Amazing little find for small groups!

Really clean, great location, brilliant communiciation, comfortable and perfect for a small group. Will absolutely be using again. perfect for walking, biking and other outdoor activities. a very short walk to town and local very good Chinese take away. Showers were really hot and great water pressure. comfortable beds, just a lovely home away from home.

It's not a dislike so much as a suggestion. could have done with an clothes horse or dryer. it's billed as a great house for outdoor activities (which is absolutely is) but I would have liked to be able to dry things better at the end of the day rather than using the top of radiators. which damages tapped seams and the paint work. :)

Lovely, quiet little cottage in Merthyr - great stay!

I visited the cottage with my elderly mum and young son for a week. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated and was cosy and comfortable. The bedroom on the ground floor was perfect for my mother so she didn't need to climb too many stairs. Although I don't drink, I appreciated the bottles of beer left for us on arrival. The cottage was easy to find and we were given very good directions and instructions about how to find it. I had a mild panic when I saw the photo on Google maps, which is of the property before its renovation. It is very quiet, and although cars and people pass by, you can't really hear them. The showers in both bathrooms were lovely and the water pressure was brilliant! Gavin was very helpful when I struggled to get the keys from the lock box and I knew he was available immediately if I needed anything. I can see that the cottage would be brilliant for cyclists coming to use Bike Park Wales but it's also great for families. Wifi was good. There is parking available in the small carpark just next to the cottage and its very cheap to park for a week (£14). There was always a space available for us, even on Saturday night when the town was busiest. There are lots of eateries in the local area and a large Tesco within easy walking distance. The train station is also right by Tesco so you can get to Cardiff easily. We had a lovely week and would recommend this property to small families and groups of friends looking for a base to explore South Wales. We were able to get to Cardiff, Swansea, Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny to see family and friends without any problems.

If I was nitpicking I'd say a couple more tea towels and utensils for cooking if you're not going to be eating out or getting takeouts. Also, an explanation of how the bins work and when they are collected would be helpful. Be aware that there are steep steps down to get into the property if stairs are an issue for you. Other than that, we loved everything.

The kitchen light would not turn off it was that big and bright it lit the downstairs bedroom up very annoying

very comfortable stay and would recommend as location was very good and cottage was very clean.

property was very clean and location was very good with being close to the high street.

only issue we found was that the toilet seat downstairs was not correctly fitted and that the mattresses could be a bit thicker for the adults.

Conveniently located and modern cottage - we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

Warm and modern throughout. Two bathrooms and over three floors. The teenagers felt like they had their own space. Very easy check in and secure. Well set up for cyclists (although that wasn’t what we were doing). Welcome goodies and instructions inside cottage were appreciated.

We were here to visit a close relative in ICU in Merthyr Hospital. Cottage good to come back to.

Very central. Very comfortable cottage. Lovely kitchen.

No hairdryer. Essential in any hotel or apartment. The beds were very average with poor mattresses.

Enjoyed the stay

House was clean and tidy, facilities were good, Heating & hot water was superb, Two bathrooms with fresh towels were superb. Kids liked the Netflix, there were some complimentary pop corn, cookies and beers (didn't use the beers though) a few cups of tea and coffee was available to make, ktichen was good.

There is no private parking for the property but not a big problem as the car park is just next to the door and it is only £3.5 for a day. No cupboard with hangers to hang the cloths would really suggest th owners to arrange a cupbaord.
