Location:
This property has an exceptional location in the heart of the Mountain Village that makes walking to the slopes, shops, restaurants, or even groceries a short, flat, easy trip. Remember this, though, If you don't feel like walking, all you have to do is call the front desk for the free private shuttle. It runs all ski season and can transport you to the slopes or anywhere else in town! That said, this location really is a pretty short walk from the heart of the ski area base - Steamboat Square. You'll also find a ski rental shop, burger joint, and Storm Peak Brewery's beer hall. Cross the street and walk another 100 meters and you'll be at the edge of Steamboat Square. That's right, you only walk about 250 meters from this condo to the slopes and the center of our resort's base area! Besides the slopes, the ski school is the first thing you come to. It is very easy to drop off your kids and head back to the condo or up onto the slopes, as well as to pick them up when you're heading home. In fact, with a very straightforward walk, only crossing one intersection with a 4 way stop and crosswalks, many kids can head home without assistance. The Gondolas, the Christie Peak Express lift, and the ticket office are right here too. So are many restaurants and bars, free concerts, special events, and activities galore. In summer, the base area is so kid friendly, with lots of activities to enjoy. Burgess Creek flows through the base area with a controlled water level that flows through at a level that is ideal for kids who want to splash around. There are beaches and plenty of places to relax along the creek and there are many restaurants and bars, so its a popular place. With a large stage, this area plays host to movie nights, free concerts, art shows, hot air balloon glows, and more.
Don't forget, the ski area sits on national forest. So your condo is literally right next to a national forest trailhead. You can hike or bike from your door! You can also ride up the Gondola for food, beverages, amazing views, sunsets, or to hike and bike around to the highest parts of the ski area with a 2000 vertical foot head start! This area is also connected to other trails too. The Mountain Sneak trail, Mt. Werner trail, and Burgess Creek trail all converge within 100 yards of the Emerald Lodge. We absolutely loved our home—beds were so comfy; kitchen was so well equipped and bathrooms were well stocked—very happy with our accomodations. Bunk bedroom needs a small dresser and quiet time needs to be enforced after 10:00pm. Beautiful pool! Very pleased!

Stayed for a week and the place was super comfy for our group of 8. Very quiet. Location also fantastic for access to resort or a quick bike ride to town. Not cheap but you get what you pay for and not unreasonable when splitting up the cost.
Only suggestion is to update the kitchenware—pots and pans are way past their prime.

We enjoyed our Steamboat stay over the 4th of July. The condo was very convenient to all the mountain activities and restaurants. The pots and pans left much to be desired and need to be replaced. The front desk told us "nothing" was required for check out, then we received instructions the night before via email, and many items were required, including stripping beds and bedding, etc. It would be nice to have the wifi password and other instructions posted in the unit. The set up of the condo was wonderful for 2 families and we enjoyed the privacy this provided. Parking was a challenge for our truck, due to a column located next to the designated parking spot, the compact nature of the parking with other vehicles parked very close and the garage configuration. Parking is best suited for smaller vehicles. The unit is advertised as a penthouse, but it's really one of many units located on the third floor. It was quiet. We appreciated the ease of check in and the many key fobs provided. The grandkids enjoyed the pool, even though it is small, it was very well maintained. Many hiking and biking options close by. We would stay here again, if we get a smaller vehicle.

We came here for a family reunion. This place is perfect to share with 2 families. It was nice and big and everyone got their own bathroom!

Gorgeous and spacious unit. We did experience a few hiccups however Kyle was super helpful in getting issues resolved.

We (two families) LOVED our time at this property! The space is fantastic for a large group; ample bedrooms and bathrooms and great central “hang out” and dining space. The unit was very well stocked with all the basics one could need as well as great cooking tools, which was so appreciated! The hot tubs are very easy to access. The unit was incredibly clean. The location is definitely walkable to the base but the shuttles made it even easier (especially in ski boots!). They ran very frequently and always had space.
Overall - highly recommend! This was by far the favorite rental we’ve ever had.
4.8
Great 4 beds and 4 bathrooms for 4 couples - the 1 bunkbed room has full beds. Well appointed w/ fun ski artwork throughout! The Shuttle to Ski was fantastic over 7 days, no waiting, they are looping and there all the time. Also schedule a shuttle into to Steamboat Springs for shopping/Bar-Hopping via App was easy and efficient. Loved the Venmo driver tip ability! The pool and hot tub is convenient - usually available, and you can see from the deck if occupied. Didn't make it to the sauna as it is across the street and bit of a hike. The 2 Ski Lockers by elevator can fit 6 sets of skis/boards. We did have a problem getting the skis out of the locker one day so had a 15 minute wait before the fob finally worked (suspect battery was weak). Got a hold of mgmt folks and they had someone on the way before we got it to work. They promised to fix ASAP. Use the elevator via the parking garage to avoid steps in front, or just cowboy up and walk up the steps. This is a fantastic place and we highly recommend for groups of 8 and we will return.
Oh, and Steamboat Skiing is awesome! Great job on grooming, man-made, and expected 4 inches, got 27 inches of "Champaign Powder" over Christmas 2023 - incredible pow-pow skiing/boarding. Got group of 8 into every place on the mountain to eat for lunch with no wait. The T-Bar was fun apres-ski bit of a line at prime-time, but got right in for lunch at Thunderhead Lodge mid-mountain, Slopeside, Timber & Torch, Range, at base -great service!

This was perfect for our group of friends.

This property was perfect for our family. The condo was clean & very quiet. Location was great for hopping on the free bus system or just walking to local businesses. We had a great day just hanging at the pool/jacuzzi area. Check in was well organized and convenient.
4.8
Very nice condo with plenty of room for the whole family. Great location. There were no keys in the lockbox when we arrived at 4pm to check in, but the situation was corrected pretty quickly. The grill could use a good cleaning. Overall, everyone had a great time and we were very pleased with our stay!
4.8
The condo is well located and the beds were comfortable. I have a problem with a $390 cleaning fee when the condo was very dusty and there was mildew and hair in the master bath shower. The unit is very dark and I am not sure how that problem can be overcome. The master bathtub whirlpool did not work, and the ice dispenser did not work. The carpet is dirty and wrinkled and should have been replaced years ago.

Overall we had a great experience at this condo! The place was exactly as advertised, very clean, plenty of pots/pans/plates/kitchen items etc. Washer/Dryer had the pods and dryer sheets available to do laundry. The hot tub downstairs was easy to get to and was very handy after a long ski day. One important detail to know is there are quite a few stairs that lead up to the entrance of the property. If you have any elderly people in your group this may be something you want to take into account. There is a storage locker assigned to the unit on your floor for your ski/snowboard stuff which is nice ! Something I wish I knew prior to going grocery shopping or lugging luggage up the stairs is that if you go around the corner there is a parking garage that you can bring all your stuff to and just go through the garage to the lobby where the elevator is rather than dragging stuff up the stairs. This is very useful for check in and check out and would recommend to the owner they include this info for their guests ahead of time. The resort is super close to the mountain, and we utilized the shuttle service to just about everywhere in town. We never needed an Uber. The shuttle service was so easy to use and we followed the owners instructions on how to utilize that so that was great!! They literally can take you anywhere in town! We used it for dinner, grocery shopping, shopping and for ski days! The unit had everything we needed and overall it was a great stay.

We enjoyed a great ski trip with family in this spacious and comfortable condo!

We have stayed in many condos in the Steamboat area over the years and this property is our favorite! It is very spacious and well appointed and the shuttle system makes it easy to get to and from the slopes and the town. I highly recommend!
