Things to Know
The community pool is open annually from the beginning of June to the end of August for guest use. Pool dates are weather permitting and at the Condo Association's discretion.
The Sanctuary HOA schedules structural upkeep during the off-season, blocking off certain sides of the buildings, making it unsafe for our guests to be on the balcony. The balcony may not be available for guests from October to mid-May.
This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

It was a good family vacation. We could just walk out of our condo to the beach in less than 5 minutes. We mostly cook at home, we didn’t need to buy any cookware or utensils. They had everything in the condo to accommodate our family. We had books available for reading, family board games, a good collection of DVD/blue-ray.

Beach pretty and well maintained by City of Virginia Beach. Mexican restaurant is outstanding.

The unit was nice and really served our needs. Would stay here again.

The property and unit need some updating. The beds are not comfortable and bring your own pillows. The ad is not clear. This unit does Not pay for cable or let you use their storage unit in the parking. They have kept the place clean so props for that. The Sanctuary property management needs to get the amenities up to par. The pool was not open at our building the entire week. No one even attempted to repair it. Our patio was not clean. For what it costs it does not seem worth it to us. The people at Vacasa are helpful and easy to work with.

From the pictures it pookas though it's a 3 bed room but it's only 2 .Also I thought it was more close to the Ocean front strip. If planning to Vaca at this location please have your own transportation. The location is far from any restaurants and stores and we weren't able to get a lift nor Uber and taxi companies said they do not service this area ..Other than the place was very comfortable and very nice for a quiet getaway!!

Place was nice beds not comfortable cable was not hooked up when I got there had to call multiple times unto the next day to get it fixed communication between staff was not good!!

The home is great and deserves 5 stars if someone paid attention to detail, but the Internet and TVs were disconnected or otherwise inoperable. The cable boxes were sitting on the counter, disconnected and each TV had disconnected cables laying on the floor. The Internet was more important to us because we only had 1 bar cell service. There was a plastic sheet on the master bed that was loud if you moved. I suggest you take the annoying plastic off. The pillows were worn out and flat. Other than these annoyances, the home was wonderful.

The place was clean and close to where we wanted to be. No view of the beach but easy to walk there.

The proximity to the beach was great. We didn’t have access to the amenities, but they looked awesome. The unit was spacious and light filled, and very quiet (but, it was the off-season). Kitchen could have been better stocked, and we had an issue with the lock, but overall a very nice, peaceful stay.

We had a very smooth check-in experience, and everything was clean and well organized. I only gave it 4 stars because there is always room to improve. The good things were that the unit was very clean, all furnishings were in good condition, the big kitchen was very clean with nice modern, working appliances and good lay-out. There was shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels, as well as laundry and dishwasher detergent. There were also enough trash bags for our 6-night stay.
Beach access is quick and easy. The was no noticeable extra noise, though we did stay off season.
It was good enough we hope to come again.
The things that would make it a 5-star...
More and better pillows, we had to take extras from the bunk room.
A good blender in the kitchen
The parking is really tight for a Ford F-150. (Not much the owners can do about that)

My overall impression was really good - the property was as shown! It was clean and all the amenities were as described. Only one complaint, the king bed and bedding was horrible! The bed was stiff and extremely uncomfortable. The sheets were itchy and the bed comforter was cheap and scratchy. While you don't expect the same comforts on vacation that you have at home, you expect a comfortable place to rest. It made for difficulty sleeping/resting. It was the main reason I couldn't wait for the vacation to be over. I couldn't take another night in that bed.

We really enjoyed our first trip to VA beach. Sandbridge is such a laid-back, less crowded area. The private beach access and under building parking was great. Condo was clean and inviting and perfect for our family of 4.

First time not oceanfront BUT I feel we had the best condo with the windows and courtyard view. It was clean and fully functional. Would stay again.

The location of the property and the beach was nice, but sleeping six requires the use of cot. The property needed maintenance. The master bath shower floor was noisy and squeaked. The trash chute was out of order. Several light bulbs required replacement. The tv in one of the bedrooms was disconnected. The toilet in one of bathrooms was out of order. Maintenance arrived to correct most of the problems timely. The grills on the property were out of order/difficult to operate without clear instructions. I would stay again if the maintenance issues were resolved.

This was our first time to Virginia Beach and friends recommended the Sandbridge area for a less “touristy” vacation. This location was perfect for us. You have ocean access on one side of the complex and the bay is on the other side- you do not have any access to the bay but there is a restaurant across the street where you can sit and watch the sun set. The boardwalk and most of the tourist attractions are about a 30 min drive. There are a few nearby restaurants, but you will mostly have to drive 15-30 min for a restaurant. There are parks and nature trails/preserves all around with some biking trails also.
It was just my husband and myself, but if we had brought the family, this condo would have been very comfortable for us and our teenage girls. Plenty of towels and a washer and dryer is a huge bonus when you have the whole family. The exercise area was clean and had ample equipment. Make sure you are aware of the pool schedule- it does not open until may which was fine with us but the pool area looked like a great space when able to be used.
I cannot really comment on kitchen supplies because I didn’t cook a single thing while I was there, so I have no idea if they were missing something I would have needed. But the kitchen was clean and the freezer made ice so it wasn’t necessary for me to buy a bag. The only downfall- these is nothing available to help carry items to your condo. This wasn’t a huge deal for us- we are young and just made a couple of trips. If it would have been us when our kids were younger it would have been a giant pain to carry all of the luggage and groceries without any sort of cart. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The location of this unit is at the southern end of Sandbridge, which makes the beach time lovely as there are fewer people than the over crowded VA beach 35 minutes north. The listing said top floor, but that was a lie as there is a unit above and little kids could be heard running back and forth in the early morning hours. While the condo has a coffee maker, no coffee filters exist so be sure to pack those. Cups and glasses are also minimal, and most days we drank from coffee cups as there weren’t enough drinking glasses. Only one garbage bag in the kitchen for a long weekend seemed “cheap” as did the single mini bottles of shampoo/conditioner. The master bed had a waterproof plastic sheet on the mattress crinkling with every movement and the mattress was not very comfortable. Given the closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away(right next to the Vacasa check in office), plan your trips there accordingly. The condo was spacious and plenty of room for the three of us. Covered garage parking and an elevator made getting our things to and from the beach very easy. The beach is well within walking distance for most also. The pool was still closed during our Spring Break trip and the hot tub is in the other building but under construction. It wouldn’t be worth the walk even if it was open though. There are grills a plenty and natural gas feeds then so we took advantage and made some dinner there one night. All in the location and price at Spring Break was great but the host needs to make some improvements to the beds, basic supplies and general amenities within the condo to make a more pleasurable stay.

The condo was much larger than we expected and the light pouring in from all of the living room windows and slider doors was amazing! The living room furniture was comfortable and nice to entertain local family for an evening. The kitchen has everything you need and the large gas grills outside were nice to have available. Bathrooms are large with oversized tubs/showers. Master bedroom bed was a bit uncomfortable, especially with the plastic mattress cover and cheap industrial sheets.
The area is great and super quiet (March). We’ve stayed in many vacation homes and condos all over the south and this was the first location where we couldn’t find a luggage trolley or shopping cart to bring up our things. Trying to carry everything through the parking garage, up the elevator and all the way down the hall, through multiple doors is very difficult. If there was a trolley available, we never found one-pack light and don’t buy too many heavy groceries. All in all, it was a nice place though.
