My family enjoyed our stay at Sampson house. The historic character of the home was so charming and the furniture was very comfortable. We had so many places to lounge between the large living room, the three-season porch, and the back yard. The bedrooms were all good sized with comfortable beds. Linger Hospitality was very communicative and provided a detailed guide to the house as well as thoughtful recommendations for what to see, do, and eat in the area. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Sampson House is very nice, walkable distance to Penn Yan restaurants and activities.

Quiet walks to coffee & breakfast on Main Street, breezy bike rides along the water or on the trail, short drives to big boating fun on Lake Keuka and picking up pizza from Cam’s pizzeria—all just perfect for family time relaxing, visiting, playing games, and enjoying the cooler weather and gorgeous scenery in PennYan!

Was not properly cleaned. Upon arrival we encountered toothpaste splattered bathroom mirror, filthy rug in front of shower, dirty stove top, melted frosting on microwave rotating tray, globs of frosting on kitchen and hallway floors and staircase banister, wooden stick from ice cream bar on arm of living room chair. Immediate report to host was ignored/shrugged off, only slightly more responsive than our request for earlier check-in which was nonexistent. Linger Hospitality was also less than helpful about the absent remote for the gas fireplace. The bungalow is very nice, pleasantly restored with interesting and sometimes original art work. Aside from the coldly distant management, the real issue seems to be a lackadaisical cleaning crew, for whose "efforts " we had to wait until after 4pm to check in and then check out no later than 10am. What could have been a 5 star stay was deeply diminished by distant, unconcerned management.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sampson House. The property is even better than the photos and every part of the transaction was easy, efficient and enjoyable.
The rooms are all spacious and the breakfast nook/booth is particularly charming. Wifi was excellent. We loved that air conditioning was available but not needed most of the time because the weather was mild for July.
Beatiful front porch and screened in back porch got great use and we also enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen one evening when we just wanted to hang out at "home".
The hosts were great and helped us immediately the one time we had a challenge finding the code to enter.
I highly recommend this property.

The house was very nice and perfectly situated for a wedding nearby in the finger lakes. It was an easy walk to downtown Penn Yan. The beds were very comfortable and the house well equipped. Our only complaint was finding a dead bat in the home, otherwise would have been a 5 star stay.

The house is very charming and only a 10-15 min walk to downtown Main Street. Beautiful area. Short drive to many, many wineries

It was a quick and easy experience once we chose the house. The property manager messaged us and got us all the important info really quickly.
The house was fantastic and exactly what we were hoping for. Great architectural details and style all throughout the house. Everything was comfortable and the fireplace provided perfect evenings to share some wine on a cold night.
The location was perfect, lots to do and see. What a fantastic experience.
