About this house rental

Lake View Cabin!

This 5 bed 3 1/2 bath cabin is right on the water's edge with beautiful views. It is a great place to enjoy nature, friends, and family. The cabin boasts great high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi and includes several smart TVs with plenty of channels. The home sleeps for up to 16. You can enjoy everything the lake has to offer. Mammoth Cave National Park is only 20 miles away, hiking and cave tours are available all year round. There are many other places to enjoy near this amazing getaway.

On the main floor is a large family room with a large tv and surround sound. You can enjoy big games or movies with plenty of seating. There is also a sitting area around the stone fireplace. The Kitchen has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. It has up-to-date stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped. In the Kitchen area, there is a large dining room table to fit twelve and plenty of seating elsewhere. The screened-in porch connects to the dining area, so you can appreciate nature without the insects. The main floor deck is directly outside the large doors and windows. The master bedroom is located on this floor with a full bath. There is also a half bath available for everyone to use.

On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, the first with a queen-sized bed, and the second with a full-sized bed. These two rooms both share a large full bath with everything you need.

The walk-out basement has a pool room, it is a great space to gather with family, and play. The bunk room with six beds is so much fun, there is also a bedroom with a king. They both share a large full bath. The best part about the basement is the spacious outdoor space that overlooks the lake with a grilling area and fire pit.

Started with walking in to find home was not cleaned in a long time covered in dust! Walked in to find counters, refrigerator and top of range covered in food and coffee water from broken machine. Opened oven to find it full of old burnt food and filthy. Found trash can area full of filth and old dirt/food. Walked the rest of the property immediately to find dirty carpets throughout. Bedding smelled musky from dust as well as towels. Pool table covered in dirt and all equipment in bad shape. No dishwasher soap so hand washing dishes only way to clean used equipment. Found fry pan covered in food in cabinet with cleaner pans. Before the first two hours we had two separate door handles fall off where I had to locate a set of allen wrenches so that I could reset screws to hold the handles on. As the days went by we noticed WiFi access to the home turned off at night and with no instructions on which of the multiple controllers controlled which units, we found that only one would turn just the TV on? After a bit we found one system would turn on by hand so we could put a movie in to watch! I walked the perimeter the next day and the inside to determine the other issues at this site included the following. Internal staircase to the lower floor has no handrails and is not safe to walk down without touching walls! The light strings on the patio have exposed filaments on two of the bulbs as well as very bad dirt, cobwebs and tree filth long since cleaned

This house spacious and accommodating. Plenty of bedrooms and living space/outdoor space to host a bigger family. There is no direct lake access from the property but you only have to walk for a minute or two to get to the dock. The lake is beautiful with plenty of "beach" areas. Definitely would recommend!

Everything was perfect. Great Lake access by a short walk. We were able to use their dock for our boat while we were there. TONS of space to spread out inside the 3 story house. They were wonderful, welcoming hosts! We had a great time!

Wonderful location close enough to Mammoth Cave for a day trip and super close to Barren River State Park. We went to the state park and rented a boat one day and had a wonderful time out on the lake. The house was very nice and we had kids ranging from 20 to 6 years old and everyone had a great time. Clint was very nice and answered all our questions before hand in a very timely manner. I’ll definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to vacation in this area.

3 generations stayed comfortably here, enjoying the deck and screened porch, meals around the table and neighborhood walks. Visited Barren River area parks and Paradise Point for hot dogs etc and Caster’s bait shop for sundries. We also visited Railpark museum in Bowling Green and toured the L&N train, which was a highlight. The hosts provided ample towels and hand, dish and dishwasher soap. Our dogs enjoyed walking around the quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We came for a graduation. All of our kids came. The house was perfect. Very clean, had everything we needed. A great layout to be together but separation when it was needed. The drive to the house was beautiful, as was the setting of trees. Could nit have been any better!

The house is stunning and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. We had come into town to 4x4 at Blue Holler Offroad Park, which is a hour away from the house. Our only complaint is the steep driveway especially with hauling jeeps we had on trailers. The house was fully furnished with what we needed. Our family of 10 all had plenty of room. The decks off the back were so nice to sit and enjoy the view of the river. Clint the owner was super helpful as our GPS put us at a different house. Thank you and love your house.

We had a ball. Property was clean and had everything we needed. We had an issue with the door lock on one of the doors, the property manager promptly sent someone up to repair it. The only issue was with the listing. The site listed a sofa bed and futon, and the home did not have it. Other than that, everything was great. I recommend this property for any type of get away. I plan to return for family events in the future.

The house was very nice. Large deck with a screened in area and lower patio area. Our negative comments: You cannot walk down to the lake on the property due to underbrush behind the house. Also, if you plan on cooking there were no potholders to use.

Property was very nice, plenty of bedrooms/space, great outdoor sitting areas with a beautiful wooded lot and views of the lake. The lake itself if gorgeous, beach nearby, wonderful places to stop in and eat. Close to towns but secluded as well. Owner was great in communication, very easy rental, would highly recommend!

The house beautiful and large enough to accommodate our family of 11. The teenagers enjoyed the pool table and there was room for everyone to spread out. The screen in porch with the fan was a favorite spot with the adults. The kitchen was adequate to cook all our meals there. The location of the house made an easy access to Mammoth Cave and Abe Lincoln National Parks The only inconvenience was that there was no access to the lake from the house -so you had to drive to the beach / boat areas.

Fun family spring break

This house was very well-equipped and offered plenty of space for our two families to spread out (4 adults, 5 kids ages 7-15). We used this as our home base to explore Mammoth Cave National Park, as well as attractions in Bowling Green (30-40 minute drive). We cooked several dinners here and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We also used the charcoal grill one night. The screen porch was a favorite spot for sitting & talking, or quietly enjoying the view with a cup of coffee.

We took a trip for my son's 15th birthday, myself, my son, my 2 college daughters, a friends little 5 year old and my friend with her 2 teen boys and 7 year old. It was such a nice place! Everything was just how it looked online. Everyone was so happy with it they wanted to move in lol. We asked the host for any ideas for things to do in the area and he was happy to give us some ideas. We had no problems while there and when we left, my son forgot his wallet in the bedside table. I messaged the host Clint and he found it and arranged for it to be sent to us, even put a friendly note in the package when he sent it! The house and veiw was perfect we will definitely be back when we can!
