About this house rental
Adventure the Mount Hood wilderness in style with this perfect cabin. With a private hot tub, outdoor fire, and patio, the outdoor space for this home is ideal. When the snow falls in the winter, you will have a gas fireplace.

The cabin is perfect for small groups or families. Every detail from the décor to the furnishing has been meticulously chosen to create a perfect blend of mountain style and comfort. The location is incredible and it is a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
Skiing awaits within minutes of the Cabin, just a short drive away. Choose from 3 local options: Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, or Ski Bowl. Or for the beginners, walk to the local Summit Ski Area. We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.
PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. We enjoyed our stay at the "Mountain Rose" ask Majestic Mountain Retreat. It was clean, comfortable beds, and was well stocked for cooking/dining at home. This cabin is nicely decorated - updated and comfortable/cozy. I've stayed in many rentals in Govy and this is my new favorite. Nice that I could bring my small dog along also. I only docked one star in my review because the map pin in the listing is not reflective of the actual location. Location is not up in Alpenglade, it's just right off the main loop road closer to Summit. I will say the location worked fine for us - no road noise inside the home with the windows closed. I let the property management company know about the map pin and they responded promptly and were going to try and get that updated on vrbo. Overall, I recommend this cabin and will stay here again for sure!

This house was located a short walk from the local restaurants and a short drive to the ski resorts. The set up was great for our two families, including young adults and teenagers. There is a lot of space to stretch out and there are 3 living areas with tvs. My only complaint is the super high fees we paid to VRBO, including two hot tub cleaning fees that weren't warranted. The house is great but I would book directly next time.

Our first time at Mountain Rose, and we had an amazing stay!
Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.
The biggest bonus was having three floors that are each like their own condo.
This allowed for different activities to go on without an overload of media or noise... We had tv football on one floor, art on another, X-Box on another.
And in addition, a large, covered hot tub and a lovely outdoor fire pit.
Our littles made fairy houses outside and welcomed them. Notes were exchanged. It was magical, including a trip up to our historical Timberline lodge, with enough snow for crunching around and making snow angels.
The whole family wants to come back!!!
Thank you for everything.

Three story cabin with 2 separate living spaces is perfect for multiple families. Plenty of room, close to the main strip, quiet, and surround by forest. I can imagine this place being awesome in the winter with snow!

We stayed here during our wedding weekend with our close friends and family. It was perfect and felt like a home away from home. There was so much space for everyone to feel comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing, perfect after the busy wedding day!

Property was pleasant. Had to clean hot tub to use it. First night when all went to bed was awakened by granddaughter because that room had bed bugs. Left the next day due to conditions

The home comfortably fit our group. We loved the cute decor, comfortable beds, and great location!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location was great - walking distance to restaurants and shops, but off the main road to keep things quiet. There was also plenty of room for our two families and the updates were appreciated. Negatives would be that (1) the main floor kitchen was lacking in cooking utensils and many of the pans were quite old; (2) the first floor kitchen was supplied with only the bare essentials (silverware, a couple of cups and glasses); (3) the sheets and pillows should be replaced with newer.

We recently stayed at this lovely rental in Government Camp and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like who enjoy hiking trails, and viewing lakes and forests. The rental is located near Trillium Lake and Mirror Lake, both of which offer stunning views and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
The rental itself was clean, cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed (including 2 kitchens!) for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances to cook meals. The living room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the surrounding forest.
While the WiFi at the rental was slow, it didn’t detract from our overall experience. In fact, it was nice to disconnect from technology and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The location is unbeatable and the rental itself is comfortable and well-equipped. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very nice, spacious, great location, etc, but interior steps were VERY steep and a bit dangerous. Also there were some burned out -light bulbs.
PLENTY of room though for 7 adults and 4 children.

The house in Government Camp was incredible!!!! We had a group of 10 adults and the house provided the perfect space for all to come together and hang out, while also having the setup/ample room for everyone to spread out and each have their own area/space. The pictures are incredibly accurate, the house was spotless and was located in the perfect location for a basecamp for our Mt Hood adventures.
Check in was super easy with an access code that was provided days before check in. After arrival we rec’d a couple of texts to make sure our visit met our expectations. We had one small hiccup while there…when we arrived, there was very little/zero water pressure. The kitchen sink shot out air and most of the other faucets had a mere drip. Not exactly sure what the issue was, we let it go for a few hours hoping it would remedy itself. By the evening it wasn’t better so we reached out to the managing company. They responded back quickly and someone was at our house in record time to trouble shoot. Problem was solved and we were back in action!!!
The hot tub was the perfect way to wind down and relax after long days of hiking and running.
Overall, the house was perfect. If ever visiting the area again, I will be renting the same home.

House was lovely. Hot-tubbing in the snow with our 4-year-old grandson will be an awesome lifelong memory. We have stayed in really nice vacation rentals around the world but the cost with fees here was the most we have ever paid (more than our monthly mortgage)- really adds up to exorbitant. We knew this going in but had some really special stuff to celebrate and needed pet-friendly, not a lot of choices, so we went with it. However, cost vs service, arrangements, comms was out of whack - stressful. Our confirmation stated a 4pm checkin, late compared to other lodging, but texts night before/day of from mgmt stated 5pm with a high fee for “early” check-in. I asked how early that could be. Little grandson would need to eat, bathe, settle down and go to bed shortly after. They then said the “early checkin’ wasn’t available. Our confirmation also included an 11:00 check out, but mgmt texted saying 10am, and that we could pay $60 for “late” checkout. I said we’d pay that in spite of the 11am checkout shown in our confirmation. They then said the owner was due to stay in the house and they couldn’t offer the late checkout. At that point I told them I was sticking with my 11 confirmation. In both instances there were texts professing “5-star” service, while also telling me the early/late checkout offers were a glitch. This is stressful when planning a relaxing stay and paying more than top dollar. Also, the road to the home was not plowed and we slid in our subaru backwards down the hill a time or two. Our daughter was never able to get her Chevy sport util vehicle up the road and had to park below in the town, moving around to avoid tickets. This meant we had to shuttle her goods up and down for check in/out, and then get our own out. Road conditions should be in listing. Would not recommend.

The three floors really worked for our three families. The location of the house offered access to skiing, tubing, and the town. We had a great week and family trip!

Awesome place, very clean, very communicative.

We are a great time in this house. It was super close to town, and we were able to spread out and each have our own place when needed because of the 3 levels and extra living areas. The only negatives would be the bathrooms were very small and the kitchen did not have any storage for food. We had to store all the food on the counter.

Our family had such a wonderful time at this property. The ability to spread out sleeping arrangements across multiple floors with multiple living rooms really made this a great experience. We loved being so close that we were able to to walk down for any shopping, food, or entertainment. We will stay again for sure.

Can't say enough great things about Mountain Rose. Our friends and family had an spectacular time skiing, sledding, and just enjoying time together. The only negative was that we couldn't stay longer.

Just a fantastic stay. The location, finishes, and amenities were top notch. Finishing everyday in the hot tub was special for sure.
