Lodge is in a beautiful location, but if the quality and maintenance of the property is of importance to you, I would consider other options. However, If you just want a base and don’t care about the internal finish of a property then the lodge is perfect. We did care about the inside of the property and the photos didn’t provide the full picture.
We arrived to a dirty fridge and dog waste bin over flowing. The second bed in the children’s room was almost falling apart and the light switch in the main bedroom was broken exposing wires (they came to fix both of these whilst there). There are birds nesting which is lovely, but the kids balcony is therefore covered in poo and had not been cleaned. The floor downstairs is coming up in loads of parts and the kids caught themselves on it a number of times, as they did the stairs which are just mdf and really slippy (they are also extremely noisy). The decking hadn’t been washed for a long time and was very slippery. The walls are coming away from ceiling in the upstairs toilet, so at night time you get light streaming into the the main bedroom if someone goes to the toilet.
On a plus, the location is quiet, good for exploring and the hot tub was a nice addition. The garden is well kept and views are nice.

Property was beautiful, spotless n clean inside and outside. Situated in beautiful quiet surroundings. We absolutely loved The Lodge property but if you need or rely on the WiFi or your mobile phones it won't suit you..couldn't get any signals at all unless you went near the Brecon Railway. Absolutely fantastic for walkers and dog owners.
