My 3 friends and I took a road trip to Maine from Virginia. This house was the perfect location for Acadia National Park and Bar Harbour. The house was clean and enough room for all of us. It was great.

This property was clean, charming and in a great location with easy access to the carriage trail in Acadia. The house was well stocked with all that was needed and the host was easy to communicate with.

We had such a great time at Edie’s place! So much room for all of us. So homey and lovely. What a great place!

Perfect location - quiet, friendly and close to hiking and biking. Good nearby restaurant and great bike rental/store - but not crowded like Bar Harbor. Edie was very flexible with us and super-fast to answer questions and give great suggestions. House was well-stocked. We are already planning our next visit!

The house was perfect for our stay. A great location for Acadia National Park, just minutes away. The home is older and we loved that! Communication with the owners was very quick whenever we had questions.

This is a very well kept old house, full of New England charm, well stocked, with very comfortable beds. It's super convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor without being in the middle of the hubbub. We had a lovely time!

We liked our stay at Edie's place. We were a large group of 8 and were easily accommodated in the house. The house is quiet and well equipped for a large group and is conveniently located from the National park and Bar Harbor. I would definitely recommend the place.

This home is quite comfortable with well equipped kitchen and many other amenities.
The host was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. The location is perfect for accessing the carriage roads and the many trails from Jordan Pond, as well as the popovers!

We were two families with young children and found the home to be a great fit for us. It was within walking distance to a beach great for exploring and wading and a coffee/ice cream shop. Also - it was a short trip to lots of hiking trails, scenic spots, and the horse carriage rides which we all enjoyed.
The house was very well stocked with towels, soap, and supplies you might not expect like a tablecloth for the picnic table on the deck, laundry basket, cooler bags, portable chairs, and family games.
Edith our host touched base throughout our stay to ensure things were going well. We would definitely stay there again!

The property was on the edge of Acadia where we hiked several trails and visited 3 different beaches and just totally enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine and scenic views. It was only a short walk down to Seal Harbor for the beach and swings for the granddaughters. And Bar Harbor was only 7 miles away for the walking town experience. The best of both worlds!!!!

Edie’s place was perfect for our family getaway! Great location - 15 minutes to Acadia hikes (Cadillac & Beehive) and easy stroll (.5 miles) to Seal Harbor beach. Restaurants of Bar Harbor are a short drive which makes this rental a great choice.
The house it self is huge and well stocked with everything you need for a group trip. Great value for the stay!

The home is perfect for visiting Acadia National Park. It has plenty of room for the family. The location to the park is great. The area is quiet and has a diner and coffee shop a short walk away. You could also walk to the pick up for the Island explorer if needed. We would definitely stay again.

This house was perfect for our family of 7. Well stocked, very clean, and communication with our host was fantastic!
Would stay here again if back in the area again.

Traveling with a group of cyclists and this house was just perfect. Just outside the park and not too far from Bar Harbor. Host was great and the garage with sofas was a sweet place to land after a day riding the park and Cadillac Mtn.

We stayed here for five nights with my parents and our three children. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was comfortable and quiet. We cooked almost every night and the kitchen was well appointed. We enjoyed having dinners out on the back patio and walking to the beach. It was the perfect spot and we’d love to come back.

The house was clean, spacious, and in a beautiful location. The beach and village green are a quick walk away, and Bar Harbor and restaurantsj a 15 minute drive. Clean linens and plenty of towels and hot water. I look forward to coming back with my family this summer!

What a unique place! The house was spacious, clean and very close to the Seal Harbor beach, a quiet and serene alternative to Bar Harbor. Beautiful scenery all around. Edie was quick to respond to our questions. We had everything we needed and would definitely stay again!

Our family enjoyed staying here with the easy access to the park and away from the bar harbor crowds. The owner was always just a quick text away. Kitchen was stocked with kitchen staples (olive oil, salt, pepper, etc) making cooking easier. Hope to return some day!

We had a lovely time at this quaint and spacious home. The owner was incredibly responsive and even went the extra mile and located a pack and play for us to use during our stay. This charming house has lots of character, ample space and is in the perfect location. It backs up to the beautiful forest and is just minutes away from Jordan Pond, Seal Harbor and the most idyllic botanical gardens. The owner also supplied basic supplies such as soap, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, kitchen supplies. She has a bunch of fun games that we played nightly with our kiddos and they explored her book shelves and spent some time reading. We actually ended up needing to return some of the groceries we bought because she had them on hand. We enjoyed our stay so much that the family even talked of getting our own home there. :) We truly had the best time and made memories that we will forever cherish with our family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seal Harbor! The location is perfect and easily accessible to the park, Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor.
The house is older and slightly dated but it was clean, and spacious for our group. We had success cooking in the kitchen and had enough cooking supplies. Edie does supply basic needs such as laundry detergent, and cooking oil which is helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are big.
Edie was wonderful to work with. She did tell us that she was order new coaches, and they might be delivered during our stay & they were.
We would stay here again.

The couches were very dirty and would not set on them . I understand it’s a old house but not fit for rental. Very disappointed.

The location was very good. The house smelled musty, and the shower curtains had either dirt or mold on the bottom. The couch cushions were very old and provided no support so when you set on them you sank in way too much; I guess we noticed this since on a rainy day we spent more time in the house.

Roomy older home on a quiet residential street in Seal Harbor away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Great location with quick access to Acadia and Jordan Pond from the south. Bike rental shop just down the street.
Comfortable beds with clean linens Clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water and clean towels. Spacious kitchen is a bit dated but totally functional. Great big dining room table. House is older with a few creaks, and some of the carpeting and upholstery is a bit tired.
Overall, a great stay at a good price for plenty of space in a great location.

It was all filthy and the back 2 bedrooms even had questionable bug parts on the floor and in the bed. My husband and I actually left and went to a hotel because it was so dirty. The front 2 bedrooms were somewhat clean and our friends stayed in those rooms. It was the WORST place I’ve ever checked in. I would never recommend it. In fact I would advise against anyone staying there. Horrible

In town for a wedding, my friends and I had a great time here. The patio faces the woods and was a nice place to sip coffee in the morning. Edith was very communicative. The whole thing was extremely easy and I'd recommend it to anyone looking in the area.

Perfect Place to Relax and Enjoy Acadia’s Magic
This house is in the PERFECT location to access most main attractions of Acadia. Our group included four elementary age children so being able to do a morning hike and come back to the house for lunch before setting out on an afternoon adventure was ideal. The house is well stocked with everything you might need and Edith is a delight to talk with. When staying here make sure you walk down to the Acadia Outdoor center for delicious ice cream, blueberry soda, and recommendations :) We had a wonderful week!

Carriage Roads right up the road
Bar Harbor is <2 miles from Acadia National Park, but we didn’t want to stay in Bar Harbor. It is nice to visit for shopping and restaurants, but it is congested and parking is challenging, mostly metered. The route entering the park is narrow, and we didn’t want to ride our bikes with traffic backing up behind us.

Family house the borders Acadia Park
This house was in a neighborhood that bordered Acadia Park and was convient to most places.

Lovely stay in Seal Harbour
We stayed 3 nights in early June and discovered Acadia National Park from this great location. About 15min to Bar Harbour (Baa Haa Ba), 2 min to the sea. Nice trail around long pond, about 5 min by car. The house is spacious and has everything you need. The porch is cute and has a full woods view. Good and quiet location to discover Mt Desert Island!

We loved our stay! Best VRBO experience yet!
Knowing Maine well, we know how rare it is to find a place like this to stay in on MDI. The house itself is clean, incredibly spacious and charming and...then there's the location!!! Right beside Acadia, walk to the beach, sit on the back deck and watch birds while sipping morning coffee. The host was prompt and thorough in answering questions and helping to make our stay a cozy, top-of-the-line experience. We will definitely be back!
