Not long after you turn onto the private road (one-lane-only so descending/exiting vehicles should yield to incoming/ascending vehicles and back up until there is space to pass) that winds through the 14+ acre retreat called Haven of Hope, you will see Serenity Escape Treehouse on your right. You have a private driveway and parking area. 2 cars max. A smaller car can park directly underneath the treehouse. Don't block the main private road, because continuing on the private road, you will pass two walking trails - Rippling Brook Walking Trail on left and Lost and Found Walking Trail on right. You will then see Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse on your left (also available - sleeps 6), and Happy Glamper RV (also available - sleeps 2) and the homeowner's cabin is located at the end of the private road at the top of the mountain.
Beside the parking area, there are stairs leading up to the Treehouse entrance from parking. When you enter the Treehouse, you will know your peaceful retreat has begun as you are surrounded by that familiar knotty pine wood on each wall. From every window on each of the two stories, you will see refreshing views through a canopy of trees.
The primary bedroom on the main floor boasts beautiful window views and a thermostat-controlled electric fireplace, and there is a small Roku TV in the corner. There are 2 chairs in the room that may be added to the dining space when there are 6 guests. Directly next to the living room area is the dining area. There is comfortable seating for up to six (2 additional chairs are kept in the primary bedroom). The bench at the farm table has additional storage as the top can be lifted.
From the dining area, look out through the glass-paned double doors to the covered balcony area. There is a gas grill for your grilling needs, and BBQ tools are kept in a kitchen drawer. The treehouse was beautiful! We enjoyed our stay and it was so peaceful! We look forward to staying again!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Misti and David's tree house. Our family feels like we have become a part of the Wells family. As always the treehouse was clean, comfortable, relaxing and had everything that we needed. The location is perfect, close to restraunts, attractions like Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon N.P., both of which you can hike, swim, and capture amazing photos for those precious memories. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the welcome basket filled with coffee, snacks and the beautiful handcrafted goat milk soap! Overall, it has become our "home away from home." Thank you for making our vacation restful, grounding and specia l!!

We had a great stay at this little cabin/ treehouse. It had great proximity to the hiking we came to do at DeSoto State Park, and was the perfect place to land at the end of each evening. All the thoughtful touches around amenities were so nice. The house had just enough room to spread out without being disconnected. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, and took advantage of some of the games in the living room. Easy communication with the booking manager, and no issues with the unit itself.

We booked our stay last minute because we were in need of a get away. From the initial booking, communication was established and the information provided to us made us more excited to go. The location was tucked in the woods and even though there was another cabin like ours near, it was super quiet and cozy! Very clean, loved the snacks and coffee that was provided, and overall felt at home. Truly wish we could stay a whole week vs a short weekend!! We are DEFINITELY planning on coming back!!

We stay a weekend every month. The cabin is awesome, furnished well, just bring your friends, food and personal items.
The firepit out back is a great place to unwind in the evening. The sounds of the birds throughout the day, very relaxing.
I would recommend for EVERYONE to stay as often as possible.

This was not just a family vacation this time around- our visit had many levels. Visit the grandchildren, had our dogs with us, house remodel for our kids, thanksgiving and prep for new baby. The grandkids had a blast and absolutely loved the “treehouse” their words was best place ever. My dogs were comfortable and able to relax and enjoy the nature trails. Hubby slept great with the firm mattress and with all the extras misty supplies I was able to meal prep 2 weeks worth of food for when our newest grand baby arrives.! All this while having enough space for everyone to enjoy nightly dinners.! Washer, dryer, dishwasher, fireplace and anything kitchen you might need to include I forgot parchment paper and there it was in the bottom drawer.! love love love this place

We fell in love with this place the moment we got in! It was so beautiful and comfortable and everything we wanted and more! The sweet little touches that were there the homemade soap, the amazing coffee, the free breakfast or lunch at the Hatter café were all amazing! We are actually going back this weekend and we are so excited to stay 4 nights instead of two and we're bringing our kids this time. This is an amazing getaway for some alone time and also an amazing place to bring your family. We did not want to leave if we could've stayed a couple of extra nights last weekend, we definitely would have. But that's OK because we're coming back this weekend. This is exactly what my husband and I needed and now we need it as a family. It's nestled in the most amazing beautiful spot and it's close to anything you need you don't have to go farther than 30 minutes to find a grocery store, amazing places to eat and amazing sightseeing parks and trails.

Serenity Escapes was a breath of fresh air. It was a clean home with all the necessities one would need. The little extras were an A+! My husband is the coffee drinker and I’ve given up coffee for tea. Thanks for having an assortment of teas to drink. I certainly enjoyed them.
My grands enjoyed the walking paths and swings. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. Hospitality is not dead. This place is so clean and it had everything we needed. We stayed for 4 nights and we took our dog, Remi, with us. We hiked and swam in Desoto Falls, we hiked Little River Canyon and swam in Hippie Hole, we saw Ruby Falls and Rock City in Chattanooga, and we even captured fireflies on the beautiful property. Even a rainy day was made better at this place. Misti is a great and attentive hostess. We are so grateful we found this place and we will be back.

We enjoyed our stay (booked last minute), easy communication with Misty and got the questions answered within minutes. Very quick response!
The drive to the tree-house was easy to find and it was really quiet. The house does shake a little if someone walked up/down the stairs, and if you are not used to it it could bother you maybe. But we were fine :)
The porch is unfortunately way too small. Wished it would have been bigger. It's full with the 2 chairs and the grill :/
the trails on the property are very short; maybe 30 ft and 100ft, just for a short morning stroll… But: close by to great parks and nature!
The ice-cream place nearby is fabulous and you a Dollar General is also close by for basics. Walmart and another grocery store are in Fort Payne, 15 minutes away.
We had a very nice Lunch at the Hatters Cafe! Thank you Misty

My husband and I stayed at the Serenity Escape for a much needed weekend getaway. It was all we could have ever hoped for! I loved that our fur child, Lucy, could tag along for the fun! The cabin was well stocked with everything you could ever need and things that a lot of times I don’t think to bring along that I end up needing! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Gobena coffee that was so kindly provided for us, I will be ordering some for myself at home! It was a cold weekend so we enjoyed using the fire pit and making s’mores too. The owners were so kind and I loved the personal connections before, during, and after our stay. It really makes a difference that they are so attentive and check in with you to make sure you are enjoying your stay. This was a lovely home away from home vacation experience and we can’t wait to come back!

From the house name, I knew this was the place for us. We enjoyed a long weekend with our teenage son and adult children/spouses. This place was perfect to keep us “together” and interacting with each other. Misti was a fabulous host from the moment the reservation was made.
