The pictures online look more modern and well kept than it actually was. But it was fine...we were just a little surprised. The actual location was further into the woods than we anticipated. If it had been snowy, we may have been in trouble. as I don't recall any encouragement to have chains or a vehicle that could handle it. One of the large beds upstairs was interesting. 1/2 of it was totally sunken in and the other 1/2 was normal. Good thing we had not planned for a couple to stay in that bed or we would have had to figure something else out. The hot water situation was also challenging as we had booked for *9* people who would need to be showering as we were there for a wedding. The bottom shower got very hot, but as you used the shower on the main floor, the hot water ran out very quickly. Not sure how that could be remedied. It would've been kind of nice if there had been some simple type cards or games to enjoy during down times.(I realize we could've brought our own) We've stayed in others where there were some games and it was nice. One very neat thing, is that there was a collapsible wagon there that we could load vehicle items to bring in. The driveway is very steep and something that would be helpful is if more land was cleared behind and around the back. As you drive up to the top, instead of having to back out, you could just continue on around the property to exit on the other side of the cabin. Overall, it was very nice and accommodating.

The property is in a quiet neighborhood. We saw wild horses and deer roam around, which was amazing! All the essentials were present in the rental home. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of 5.The door lock with key pad was a bit tricky to open. The couch and cushions need a proper cleaning, so do the spiral stairs. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation at the Blue Mountain Hideaway very much.
