Well appointed. Clean. Lots of room. Comfortable bed.
4.8
The house inside was nice and clean. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. They had lots of movies and games. The yard was not super amazing and I wouldn’t call it an orchard. More of a house with 3 apple trees in a neighborhood. But Steelhead beach was only 5 minutes away and Bodega Bay was only 40 minutes so it was a great location for what we wanted to see. Check in and out was easy.

This unit far exceeded my expectations. It was spotless, everything was new, all worked as it should. The instructions were thorough. We used the front and back decks for meals outside. The yard was huge and the location is private and quiet. I didn't want to leave but am looking forward to booking the unit on our next visit. A very very nice stay!!

Very charming, clean, yard was large to do outdoor activities while staying.. family friendly..

This dog friendly rental was extremely comfortable and convenient due to good floor plan and furniture. Close to everywhere we wanted to go. I think it would be very difficult to find a better place in this price range. The apple trees are in bloom and the birds sing all day even if it rains. Be sure to follow the entrance directions or you’ll end up on a one-way road on the side of the mountain in the forest.
We are seniors and had trouble figuring out how Vacasa works when booked through VRBO. You must check-out, you are billed by Vacasa. We didn’t know if we were supposed to put out the garbage (no) or take off the sheets (yes) until we received a text, I couldn’t find it on their website.

The house was wonderful, bigger than it looked on the pictures, really loved the neighborhood, super close to Santa Rosa but it felt far away. Biggest surprise was how amazing the mattresses are on the bunk beds.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was convenient to restaurants and hiking. It was cozy and clean.

We booked this stay after Christmas with the hopes of enjoying some wineries and hikes, but we were totally rained in! This house was very comfortable if you had to be stuck though :) The only thing we were surprised about was the tiny one lane roads that lead up to the house - but luckily we didn't run into any other cars and made it safely. All in all, it was a great (very rainy!) stay.

Wonderful home in the hills of forestville. within driving distance to all the beauty sonoma county has to offer. Would highly recommend!

I stayed here with my family over the weekend and we really liked the place. However, there were no instructions about the heating anywhere. When we checked in in the evening, the house was super cold and when we tried to switch on the space heaters, the plugs in the living room weren't working. Calling guest services to get help was also not an option because there was no service in the area. It took a while until we figured out the heating situation and the house warmed up. Since there are multiple rooms and limited space heaters it would have been nice if there was a more centralized heating system. Even a few more stronger space heaters (one per room) would help.
Besides this, the property was really nice and a cozy getaway for some family time.

this was a very, very nice house. clean Comfortable, great kitchen, bedrooms and decks. the disappointment was it has a wood burning stove which we looked forward to using. however when we arrived there was a sign on it, ' important not for guest use'..
disappointing. no closets or dressers but otherwise a lovely house.

Not far from main road but quiet and woodsy feel. Apple tree was full of deep red fruit so I made apple sauce and baked apples so it didn’t go to waste. Still plenty on the tree. Loud chirping of crickets was sensational at night. Private second floor deck nice for dining, reading relaxing. Nice home, good layout. We played autumn fireplaces on youtube for ambiance, almost as good as the real thing (their fireplace not for guest use even though it features prominently in the photos..bit of a bait and switch). Definitely two bedroom if you’re wondering (barn door style for second room). Bathroom open onto deck if you like to be one with nature when nature calls!

Love the beautiful neighborhood. Rough road, but nice scenery

Very comfortable and nice. Loved the insect sounds and stars at night and the birds and deer in the mornings. I only stayed 2 nights but would definitely return and stay several more.

Very comfortable home for our family (4 adults and a 1 year old). Recent total renovation of an original "river house". Super comfortable beds and quality linens. Well stocked kitchen made it easy to entertain. Great outdoor BBQ on the enclosed back deck. Close to Mother's Beach and Speers Market for a quick shopping trip. Very quiet neighborhood made for a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

When we got off the highway on a dirt road which leads to the house we were wondering what have we done. That we are very surprised. I have an updated clean, comfortable house. The house is out in the country and you can hear the birds saying all day long. It’s not far from Forestville or from Guerneville, so location is excellent.
4.8
the house itself is nice, good amount of AC and fans (as it was very hot when we were there). 5 min drive to the beach, cant walk there as it is a very busy road. One bedroom is not soundproof, which was a problem. Big issue was communications- very hard to reach Vacasa, had trouble getting my questions answered. And after we left have been trying to reach them and have not been able to.

We loved our stay at this home. It felt like we were staying somewhere people actually lived. So homey and comfort table. Great linens, thoughtful touches, and a fully stocked kitchen made for a convenient and cozy comfort table stay. Wish we could have used the wood stove but it wasn’t the end of the world since they had amazing HVAC systems.

We stayed here with our 2 children (baby and toddler) and loved it. Our toddler loved the toy room and yard. It’s close enough to Guerneville and the town of Forestville, also close to Sebastopol. We had everything we needed during our stay and are already thinking about when we can come back to stay again!

This updated rural cottage is moments from hiking and canoeing entrances to the Russian River. It is a quiet and “dark sky” place to, as the sign says “ relax and unwind”. Spotty GPS and dirt roads to the place attest to its quiet ambience.
The beds are extremely comfortable, the appliances and Kitchen cookware are great for a weekend or a week or more of cooking. We brought our own coffee which worked out on the first morning as foodstuffs such as coffee and other condiments needed for the initial morning that we have found in other rentals were not available but then a 12 cup coffee pot rather than a Keurig was much appreciated.
Cabin itself was comfortable. The bathroom was roomy with warm water. A closet and/or place to hang clothes would be an important addition … a few shelving units available but filled with bedding and no hooks or clothes rods available in the sleeping quarters.
A book which contained the instructions for checking in and out, when garbage pickup was, internet instructions and nearby takeout and delivery options would be helpful although an app with nearby attractions was sent at check out and I suspect will be available on checkin in the future.
Check in and checkout process simple and response to issues in the place were rapid and satisfying.
Definitely a place to chill out and because of its distance from town the ability to grill out useful. The apples falling onto the deck several times a day took some getting used to … lol.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and comfortable. A couple of suggestions: you could use a new non stick skillet for preparing eggs. The bath towels:we were provided only 4 which was inadequate and the towels themselves need replacing. I was surprised that our cell phones (ATT) had no service at this location and that there was not cable TV. The bunk beds make a ton of noise which made it impossible to rest well (my 17yr old slept on the living couch instead-not ideal). I suggest swapping those out for something that is quiet. Thanks for a nice stay!

Updated. Dog and kid friendly. Big yard. Close to everything. Highly recommend this house!

Large, comfy, all amenities wonderful.
We checked in early without an extra fee which was a blessing. The home was larger than it appeared on the website. Everything was spotless all utensils and cookware were wonderful quality. The location was perfect for our needs during the stay. I will go ahead and reserve already for next year!

This house exceeded our expectations. It is newly and tastefully remodeled and furnished. We enjoyed the sunny back patio and quiet, verdant surroundings. Though it is listed as a 1 bedroom it has two extra sleeping areas, ample for our family of 3 and dog. Close to Guerneville, Russian River and Armstrong Redwoods State Forest.

Our family stayed for a week and found this home to be clean, and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings new. The private decks and yard seem like they would be amazing in the warmer months! The location is great for accessing the coast, the river and other areas of Sonoma County. Note that the house is located on a dirt road, which is a little challenging to find if you arrive after dark as we did. The heating was inconsistent throughout the house but we figured out how to work with the system so we were comfortable. And there are plenty of cozy blankets. The bathroom towels and pans could be replaced as both are showing signs of wear. The appliances, dishes and glasses were in almost new condition. The home has a washer and dryer so we could do laundry instead of bringing it all home. A great stay overall!

We had 3 generations traveling and 2 dogs. This location was tricky to find at night (one lane, very sketchy road conditions), but the cabin was perfect for us. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishware and utensils, the entire place was very clean, and the furnishings and decor were both comfortable and attractive. We had hoped to use the wood burning stove, but that is not for guests. Wifi and television worked very well, as did the room heaters. Private laundry onsite was very useful. No disposal. Plenty of hot water. Propane BBQ was very handy and super clean, full tank of propane. Would highly recommend this place for a cabin-y feel and a unique getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and looked newly remodeled. There was plenty of stuff in the kitchen to be able to cook. My only complaint is that the house was very cold. Under the trees the house doesn't get much direct sunlight so it stayed cold inside despite it being warm outside. We couldn't see any way to heat the house and guests aren't allowed to use the wood stove which was disappointing. I wouldn't want to stay here in the winter.

Exceeded expectations. Loved quiet evenings on the back porch. Great open space feel inside. Gonna steal that fence design.

Nice 2 bedroom place located close to Russian River and to nearby vineyards. Lovely deck with large table out at the back and ideal to sit out during the day and have a meal. Bedrooms are reasonably comfortable, though there is only one bathroom. Access to the place is via a narrow road (about 3 minutes on it) and so you hope you dont encounter another car coming in the opposite direction. Good Wifi, no cell coverage (but that entire area does not have coverage).

The house was really cute and clean. The description calls this property 1 bedroom. We could tell from the photos that there was a bonus room with 2 sets of bunk beds. This was a super cute little space for kids. We were surprised to find a second bedroom! Both rooms got a lot of light and fresh air. The shared living space (open kitchen and living room areas) was comfortable and got plenty of natural light. I grew up spending my summers in Rio Nido, and it was lovely to be back in the area. A short drive to the river and all of the fun that the water provides!
