Professionally decorated, Sunset Haven lives up to its name with stunning bayfront views and mesmerizing sunsets over the scenic waters of the Back Bay. The vibrant colors of the sunset are truly a sight to behold.

Inside, the condo features modern flooring, an open floor plan, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame panoramic views of the protected coastal landscape. The living area offers ample seating for family gatherings, a 37-inch HDTV and DVD player for movie nights, and a selection of games for friendly competition. For those who need to stay connected, a desk and free WiFi are available.

In the evenings, step out onto the private balcony to watch the sun dip below the horizon and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the surrounding wildlife. The open kitchen, complete with granite countertops, essential appliances, and plenty of cabinet and pantry space, is equipped with everything you need, including a Keurig coffee maker for your morning brew. The butcher block dining table comfortably seats six, while the bar-height counter off the kitchen is ideal for quick snacks or casual meals. Each bedroom is a suite with its own TV, providing private comfort for all guests.

The Sanctuary community offers fantastic on-site amenities, including three outdoor pools, Viking grills, and two fitness centers. Right next door is the 400-foot fishing pier at Little Island Park, featuring a children’s playground and courts for tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball, with plenty of public parking for your guests. Just down the road, explore the natural beauty of Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, offering beach access and expansive hiking trails.

Things to Know
The community pool is open annually from the beginning of June to the end of August for guest use. Pool dates are weather permitting and at the Condo Association's discretion.
The Sanctuary HOA schedules structural upkeep during the off-season, blocking off certain sides of the buildings, making it unsafe for our guests to be on the balcony. The balcony may not be available for guests from October to mid-May.
This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The condo is well equipped with everything you need for a successful vacation. It is vey close to the beach even though it looks out to the bay side. The pool on B side is nice, A side is larger and nicer. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils. The mattresses in the spare room were really nice. The main bedroom mattress was not very comfortable and that bedroom gets really hot. The pillows there are also very thin and I wished I had brought my own. There is Mexican restaurant downstairs that is super convenient after a day at the beach. Our family had a great vacation!

Nice and spacious. Many amenities and beds were comfy. Floor felt nasty so had to keep shoes on the whole time. AC kept reverting back to 76 degrees which made sleeping difficult at times because it got hot. Was also hard to enjoy ourselves with having to worry about disturbing full timers. We were told we were being too loud because the walls are really thin.

The unit itself was beautiful; however, upon arrival to our vacation the unit was not cleaned at all. Crumbs were all over the floor, furniture, and couches, as well as other belongings that people had left there. In addition, the bed sheets were not cleaned properly. We also experienced difficulties with our door locks during our stay and we were disappointed that the pools were closed off and on each day and were closed early every evening. Unfortunately, the owners of the unit have done a great job with decor and everything else, but management at Vacasa did not represent the property as it currently stands.

Nice view of the bay with a table outside. Decorated nice. Good set up of beds. No carpet. Had a lot of items to use in the kitchen. Laundry machine worked. Owner gave us a gift bag. Was not as clean as we would have liked. Master shower was clogged. Filter on furnace was really dirty. Dishes in dish washer were not put away and many were dirty. Stove top was not clean. The counter top did not see clean. The bathroom toilet smelled of pee. White stuff on leather couch. Deck floor was really dirty.

This place was perfect for our family of 4 and grandma. The condo has everything you’d need. Small balcony with chairs for morning coffee & sunset watching in the evening. We also had a few evening storms and it was very fun watching the storms roll in across the bay! The pools were very fun for the kids and they loved the escape from the beach. Our kids were 2 & 4. They didn’t love the beach but had a blast at the pools. I expected the pools to be bigger for the size of the complex. Also the beachfront pool with swim up bar was very dirty. There were always bugs and straws floating in it even when it first opened at 10am and the pool maintenance had just been there. We found the skimmer and skimmed it ourselves one day. The condo was beautiful and the owner very kindly sent us a gift bag of local goodies! I was disappointed in the cleaning company as there was sand and dirt in the beds and a blood stain on the sheets in the master bedroom. Obviously the sheets had not need changed in between guests. The surfaces weren’t wiped down neither was the fridge. It’s a beach house so I expect some sand but it was everywhere. It didn’t appear to be swept at all. And the floors were so dirty my daughters bare feet were black with if 30min of being there. Sadly I would not go back due to the cleanliness. The facility overall could use more attention to cleanliness. I prefer having a private house with pool.
