The location was great loved the layout of the needed some repairs and updating. The bedrooms and bathrooms we very spacious air conditioning worked well the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.The sliding doors would not close completely and the day we had a hard rain the floors got wet we called and they did someone out to fix it but it was going to have more than could be done that day. All linens were clean beds were comfortable.The only think I felt needed to be done is the paneling needs to be replace that looks as it had been damaged by water.I will definitely rent it again.

We love this beach house!! The beach is at its back door!! We have already booked for next year! I would give all stars but a few things need to be done. Sliding doors need to be repaired or replaced. Just needs some updating. Didn’t smell fresh and clean when we got there, but could be due to hurricane days before we got there.

This was wonderful! The closest we have been to the water. It is definitely a dated house but we come to the beach and not to stay in the house. I took a Sun Ninja and set up on deck as there was not a shade. We will definitely rent again

Grandchild kept getting stuck in the Bathroom because the door would stick in the unfinished jam. The sliding glass doors would not close completely and one side, besides not having door handles, would come out of the track and fall if opened. (After the first attempt, we dod not open that side for the duration of the stay.)Neither of the sliding glass doors had handles and the side we could open had to be lifted and tilted to close completely. Water damage all along the inside rear of the house was visually unappealing and looked as though it had mildew or mold on the paneling at floor level. One of the chairs around the table was split. The bathroom looked as though it had recently been painted but the sheet rock information could be read through the paint making it look unfinished.This was our second time staying in the house and love the location, but the home needs work. Although not as expensive as other properties, at $500 per day, the property should be better maintained.

Location was the top positive. Beachfront and across the street from family. The house has a great layout. Spacious kitchen along with a living area and sunroom. The sunroom provided extra living space. For the negatives, the internet does not work consistently. TV is through streaming so my husband could not enjoy his vacation hobby. Underneath the beds needed cleaning. The sliding doors did not close without the wooden “lock.” Additionally a side door could not be opened. Blinds were old and broken. Need replacing. The last thing was the leaking through windows in a blowing rain. Water puddled in a front bedroom and soaked a suitcase. We enjoyed our stay but hope some issues are corrected for other renters. A living area window also leaked. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was great. My yes recommendation comes with knowing it is a dated home. Location overcomes negatives.

Our stay was fine but for the amount this house rented for I expected things to at least work as they should. Sliding doors leading to the beach did not slide and close properly. Gaps galore. Also one sliding door had no handles at all and the other one was broken. My wife could not open and close them on her own. The washing machine did not work at all. Tried for 2 hrs to get it to wash and it would not. All the lighting in the main areas were very dim and some lighting did not work at all. So at night it was very dark in the home. The beds were decent and furniture was in good shape. The kitchen needs some love but functioned as is. All the utensils need replacing. Very poor condition, same with some of the pots/pans. Overall I would not rent this place again unless everything was in proper working condition. If it had rented for $600-700 less than this, this is what I would expect from a beach front home. But for the price everything should work and be usable. Easily could make this home worth the rent for a little investment. Lightning, new/repair washer, repaired sliding doors and new utensils, pots and pans.

We loved the walkout feature so we didn't have to navigate lots of stairs for our short legged corgis.The layout was perfect and the photos just didn't do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and we pretty much went from house to beach...beach to house. And the deck was fantastic for the lovely Florida evenings.

Deck facing the beach, GREAT!!! Kitchen very large with unique island. Stove and refrigerator large and in good shape. Water pressure was good in the showers. Chairs on deck in great shape. Checking in and out very easy. Windows and doors facing the beach were great to set and look at the beach. Swing and side porch not shown in photos were great when raining or setting in the shade. Large dining area and living room. Washer and dryer in great shape. Now the bad-Unit was not cleaned well at check in. Shower in 1 bathroom did not work. Many doors and windows do not shut good or at all. We had to secure doors leading to deck with wood bars. Laundry room out side does not have a door to secure beach gear. Fish cleaning station out side not clean in a while. Side porch area not cleaned. Cigarette butts in ash tray and trash around deck. TVs very small and no TV in 3rd bedroom, upgrades are needed. Some furniture in need of repair or replaced. With some repairs and a good cleaning this would be probably the best property on the island for the price.

We had a nice week at the beach. It was great to step off the back deck onto the beach without having to use the stairs! The home has an open floor plan and all the rooms in the house are large, particularly considering the home’s age. The side porch with the swing was great when we needed to dodge the occasional afternoon showers. The highlight of the trip was watching a loggerhead turtle lay her eggs just down the beach.

This home was clean and well equipped. Read a previous review about lack of cookware. We took a few things. But someone had been shopping. Very well equipped with baking sheets, pyrex, etc. The only thing I found lacking wasn’t a big deal was a larger sized coffee mug. Close to the beach & no stairs. Only thing missing was the sprayer on the end of the hose. Which it now has. I always pack one, that I donated and hope to use again! Made it much easier to hose off us and the furbabies when returning fm the beach. We could leave the hose right @ the ramp to the beach. Now if we could give this nice of a review for the weather the week would have been perfect.

We have rented Sandy Beach several times. The house has a great beach location. We knew going in that the kitchen didn’t have much to supply but who cares. This time there were not enough bowls for four people. Silverware was almost nothing. We had to fix the shower to even use it. The handle to the outside porch was still broken. When you pay for your family to have a vacation, you should have at least the basics. When we arrived most the dishes were dirty. They were put away not even washed by the previous renters. Really comforting durning a pandemic. We still had a great time but just a few cheap updates would have been nice. It just seemed very easy to make better and that is what made it frustrating.

When I first walked into Sandy Beach, I was unsure about the house. The immediate reaction was that the house needs work. After staying for a week, we appreciated the location the most but also the space that the house had. The beds were comfortable and the converted porch furniture was great. The main living room furniture needs to be replaced. The kitchen cabinets are very rough and some of the bedroom furniture was use at your own risk. The covered side porch with the swing was a bonus and a great place to hang out. The back deck furniture was very nice to sit in and relax at the end of the day. The electronics in the house were lacking but we don’t come to the beach to watch TV so it was really not an issue for us. We will definitely consider Sandy Beach for our next vacation.

Very nice location right on the beach but not so far you have to drive to the Blue Parrot or any of the other shops. Always clean and well maintained. We plan on going again next year.

Well, the first thing I thought when walking into this house was, THE VIEW. The second thing I thought was I would not rent again. These were my first feelings in the first hour. HOWEVER, we fell in love with this old beach home. The deck and chairs out back are amazing. The side porch not pictured in the rental pics (it should be) was one of our favorite places. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and we loved them. The mattresses were great. The kitchen needs new cabinets. They are broken down, wood falling off. It is a huge kitchen and the butcher block pictured in the middle (I was wary of it at first) was our favorite place to make everything. This little piece of heaven just needs some tender loving care. The blinds MUST be replaced as they are rusty and falling down. It would also make the presence inside so much better. There are two dens. We loved the one on the sunporch but the floral, the one with the pull out couch must be trashed. It is ripped and awful. We just sat on the other one. These things are listed so you can know what to expect. I would rent again in a heartbeat hoping they will at least do the blinds. Remove unused furniture/pics from closets. Clean the dirt out of the laundry room which is very spacious. Just wish it had a door. Since there wasn't an enclosed outdoor shower, we'd strip down in there and wrap a towel , hang suits on the line and then go inside to shower. There are no stairs. View and steps to the water are insane and worth renting this property. We took good care of it while there but hope the owners put in a little love. Again, new blinds are a MUST (you have to lower them for the turtles so they need to be better), the drawers on the furniture must be fixed. I can live with old cabinetry but needs some desperate care. Know what you are walking into and you will love it. Thank you, Sandy Beach for a great time. Suncoast office was very helpful and we also appreciate them.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Beach. As soon as we arrived we found the refrigerator not working and the garbage disposal not working. Suncoast brought us a small refrigerator to use and even offered to replenish any food we lost. They had everything replaced and fixed as soon as possible. The house was not cleaned very well and they offered to have it cleaned again but we already unpacked so we just cleaned it ourselves. Suncoast was always so responsive and helpful. We did have an amazing time and made some wonderful memories at Sandy Beach. It was the perfect beach house for us. We definitely plan on going back and definitely recommend Sandy Beach and Suncoast.

This is a great ground level vacation home. It is an older home. The very large living area is very nice. The location to the beach was nice. We were there during Hurricane Sally and the age of the house was made very apparent. We still enjoyed our stay in this house. We look forward to coming again and staying in this house.

The main living room furniture needs to be replaced. The kitchen cabinets are very rough and some of the bedroom furniture was use at your own risk. The covered side porch with the swing was a bonus and a great place to hang out. The back deck furniture was very nice to sit in and relax at the end of the day. The electronics in the house were lacking but we don’t come to the beach to watch TV so it was really not an issue for us. We will definitely consider Sandy Beach for our next vacation.
