This property was exquisite and so was our stay! We felt spoiled in luxury. Our Maine experience was simply perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Camden home. It is conveniently located with a beautiful view from the back porch, a mile walk to downtown, and very short walk to swimming. Alex is an excellent host. He responded to all of my questions. We had some minor issues with the cleanliness of some of the rooms, however Alex responded quickly and addressed the issue immediately. The kitchen is very well stocked with coffee, spices, condiments, etc.

Our extended family -- six adults and two toddlers -- spent two weeks at the home, and it was a great experience. Alex is a superb host, responding to any request within minutes. (He heroically arranged to replace the dishwasher the day after the old one died -- extraordinary!)
The home is roomy with very comfortable bedrooms, three bathrooms with showers, and great communal space, both indoors and on a huge deck with a spectacular view. A great lawn, too! The house is a 1.5-mile walk or drive to downtown Camden, which is a charming, fun, and beautiful place, with lots of great restaurants and shops. Younger members of the family did a lot of hiking, while the two grandparents took the easy route and drove to the top of Mt. Battie -- spectacular! And the house is a five-minute walk from Shirt-Tail Park, which is a nice little fresh-water swimming spot.
Overall, just a perfect place.

Beautiful house! We were there for vacation and for my mom's 75th bday, she came and stayed for a week, we stayed for 2 weeks. Just lovely! Easy to communicate with host, no problems, and when the hydrant was being replaced and the water was off for a few hours, they notified me AND dropped off bottled water and a dessert, which they didn't have to do, very very generous! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent location with views of the lake and hills. Walkable to downtown. House has a large living room and master. Windows all around allow you to enjoy the wonderful views. The host Alex was great to work with and the house had everything you could need.

This a very comfortable, well-appointed home with a great view of Mt. Battie. It's very close to town and a very short walk from a Shirttail Park that provides swimming access to Lake Megunticook. The house includes plenty of home comforts: wifi, new TV, espresso maker, excellent gas grill, fire pit. The deck in the back provides a comfortable spot to relax or dine and take in the view. I also really appreciated the heat pump keeps the house at a comfortable temperature at all times. The owner stayed in contact and was easy to reach throughout the visit. We had an excellent visit and hope to stay there again soon.

This home is a lovely remodeled farm home within walking or bike riding distance to downtown Camden. We had a wonderful time here with family being able to use the house as home base for day trips to Mohegan Island and nearby Rockport Lobster festival, Mt Batte. Close is a cute little park with access to a public swim beach my grandchildren enjoyed several times, they are diligent to test the water and post when they feel the conditions for swimming are not recommended. Alex was wonderful to deal with and was immediately responsive to a few minor glitches that were resolved quickly. Since we were there on several unseasonably warm days, their newly installed ground souce pump provided us with relief from the two days in the 90’s. Lastly the oudooe deck is lovely to side and enjoy the evening by the gas fire pit. The master bedroom which my husband and I enjoyed is spacious with nice view!

True Maine Experience !!
Our stay was fabulous, the home was perfect. Thank you Alex , everything you could want is here, we had lobster everyday. Alex gave us really good advice on what areas to see and he was always available and very quick to reply. Very private location. The place is very large and the pictures can be deceiving,,we were amazed how large and spacious the home was. The view off the back deck was incredible. Sunday spragues by reds in wiscasset on the way from Portland, then scotts down the road from here, then graffam brothers really close to house, excellent,,then nautilus in Belfast ,,then we bought our own lobsters and the house has a giant lobster pot for boiling so we cooked our own from jess’s in rockland,,what a great place, on Thursday we went to see puffins at monhegan boat cruises out of port clyde,,everyone is so nice..Friday drove to acadia NP,,it was awesome, just plan for a long drive to get there so leave early,,on the way back we stopped at youngs lobster pound in Belfast,,excellent. Thank you to the McGillivary family for sharing your home with us.
