A jewel in Holmfirth's crown

The cottage was absolutely stunning with the most beautiful furnishings. They were all either antique or thrift shop findings. All high quality items so fitting to the cottage. Our host, Gina was very helpful and was always available should we need anything, even down to recommending a reliable taxi company. There were little touches, such as Yorkshire tea, biscuits and fresh flowers that made the cottage feel like home. We loved our stay, it was a little enclave away from the real world. So clean and quirky but with a real feel of history too. We didn't want to leave and would 100% look to booking Cottage Pie again, we just hope word doesn't get out! :)

Cottage Getaway

The cottage was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It had everything that you needed, Gina is a great host, and you can tell that she wants you to be comfortable. The cottage is so sweet and picturesque, just like a biscuit tin picture. The location is perfect as you can walk into town which has lively pubs and restaurants ti suit everyone's needs. We will diffinately visit again. Thank you, Gina, for making our stay special 🙏

Exceptional stay well worth a visit.

Beautiful 17th century cottage full of character and comfort. Very homely, excellent facilities. Host lovely really helpful and warm welcome. Very thoughtful to customer's needs. Filled with thoughtful little luxuries to make your stay special. Would highly recommend staying at 'Cottage Pie'. Enjoyed the experience very much and would love to stay again.

There was not a thing not to like. Could not fault the host or property in any way.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful cottage ! Would go again!

The property was lovely, everything had been so well thought out! It was really well appointed and everything you could possibly have needed was there! Ideal!! The owner has clearly thought about her visitors and lovely l little touches like strawberries, milk, biscuits etc were much appreciated!

Relaxing, cosy and unique.

The cottage has everything you could wish for. Gina has done an amazing job of making this a really cosy home from home. Such lovely touches and fantastic style. Beautiful styling of the outdoor area too, just a gorgeous cosy place all round.

Family trip

The cottage is in a beautiful village. It was so welcoming and warm and smelled amazing on arrival! There was a talking point in every room. It was cool and quirky and quite literally had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Couldn't fault it,we had such a comfortable stay.

Exceptional

Our stay was quiet perfect. The house is well equipped, cozy and very tastefully furnished. There are a lot of details to be explored in here. You will never miss some comfort features on the other hand. Communication with Gale (host) was perfect. We felt like home, thank you.

Easiest 10/10 ever - attention to detail was top notch and Gina was amazingly welcoming:)

Furniture was amazing, cleanliness was an equal 10/10, and beds super comfy. Gina added her lovely little touches everywhere you'd look at. Such a well thought out and beautiful space - there's no question we'd be coming back again, and the only regret is that we didn't stay for long enough!

Beautiful cottage with high quality finishes in a great location

The cottage is stunning, with lots of luxurious textiles & quirky little details. Everything from the bedding to the kitchen utensils were high quality. The owner thoughtfully left little treats for us (I won’t say what as I don’t want to ruin it for other guests) but it made our trip feel special.

Nothing although it’s not in the centre, it was a little drive out from town (about 5 mins) but this wasn’t a problem for us as it was easy / free parking and we were exploring the local area anyway.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

An absolutely first rate, spotlessly clean gem of a cottage, beautifully laid out. Lots of thoughtful, personal touches going above and beyond, including pretty fresh flowers. Sweet little patio with seating. Such a lot of attention to detail. Quirky, different, delightful. Highly recommend this fairytale setting.
