About this cabin rental
Enjoy perfect views of the Smoky Mountains from Honey Bear Hideaway, a cheerful three-bedroom Gatlinburg cabin accommodating up to nine guests, featuring a private, in-cabin movie theater and a prime location that puts you in proximity to dining, shows, and attractions.
Living Area
Sink into the soft leather sofa or loveseat. Turn on the flat-screen TV or get a fire blazing in the fireplace. You can’t beat the view you’ll see through the picture window. Wood ceilings, floors, and trim bring the outdoors indoors. For bonus fun, a video game console lets one or two players sit while they challenge themselves to a dozen great games.
Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, whether you’re cooking dinner, heating up takeout, or making a picnic to eat by a Smokies waterfall. All the cookware, serving pieces, utensils, and gadgets are here. With plenty of counter space, you can lay out a breakfast pancake buffet or a lunchtime sandwich bar. Let the kids sit at the kitchen’s bar counter and help prep fresh veggies from Gatlinburg’s farmer’s market.
Dining Area
The rustic wooden table is surrounded by windows, creating a nook full of sunshine and terrific views. Sit on the log bench or one of the lovely rail back chairs to eat, sip coffee or check your email. You might get distracted by the vistas of distant hills outside!
Bedrooms
The master suite is cheerful and full of light. With a private entrance directly onto the deck, the bedroom gives you wooded views you can see from your king bed! A separate sitting area offers both a comfy, overstuffed armchair and an old-fashioned rocking chair. The attached bath has a double sink (no need to share!), a deep, jetted tub great for soaking, and a separate shower for total convenience.
The second bedroom is a relaxing haven with a king bed. This room evokes the forest with honey-toned wood and soothing green and white decor.
The bunk room is ideal for kids and teens, or grown-ups nostalgic for the fun of bunk beds! The top bunk is a twin bed and the bottom bunk is a double bed.
All three rooms feature big, flat-screen TVs so you can enjoy your favorite shows in privacy, any time you like.
Movie Theater
Movie buffs will love the in-cabin movie theater, complete with nine cinema-style seats–some are leather recliners! With the seats raised on platforms, you get a good view of the state-of-the-art big-screen TV from every seat.
Outdoor Spaces
Upper and lower decks look out on the wooded view with a mountain in the distance. Bring a glass of moonshine or local fruit wine out to the rocking chairs and take in the beauty.
A bubbling hot tub next to the lower deck stands ready to soak your cares away. Even the hot tub gives you a mountain view!

This is a very good place to stay at for a vacation. Right from the hilly drive up the hills to a narrow single lane road leading up the house, it is an adventure. The living room, home theater and kitchen were large enough for our party of 9. There is nice decor all around the house. The smallest of 3 bedrooms is quite tight though, especially with the bunk beds. Bathrooms are adequate although the jetted tub did not work. The hot water tub outside did not work either. We did see a couple of black bears around the house. The blinds in the master bed were broken and sunlight woke us up early every morning. The staff at colonial said it would be taken care of. Overall, this is a good place to spend time.

If you want to see Bears this is your cabin to rent. Just an FYI make sure the doors all have the deadbolt locks on them as a Mama Bear and 2 of her Cubs came into the cabin and got a bag of Cheetos from the counter. I loved seeing them outside just not in the cabin. Now as for the cabin itself it is very nice and comfy. My complaint is the hot tub didn’t work, blinds in the master bedroom were broken and some missing from the sliding blinds, jets didn’t work in the master bathtub, and no one mowed the grass so that was a little annoying. But the view was definitely worth all the little complaints. I’ll definitely advertise this place to Family and Friends

Our family had an amazing stay at the cabin, wonderful views. Driveway was alittle rough but the views make it totally worth it!

Nice place
The place was nice and quiet. Only complaint is the blinds in the master bedroom were broken and there was a large ditch between the driveway and the road that made it difficult to pull in and out.

Cabin stay
Renting this property was very easy to do. Communication was good with property owners. Cabin was just like the pictures shown on the site. Only downfall was hot tub was broken, we asked for someone to come fix it and they never showed up and two recliners in movie theater were broken. Hot tub and recliners look to be a common complaint from previous renters so I wouldn’t count on those getting fixed anytime soon but otherwise we enjoyed the cabin, it’s location, and everything else about it! If the hot tub was fixed we would definitely rent this cabin again.

Communication
We had a few concerns, but the manager and staff worked to clear those up and they did with flying colors! I was very impressed that they cared for those concerns. It was an amazing cabin, view, and time all the way around.

Beautiful place to stay - with some improvements could be Awesome place to stay
We were a group of 10 - 4 adults and 4 kids under the age of 5. Beautiful cabin and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. We saw a mama bear & her cub twice on our 5 day stay. The tv room was a nice, but some of the recliners were broke, but can be replaced or fixed. The kitchen was nice, but could use some more cooking accessories - bigger pans, crockpot. Feeding 10 people, little pans do not work efficiently. The upper deck was awesome - beautiful view, especially watching the momma bear & cub. Drive up the mountain is a doozy, but well worth the drive. It took about 30 minutes from Gatlinburg. If property owners could add more pots & pans & Serving dishes and fix a few things that were broke, it would be an awesome place to stay in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Amazing family vacation!!
This cabin is great. Honeybear Hideaway is the perfect family vacation spot. The ride up, in the dark, on arrival was a little nerve wracking but completely manageable without AWD or 4x4. The view is AMAZING!!

A HORRIBLE PLACE WASTE OF MONEY and turned them into the BBB and they NEVER responded yet
the WORST place we have ever rented, we got this for our parents 49yr anniversary. They wanted a view, hot tub and spa tub. From the start we had to wait hours to get into the place because the house keeper locked the bottom door, then got on there nothing was swept and mopped, dead bugs everywhere. The hot tub and steam shower didn't work, the spa tub no one would get in because the jets were nasty and that would cause infections. Dead bugs all around it to, the towels were nasty looking, the dryer didn't dry, everything was dusty, and when our disable mom wanted to lay down she got back up said there is no way she was sleeping in that bed because the sheets stink and nothing felt fresh. No one got to do any of the things because nothing worked. It was a waste of money that we didn't have. And the customer service was crappy. NO ONE will call you back, the owners wouldn't call us back and the colonial property people didn't really know anything about nothing. So we got that place for 2 nights and didn't get to stay one. VERY DISAPPOINTED not in vrbo because we have went through them before but the colonial property and the home owners that you want be able to get ahold of. So we will spread the news about this place everywhere if the owners don't make this right and that place will not get rented and people want go through what we did. They stuff they said was there but none of it worked and it was nasty there. We got pictures of everything when we got there to. So we have proof of this mess.
