The house dates back to 1750 and there is a short but informative historical note about it. However, the kitchen and two bathrooms are modern. Everything is provided for in the kitchen - from lobster utensils and a large lobster pot, to corn plates, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, brand new fridge/freeze, superb stove top with four powerful gas burners, a great oven, lovely kitchen table. The dining room is inviting and the living room comfortable and filled with books. WiFi works impeccably; front door with Schlage lock is easy to open and close (with a code) and everything is really wonderful. The multiple bedrooms are laid out well for people sharing the house. Vacasa sees to it that sheets and towels are impeccably fresh and clean. The house is near all sorts of cafes and restaurants and sites. Highly recommended - would go back in a flash.

We love the whole experience
The home is close to the water, sunsets were great, the outside table under the roof was great, the home is extremely well equipped.
The only negative was the stairways to the second floor. The step are high. We had no problem
Will recommend to Freinds
Thanks

The location is perfect! If your criteria is walkable to beach, this is the home. It’s a bit dated but we didn’t expect to stay in much. Property management team is very responsive. We had issues with the fridge coming up to temperature due to the hot kitchen.. they need an AC unit in the kitchen to cool it off on a hot day. The beds are not comfortable at all. Otherwise this was a perfect location that’s close to the beach. The family enjoyed it.

…is a short walk from this lovely home. We have been coming here for over 35 years, but this was the first time in this cottage. We have already signed on for next year!
Well -stocked kitchen, spacious living area, extensive yard and comfortable beds. What more could anyone ask for?

Loved this old house. Have walked by it for years and finally got to experience its charm. My family loved our experience. Had everything we needed. Steps to our favorite beach. Bedroom AC units and standup AC unit in living room did a good job however something is needed to cool down the hot kitchen.

First family vacation including grandchild.
Site 'Pros':
- location, location, location...quiet road and neighborhood...beach traffic minimal (just residents) due to time of year; beach literally a 2 minute walk
- house spacious; kicthen, family room or outside patio perfect for adults while grandchild slept uninterupted upstairs.
- house very quiet, even during heavy rains and winds.
'Cons':
- House not cleaned well. A lot of spider webs in kitchen and bedroom windows. It is an older home, so an exterminator should be brought in a couple of times more during the year; found too many other external insects crawling around.
- fire places could not be used but smoke 'residue' odor very prominent in family room and office area (former living room).
- kitchen chair pads were coverred in animal hair (dog or cat).
Biggest complaint is poor communication with management company, Vacasa. Access code did not work and needed assistance to get a new code. Access to emergency house key did not work and was told by Vacasa that someone locally would be contacting us but never received such a call. Pointed out the issues with the kitchen chair pads but informed them we would handle it. Instead, they sent a cleaning crew two days later in the morning without notifying us or informing the cleaaning crew what to clean (their email said just "clrean chairs" with no other information. We shared with them that we did not need the special service.

With the exception of the three hours it took us to get a code for the door (several phone calls, text messages, two in-person on phone and finally 15 min with a lovely gal who got us in) we had a wonderful time. Beach was soooo close.

Loved the location - quick, easy walk to Linnell Landing Beach. House is great and pretty well laid-out - one bedroom and bathroom downstairs, three bedrooms and a second bathroom upstairs. Stairs are pretty steep, as is typical with old Cape houses. We loved the outdoor space as well, including the covered area. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was everyone's favorite room. We would stay here again!

Property was great. Well equipped and very clean. Very short walk to the beach. Our family had a great vacation!!
Realizing it was a very HOT week a A/C unit in the living room would have been nice

The house was beautiful, well-stocked and very clean. The close- to-the-beach location was great and fun in both high tide and low. And the ice cream place is just on the corner.

A warm, welcoming home with all the comforts, including all the kitchen accessories you’ll ever need. Carefully set up by Vacasa. Wonderful library of books. And so close the beach! Just remember, it’s an old historic home so there are uneven floors and very steep stairs to the 2nd floor.

Very clean when we arrived. Well equipped kitchen...if the property owner of the land between house and bay would trim just a branch or two, there would be a stunning view of the bay from the kitchen, living room, porch and patio..the house is perfect! True to the description and photos!

A perfect family getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this home. The easy walk to the beach, the layout of the home and the accessibility of our Turnkey agent made this a vacation to remember.

Charming house by the sea
The house was really large and there was a great outdoor space. My only complaint is that the living room and kitchen weren't air conditioned and the drains were slow. It is a lovely place to relax close to the water. I would return in the future...
