About this house rental
Located close to the heart of Ramsey, the Isle of Man's northern town, North Haven offers a perfect base for a holiday or short break. Featuring three bedrooms that sleep 5 people, this property caters to groups of friends and families.
There is plenty to do in Ramsey. For families, there are a range of attractions and facilities, such as the Northern Swimming Pool and the bowling alley which are short walks from North Haven.
Mooragh Park is also just around the corner, popular with locals and visitors alike. The park has excellent leisure facilities and attractions, where visitors can find tennis courts, a bowling green, BMX track and a crazy golf course as well as a children’s playground and special water play area. Watersport activities are available on the lake in the summer too! To top it off, Mooragh Park is a registered Dark Skies Site, from which you may even be able to see the northern lights on the horizon when the conditions are just right!
The Grove Museum provides an insight into the life of a Victorian family who built the house in the 20th Century. There are other Victorian attractions in Ramsey, such as the Queen's Pier and the Manx Electric Railway which runs from Ramsey to Douglas via Laxey. From Laxey, you can board the Mountain Railway which snakes up through the hills to Snaefell, the highest peak on the Isle of Man!
There are plenty of walks in the north of the island. Experience miles of beaches from Ramsey right up to the tip of the island at The Point of Ayre and The Ayres National Nature Reserve. There is also some unexpected wildlife to explore in The Curraghs, where you can explore the wetlands and its' resident wallabies!
North Haven is closely situated to both of Ramsey's supermarkets and the town centre is a short walk away, featuring restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops.

The property was clean, cosy, and peaceful. It is situated down in Ramsey in a small close, a short walk from the Beach, Shops, and Mooragh Park. I have nothing negative to share about this property.

Clean, well equipped and good location

We love North Haven and returned this month for our second stay with our 3 kids! The place is quite new, clean, and very comfortable. The beds are comfy, and everyone slept well. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners, and the living room is a nice place to read and lounge. The washer/dryer makes traveling with 3 kids much easier! We love the location near town, Mooragh Park, and the beach. Great place to stay! We'll definitely be back again.

Perfect location with so many facilities within walkable distance of the property. Literally cross the road for walking around the lake, children’s playground and beautiful gardens in Mooragh Park; also within walking distance of the Northern swimming Pool, restaurants, cafes and the main shopping street, and with lots of independent shops.
Easy, seamless access to the lovely property which was perfect for our needs. Contemporary design and decor. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and ideal for our short stay.
Lovely touch from Island Escapes of the Welcome Pack with basic foodstuffs to start us off prior to doing a food shop. We did eat out at Ravioli House, White Tiger and Milntown Cafe…all highly recommended.
This is the third time of booking with Island Escapes and the third property we have stayed in; we have been well satisfied with the whole process from booking to departure. We hope Island Escapes see the feedback sheet we completed at the property and note our comments.
We will be back!

Fantastic house, could be a show house on a new estate, spotlessly clean, spacious, very well equipped, for us the location was perfect as we needed to be in Ramsey, would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and would definitely return to this property in future

It is a lovely property to stay. It is exeptionally clean. The property is very comfortable and decorated and furnished to a high standard. Only thing lacking for us they could do with more pans in the kitchen, as we had to go out and buy one to cook our meal.

On arrival, french door in the dining area unlocked and open, kitchenwindow unlocked and open.
One of the sliding doors of the closett in masterbedroom out of order.
A broken teatable in the living.
No pan etc. in the kitchen to suite five people!
Sorry but we are a bit disappointed!

We came to the Isle of Man for our family holiday and north haven is in an ideal location! 2 min walk to Mooragh Park and a short walk to the beach was just ideal. The house itself is beautifully decorated inside and looks like a show home! Island Escapes provided lovely welcome supplies ready for us as we arrived: Manx milk, butter, cheese and tea and coffee. Such a kind welcome and after a long journey to get to the Island. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be booking with them again in the future!

Nice enough house - well equipped in some ways, but lacked the basics in others. It seemed to me that they valued fashion over function. And they really love grey: it's decorated in about a hundred shades of it!
It's a relatively new build (though 2015 isn't that recent and seems a flimsy excuse for the owners or agency not to have requested the road be added to Google maps) - it's well insulated, so probably stays cosy in the winter, but it's hard to keep it cool in the summer as the windows have been fitted without their ventilation lock position, so you can only have them open when you're in the house (which is not generally where I want to be when I'm on holiday!).
Apart from the windows, the main drawbacks were: no coat hooks, wardrobe doors that can't be opened, bedside light switch that can't be reached from the bed, not enough places to hang 5 people's worth of towels, only one door key in a house with two double beds (i.e. capacity for two separate sets of adults who might want to do things independently occasionally!), not enough space for 5 normal people (with legs) to sit comfortably in the lounge, and the shower doors didn't meet when they closed so it soaked the bathroom floor every time.
Aside from the drawbacks mentioned above, it has a reasonably well-equipped kitchen, good utility room, spacious dining table (and 6 chairs), comfy beds and is well-located for strolling into Ramsey (as long as you don't mind the lack of a view). I enjoyed my week on the Isle of Man, but some practical touches could have made the accommodation so much better. Hopefully they'll address them when they read this!

We were so positively surprised when we entered the house - it was impeccable! Beautifully decorated and with everything we needed, it was ideal for our week’s stay as a family of four adults. The location was perfect for taking walks around the town, along the promenade or through Mooragh Park, and near family in Ramsey whom we were visiting. The only comment for improvement would be that the outdoor area needed a bit of care (mowing the lawn, weeding etc.).

Recommend doing research on restaurants as information in property is not up to date. This spoiled a few enenings.
Also the garden is postage stamp size so does not tempt you to sit out.

We found North Haven in Ramsey an excellent place to stay on our Staycation and our arrangements to stay there through Island Escapes were simple and efficient The property was ideally located across the road from the delightful Mooragh Park and only a short walk from the wonderful Ramsey Swimming Pool Cafe and the local shops. The property is modern and in good condition and was very clean. While this was an excellent home to stay in for a break, I would suggest that the double bed is just too low for an old guy like me and that a few hat and coat hooks in either the utility room or one of the cupboards would be useful.

Booking and ongoing support from Island Escapes excellent including travel arrangements and same day sagging of minor issues in the cottage. Very well placed in Ramsey for the beach, park and shops.

We enjoyed our stay at North Haven, very comfortable well equipped house. Nice modern decor. It does back onto a motorbike repair shop so there is some noise during working hours, but it did not bother us (just something we were not aware of in advance). Good location in Ramsey, short walk from the tram station, and bus stops close by too. Just over the road is Mooragh park (with Conrods pizzeria) and the beach.

North haven
Lovely place comfortable and clean. Would stay again and would recommend. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the toilet paper.
