About this bed and breakfast
The Birdnest Inn is a Bed and Breakfast located in an urban farm environment in Aiken, South Carolina, close to golf courses and equestrian competitions. We are literally a five minute drive to Bruce’s Field, one of Aiken’s newest equestrian event venues. Full of original art and an impressive collection of hand-made pottery, we are a technology light establishment meaning that there are no televisions in the rooms. However, in a nod to tech, free Wi-Fi is available and device charging stations are in all rooms. So bring your Kindle or that book you’ve intended to read, or simply choose a paperback from our extensive complimentary collection. We have complimentary self-parking and are a non-smoking establishment.
Due to our artwork on display, including an impressive collection of pottery and mostly second floor rooms, we are not designed with young children in mind. However, people of all ages are welcome, even well-attended wee ones.
?The Goldfinch Room is dominated by an antique iron and brass Spanish Colonial King-size bed. A desk, oversized leather chair, vintage armoire, Biedermeier side tables and 19th century oxbow sideboard complete the room. The bath has an oversized jacuzzi tub and a separate shower enclosure.

Melinda, personally welcomed us to the Inn, and showed us her lovely home. As a former interior designer, her personal touches adorned the walls of all the house.
Our room was just as described. Melinda had shared that the "king" room had already been reserved, so our cozy space had a smaller comfortable bed, just right for a couple.
Masters week is very popular, and we met some of Melinda's guests at the delicious breakfast. Served early for the golf patrons to get over to August in time for the practice round.
We enjoyed the property, and our stay in Aiken with Melinda.
When we return to the area, we'd hope to stay there again.
Thanks, Melinda.
