This was a great stay for all of us. There were 10 people all together from 3 different states. The owner had pre cooled the home which was fantastic as it was very hot and muggy. Location was close to public transportation and parking was good.

The pictures of the updates are old !!! The outside of the house is raggedy. Steps are old and rugged. House smells like mold and mildew upon entry. It’s a/c units in a few windows. No central system. Upstairs master room was so hot. The ac made the breaker turn off. She didn’t turn it on til the next morning after she told me she was otw ( I have the text messages and pictures ) so we were hot all afternoon and the night in the room unless we went outside. Upstairs stays hot period. Bad walls covered up with taped dry wall !!! Ac in master room has mold in it. ( pictures as well ) TVs are so small it’s ridiculous. Master shower had hair and soap scum in it. The jet tub had dead skin in the kegs and edges also ( have pictures of this too ) omg, the vanity chair had so much hair it looked as if someone just combed out their hair ) I sent her pictures of all these things and she did nothing about it. The extra long table in the kitchen ( had a runner on it ) had hair on that as well. Hair was around the toilets and tubs in the other bathroom. And in the master drain also. Stains on the towels so bad I had to order from Walmart. It was washed but didn’t come out …..So heat and hair is what we paid for this trip coming all the way from NC. Be careful on the porch. It’s the oldest wood you’ll ever see on the left edge smh. Ants stayed in a line behind the kitchen sink also. Location is ok. Decent area but it’s a reason she doesn’t post the outside pictures smh. I wish I could

This is a well maintained property that is in a central location for navigating DC. The host is phenomenal and provided detailed instructions. My family traveled to the area for my daughter’s graduation ceremony. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of space for us to spread out and not feel crowded.

Had a great stay. Tons of room for six of us. Plenty of space for games, gathering, and meals. Had all the supplies needed in the kitchen. Great location made it easy to choose the most convenient transportation including metro, bus, or ride sharing. Quiet street with nice front porch.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The host was responsive and very helpful. The location is within 10-15 minutes of the Red line metro stop. There are buses that will take you to the metro if needed, but since we were going to be walking many miles each day visiting the Mall and monuments, etc. it was not a bother. The house was clean and well furnished with plenty of room for everyone to relax after a long day of walking and seeing the sights. Two of the bedrooms have bathrooms in them and there is another full bath for the other two rooms to share and a half bath. We would definitely rate this high on our list of places to stay again if it’s available the next time we visit D.C.

We had a wonderful visit at the large house in Eckington with our large family who gathered to greet our new family member. Trina met us there soon after our start, and was very responsive during our stay. Location was perfect for us as it was only a few short blocks to our son's house, walking distance to metro (about 10 min walk). Parking was great in the back of the house, and we used it and could fit 2 cars when needed. The house is large unique and had ample room for 10 of us. Great common areas, and bedrooms were large. It was a very hot week and the window air conditioners all worked and were adequate, but some had direct cold air onto the beds, which made for either very cold or quite warm sleeping. The only problem we had was some leaking from the plumbing. The bathroom in the upstairs hall had the faucet in the tub/shower coming out of the wall, and when using the shower it leaked into the dining area below. Trina was very responsive, but couldn't get a plumber to look at it while we were there, and so we had to be without one of the showers for half of the stay. There was also a huge storm one night with some leaking from the roof, but it was managed with a bowl, and did not leak any other time. Kitchen very well stocked for our large family, all appliances worked well. House was very clean and ready for us on arrival, and Trina was so nice to accommodate and early arrival and late departure for us. Would definitely highly recommend this house for future visits.

We had a great stay, it was myself and my husband plus our 3 kids (12,12,14) and it was a perfect place to stay. Everyone had their own beds and rooms, the neighborhood was quiet, we made friends with the awesome employees at the Union Market and it was a simple 10 minute walk to the metro. Highly recommend if your staying in DC with your family and you plan on exploring.
