This was our best cottage vacation! The cottage itself is huge with many relaxing areas to spread out and enjoy quiet time and great spaces to come together to enjoy a meal or play a game as a family. The property has so much to see and do and is very generously equipped. The lake and beach areas are clean and safe and we spent so much time in and on the water. Janice and Simon are incredible hosts. Very kind and easy to access. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great cottage getaway. Simply fantastic!

Property is brilliant, Janice and Simon were awesome, they made us feel like they would support whatever we reasonably needed. Stanley is a sweet boy. Nature at its best.

The Laughing Moose Lodge is a beautifully kept lovely home located close to Algonquin Park. The hosts have thought of everything including touches like leaving for us fresh flowers, a locally made fresh berry cheesecake and a delightful bottle of sparkling wine. The home is tastefully furnished very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, lovely large screened in porch and an outdoor dining sitting area with a hot tub and sauna. The bedrooms are large, private, lovely bedding very comfortable. The beach is easily accessible with a sitting area and fire pit.The owners are on the property but were very respectful of our privacy and checked in just to make sure we didn’t need anything. We didn’t as they had thought of it all. It was a ladies four days away and we enjoyed every minute of it. We highly recommend it and plan to return.

Our stay at Janice's cottage was simply outstanding! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Janice, our host, was incredibly welcoming and her communication was clear and prompt throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself was nothing short of ideal - cozy, comfortable, and impeccably decorated. Every detail seemed carefully considered, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made it hard to leave. We enjoyed every moment of our time here so much that we're already planning our next visit! We won't hesitate to return as soon as possible. Thank you, Janice, for sharing your wonderful space with us. We can't wait to come back!

We had a blast at the beautiful Laughing Moose Lodge! The property itself is spacious and comes with pretty much everything you'll need for a cottage stay. We loved the gorgeous lake front views and the amenities on site (we especially enjoyed the sauna and the hot & cold tubs). It's also only a 30 minute drive away from the Algonquin east gate. We were able to get to the park without much traffic during the busy fall season. Janice was a great host! She was very flexible and responsive to our messages while giving us complete privacy during our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Despite some uncooperative weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is spacious and well-appointed. Everything was in excellent condition. Very comfortable with plenty of room to spread out but enough seating if we all wanted to hang out together. Great swimming! The lake was relatively warm with a clean sandy bottom. Cottage is an easy walk to the water’s edge that has a large beachy area. (FYI, watch for the occasional ATVs and dirt bikes on the public trail that runs between the cottage and the lake). We made use of the canoe and paddles provided - again, all in great condition. Hot tub and sauna were a welcome option in the evenings and on cooler days. Janice and her partner live in a trailer on site - something we were a bit concerned with at first - but this proved to be no problem at all. We are hoping to return next year!
