This house is charming with plenty of space to bring groups of people. There are two dining tables, lots of places to sit and a very cute back yard. The sleeping arrangements were nice, but the one room with four beds was a bit awkward and had a child size bed that isn't comfortable for adults to sleep in. Perfect if you have little ones. The location is ideal; close to the main street with restaurants, markets, shops and bars and also a short walking distance to the beach. My family, friends and I enjoyed our stay and all agree that it is a home we will rent again if it is available the next time we're in Manzanita. 5/5 stars, for sure.

Great place. We were largely stuck in during a rainy weekend and this place was perfect.
It's a little understocked on essentials (coffee filters, cooking oils, salt etc.), so just plan accordingly.

We loved this beach house. It is a few blocks from the beach and steps from the main street. The house is charming with a wonderful downstairs for playing games, watching movies and a large dinner table for a big family or group. A great backyard with a firepit and many Adirondack chairs. It is a perfect beach house.

It’s our second time staying here and just as enjoyable as the first.

This house is great for a larger family or group of friends. There are several large tables for eating or playing games. You will likely find it a bit drafty in the winter but not exceptionally so.
Our trip was dampened by a lack of hot water for the entire weekend, and confusing communication with the management In addition i will say that the lighting is sorta questionable at night, with a focus on bare bulb aesthetics over warm and bright lighting.
The oven and stove are functional though the large burners on the stove are starting to flag; you'll have to turn them up pretty high to get your sauté going. The refrigerator is large and holds temperature.
This was clearly a family beach house at some point. There is a delightful abundance of plates, serving dishes, pans, and flatware available.
The bed in the downstairs bathroom is quite firm verging on rock hard.
The backyard is huge and has a fire pit; in dryer weather it would be quite lovely. If you have any discomfort sitting in solid wood chairs, keep in mind that all of the table seating is high backed and unpadded.

The house was much older than it looked in pictures. Upstairs bathroom is in bad shape.
Great location, only a block from beach.

Loved the short distance to town.

We had a delightful time at Captain's corner, it's so close to the beach and the cute strip of Laneda Dr. Came with our two littles and met family friends with their littles. The bunk room had plenty for them to explore and play with. The community space was large with a separate table for puzzles and building ( a major win for the puzzlers in the group). Upon arrival the upstairs was not heated yet and there seemed to be just one vent to heat the whole floor. Vacasa was very responsive and brought over space heaters. They kept us cozy the whole weekend. Hope to come again!

We loved this quirky house. Interesting design with lots of room. The location is great - quick walk to Laneda and the beach. Lots of helpful things in the house - dishwasher, games, blankets, plenty of dishes and glasses, etc. The backyard is huge and great for hanging out.

This house is old but very nice with a lot of character and a great location right near the beach and downtown Manzanita. However, the keyless entry did not work at all and using the keys on the locks was like breaking into a safe! As a result, every time we left we had to struggle with the keys to get back in and even to lock the door to leave. There are some stains on the carpeting showing a lot of wear and tear but the place did have a lot of character. The table and chairs outside could use replacing as well. In general, I find that rentals managed by Vacasa are always somewhat disappointing.

This lovely old home in the center of Manzanita was the perfect place for our extended family vacation. The bedroom configuration fit almost to a T. It would have been nice to have a queen rather than double bed for the 4th couple in our group. The kitchen was well appointed and useful in spite of the older, electric stove. We made good use of all the outside seating, bar-b-ques and fire pit. We loved the proximity to grocery stores and beaches. This is an older property showing signs of repeated, long term use. All eleven of us (3 kids) enjoyed our stay and would return.

This house was perfect for Grandma and 2 families - 5 kids in all. Kitchen had what we needed and we could easily drive to busy Cannon Beach, then come back to this quiet getaway. Loved being able to walk a couple blocks to enjoy the ocean sunset or an early morning stroll on the lovely uncrowded beach. The fire pit in backyard was also enjoyed by all. My daughter mentioned it was one of the most kid-friendly places they've stayed at. Lots of games and books. My grandson loved getting the upper bunk :)

May beach visit
We were very pleased with our stay. Getting in and locking up the place when we would leave was cumbersome and hard to make it work correctly. We loved how close we were to the beach and to the little town of Manzanita. We would love to return.
We felt that not getting in until 4 and having to depart at 10 was unfair and unreasonable especially since we paid for full days. Otherwise all was great. Thank you so much!

Completely Charming Getaway
This lovely vintage house had everything we needed for our multi-generational family vacation. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It was such a convenient walk to the ocean and to local restaurants, and the house was well-stocked with everything we needed.

Fantastic home!
I love this home! It has a true beach feel with paneled walls and wood built ins and wood fire place that make it feel cozy. There are a lot of games and puzzles and beach reads in the house. It is super close to the beach and shops. The backyard has a great big fire pit. Bring wood if you can, though they do sell it at the local stores. The yard seems protected from the wind which was nice. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay in this home again.

Cozy, vintage vibe!
Just two of us, so we stayed downstairs the whole time, but this place could comfortably accommodate a big group with plenty of nooks for privacy and quiet. Fireplace is a real winner and cranks a lot of heat. Great backyard with firepit and right around the corner from the main Manzanita drag. Would absolutely return!

So close to the beach, in a wonderful little town. The house was great, and very comfortable for our group of 8.

Great place!
We really enjoyed our stay, the kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were good. Very close to beach and shopping.. the down stairs bathroom could use more hand towels. Bath towels were wonderful. There were 5 of us and everyone had their own bedroom which was great.
If you plan on cooking bring your own condiments. We grilled salmon one night and the barb a que worked great! Would stay here againM

familly made it great
The kitchen needs a major remodel. The drawers are very bad. A couple of times I almost had the whole thing on my feet. The refrigerator's temperature kept going very high up to 91degrees at one point. The acoustics were very bad as you could hear walking upstairs, and other noises. The place was clean but OLD and a number of stains on the carpeting.

Great stay
House has character, plenty of space to move around with a total of six of us. Kitchen is plenty big for us to all be in there cooking. House does creak quite a bit and sound travels throughout it. Location is prime, a short walk to "town" or the beach.

Great!
The location was great, and the house has everything you need. It is an old house, but has been fixed up really nicely. We really enjoyed the fire pit in the back as well.

Great house, perfect location
We stayed here over a rainy spring weekend with 4 elders, 3 other adults and one 11 year old. The kitchen was well-appointed, the house was spotless, and the living areas were cozy. The only thing I would change is that the beds are small for 2 adults - it would be nice to have queens or kings for couples.

Planning our next stay here already
I’m going to be a “regular”—the property is so beautiful and cozy. The house was clean! We used the firepit and both grills with ease. It is about a block from Manzanita’s market and around the corner from everything you need. It’s a short walk to the beach. Love love love this home and fully enjoyed my stay.

Comfy, close to beach
Great location, super comfy, well kept property. Wasn’t super clean, one bedroom upstairs hadn’t been slept on in quite sometime. Dust, animal hair was all over bedspread. Moved beds together in bunk room and found a lot of leaves and light garbage that had been there awhile. Not a deal breaker by any means, lord knows we don’t move our beds and clean under them much. Property is great walking proximity to restaurants, shops and the beach; literally right out the front door. Would stay again as it was a beautiful home and location.

This house had everything we could imagine and more! Fully stocked kitchen, games and puzzles. We had an amazing time!
