Patio furniture and patio were full of spider webs and pretty dirty. Other wise the stay was awesome. Location is amazing!!!!
4.6
Great location near restaurants and beach. Nice to have the parking available.
The house was a bit tired in places, especially the kitchen and dining room furniture, but overall the house was a great size and ample accommodation for our family of 5.
4.6
Location and front patio were awesome. Having a two car garage was a big plus! It does get hot in the house at certain times of day. But the house was clean and spacious!
4.6
Great location. A short walk to the beach and several restaurants. It seems like everything we wanted to visit was within a 20
minute drive. Having a garage was nice ( It will fit a small car or minivan. A larger SUV would be a challenge). The layout accommodated our family of six well and the beds were comfortable. There are a couple of minor maintenance / upkeep issue that need addressing, but none were show stoppers. We would stay here again.

Thank you, clean, well stocked, close to everything, communication was great. Neighbors are awesome. Definitely be back.

Great location between Bay and Beach. The unit is nice and we loved the large tree out front, such a beautiful view/setting from the living area. This unit needs some updating, the dining room chairs are dirty, ripped and just gross. Vacasa support did not seem to care that we had a coffee machine that did not work. Unfortunate, as we were so looking forward to chillaxing and enjoying the unit that we rented, instead we had to uproot and go find coffee. With a little updating and a working coffee machine, we would consider returning.

It is so close to the beach, you can walk in the morning along the teach, talk with the sea! Kids love play on the beach!

Location was amazing. Proximity (to bay and ocean as well as restaurants) is the top selling point for this property.
Communication was not the best and Vacasa actually called on the first night of our trip telling me we would need to vacate immediately due to maintenance issues and we would have to be relocated. After I told them that wasn’t possible they said they would call me back. Once they returned my call they said maintenance would be handled in August and I was fine to stay. Suddenly the roof leak and bathroom issues went away?? Three days later they emailed to see how the AC was working- there was no AC at the property. Their communication was incredibly confusing and disorganized.
The property itself was at one time nice. Layout is fine. It’s just tired looking. Chipped paint, drywall and tile eroding in showers, broken fans, scraped walls, and older washer and dryer. It just needs a facelift. I think once maintenance is handled it will be nice. We have stayed in Mission for the last 10 summers and have stayed at some very nice places. We paid a lot of money to stay here for the 4th of July week and it just wasn’t worth it.

This place was perfect for our group of adults and teens. Situated steps away from the bay and a 1 minute walk to the ocean. House was clean and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots/pans and decent small appliances. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were as described. The dining chairs were needing new cushions but still comfortable. The outside patio was nice but needs a good sweeping every day since the tree sheds leaves/debris. There is a hose bib on the patio to wash your feet off but it would be better to have an outdoor shower. The garage is long and fit my 2022 Tundra TRD (stock) though it was a really tight fit. The garage door is 6’10”.

This was our second stay at this property. Our last stay being two years ago. First the pluses: A great location, nice quiet neighborhood for the most part. Love Olives Bakery and Mrs. B's around the corner. Convenient to bay and beach. Paddle boards for guests to use. Great set up for our two families. We really like this house but there are several concerns that we feel need to be addressed.
Now the minuses: The house needs a good deep cleaning. The patio is a nice addition but we had to clean it before we could use it. It was filthy. It needs a good power wash and some TLC. The upstairs shower drains so slowly that you're standing in two to three inches of water within minutes. (It does look like they are in the middle of repairs...possibly for plumbing issues. There were several areas where drywall was missing and taped off which really had no effect on our stay...possibly taped off where plumbing repairs were started.?) The kitchen counter grossed me out last time and I guess I hoped they had been replaced it in the last two years but no...In the pictures it looks as if the counters are a stone or solid surface. Unfortunately the breakfast bar is the only solid surface. The actual counters are wood and they are have not been maintained. They are a breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria. We laid foil over them and used cutting boards that we brought with us but it was still a source of concern. These were the same issues we encountered the last time we stayed here. The stairs going down from the main living area to downstairs are a bit hazardous. There is a metal plate at the top of the stairs that a few of us tripped on going downstairs. I have bruises on the back of my shin from where it dug into my leg. It's really a hazard. Thankfully none of us fell as a result. We were hoping things would have improved in the two years since. We agreed we would write a candid review this time so that the owners would have the opportunity to make this a better experience for their guests.

Great location, but this place needs a lot of updates. 1980s style drier spins but does not get hot. A small load of clothes didn’t dry after over 3 hours in the dryer. The management team was contacted and didn’t really care. The stove smelled like gas when in use and sounded like someone was knocking on the door. Dining room seats with rips in it. Upstairs shower tiles feel like it is going to fall off onto you. Just not what you would expect from a vacation rental. Kind of a beater.
4.6
It was all as stated online and I probably would stay here again. However the stove and oven still doesn’t work properly and there are major roof leaks.
4.6
Comfortable place. Our party consisted of 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. 2 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry on lowest level. Living area with powder room on middle level and master bedroom and bath on the upper level. Renters need to be comfortable navigating stairs. Location is great. Quiet neighborhood. beach and bay both very close. We would be happy to rent place again.

Great location, having two King beds is what sealed our decision to stay here.

This home was in a state of neglect and not clean.
Vacasa was not responsive to our many concerns that ranged from a broken main bath faucet, slow draining tub, 2 of the 3 TV’s were not working, oven igniters did not work correctly, window coverings dirty, baseboards were greasy with dirt, lights in bath were not working, dining room chairs were filthy, carpets were stained, several windows had no screens, only one closet and it’s door was off the track, fans in bedroom and dining room did not work properly and there were bugs in the bathrooms.
Only saving grace was we were at the beach and location was great.

This is a great location and the price is right. A deep clean and some updating would make it fabulous.

The house was clean and spacious. Can't beat the location.

Property was tired vs pictures and description. Drier didn't dry clothes. Dirty walls near stairs. Exterior door lock broken, but was fixed by a very nice service guy. Dirty stair carpets. Exterior trim needs paint and deck needs cleaning.
4.6
The location between the ocean and the bay is very pleasant due to the breeze.
We enjoyed the front patio, naturally shaded during the warm days and quiet at night.
Walking to dinner was another benefit of the location.

The location was great - two minute walk to either the ocean or the bay, excellent breakfast place (Olive Cafe) literally around the corner, other restaurants and bars close by as well. The pictures of the house showed exactly what you got - there was a big living room, a well-appointed kitchen, nice-sized bedrooms. No A/C, and it was very stuffy when we first got inside, but after opening windows on each floor, it got comfortable fairly quickly - might be a little tough during a heat wave, but there are a couple of floor fans to circulate the air, and a ceiling fan in the master (although the ceiling fan was so squeaky that I'm not sure I could have slept with it running). The two-car garage was plenty big enough, and we enjoyed using the paddleboards. One thing that could have been improved on was the cleanliness of the deck outside - lots of tree debris, some bird droppings, etc - nothing that couldn't be worked around, but would have been nice if it had been hosed down and/or power-washed recently. Overall, though, we had a great time and the house was what we expected.

Great rental! The house was clean, had everything we needed and in a terrific location. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy, there were beach towels, chairs and even two stand up paddle boards we were able to use. It is one block from the bay and 2 blocks from the beach. Nice quiet neighborhood. We are already planning our next vacation here.

Excellent stay!!
We had an excellent stay at the Ostend 830. 710 Beach Rentals were attentive and quickly responsive via text. The rental pictures were representative of the unit - super close to the beach, many beds, and new appliances. We will certainly stay with 710 again in the future!

We were here for a wedding on Sunday and came the Wednesday before to make it a family vacation. The location was perfect. The neighborhood was VERY quiet. The beds were SO comfortable! I would give this property a 10!

The layout of this house worked out great for our family. It was conveniently located to the bay side and was a quick walk to the beach yet located away from the busyness of the boardwalk and Mission Bay Dr. The management company was quick to respond to any of our questions and were courteous to work with.

Very nice property that was a good fit for 3 adults and 3 small children. The location is perfect for taking the onsite paddleboards to the bay, or taking a short walk over to the ocean side. A big bonus is the tandem parking garage which fit our 2 medium size SUVs (it is longer than the 30 ft. description). The only downside is no AC. With 3 small children we could not leave doors open to move the air. But the unit does have 3 floor fans which helped. Definitely recommend this beach house for active families or those that just want to relax.
