Absolutely stunning place to stay. Beautiful decor and thoughtful additions made the cottage a perfect stay.

We were walking the Dalesway and decided to take a break from camping. The place was perfect for us to reset and refresh for our walk. It was spacious and had everything you needed

Freedom to eat in or eat out. We chose to save some ££ to eat in. The cooker was easy to use as the coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. However, the duvet heavier than most. It was not too warm, just right.
The accommodation felt like someone's home and staying in someone's home takes getting used to. The back door was very stiff.

Lovely flat right on the main street. Very stylishly decorated - we particularly liked the bathroom which had a very good shower. Comfortable beds, including the sofa bed. Great communication. Everything we needed for a one night stay. We had dinner from the chip shop round the corner which was very good.

We had a wonderful short stay at the Old Chair Workshop, briefly passing through on my husband’s cycle journey from Lands End to JoG. This apartment was a perfect slice of welcome comfort and coziness that was needed and we enjoyed an evening in, making full use of the kitchen with delicious supplies from the local butchers and Tebay services. Check in was very simple and our stay was very relaxed. We hope to visit again for a lengthier break.
Nothing at all.

Fantastic location and decor in the flat.
The outside of the building needed a clean up.

Fabulous location and decor
We could hear quite a lot of movement from upstairs- I think perhaps people were moving in.

So cute!!! Lovely little home from home touches. The bed was super comfy.
Right in centre of lovely little town so easy to get meals and bits and bobs.
Only issue…and it’s tiny - no usb socket. So used to places having these days I didn’t bring my phone charging plug so ran out of battery….however that was actually quite nice!!!

It was very clean, well decorated and had some lovely extra touches including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom!

Decor. Very well presented.
Instructions on how to gain access to the property only arrived two days after we had left. We had to disturb the owner, who was sick, we felt terrible. There was no milk, and as we arrived late, after shops had closed, we couldn’t make tea or coffee, either in the evening or in the morning. We could not find BBC 1 or 2 on the TV. There was not enough toilet paper.

Beautifully decorated apartment with some lovely touches.
We had a very cosy stay, loved cooking in the well equipped kitchen with local produce.
Super cosy and comfy living and sleeping space.
The apartment had everything you could need and we would happily stay again.
With the apartment being street level and on main street, we did find it a little noisy when trying to have a much needed lie in. But this wouldn't put us off staying again.

Everything ❤️ such a stunning living space, everything you need for a relaxing stay.
This didn't bother us but may bother others, TV signal bad connection to WiFi but not the end of the world as we didn't need TV to have a wonderful time in a wonderful place 😊😊

Location is perfect for walking during the day and accessing the local shops, pubs, and restaurants. Lovely quirky, amusing, and interesting decorations and crockery. Great shower, broadband, and streaming TV player.
However, the central location might also be a problem if you are sensitive to road noise. The property is directly on the main road, and you might find passing traffic and pedestrians an issue. One thing we thought missing was anywhere to unpack our bags, no drawers, so we had to live out of our bags, which made it unnecessarily cluttered. Also there was nowhere in the bathroom to put washing/makeup stuff.

Location was great and the property was really cosy and comfortable. Clear instructions from host and a great stop off for one night.
The parking is a challenge if you have multiple bags and dogs... bit of a walk. Alsobthere were a lit of mosquitoes actually in the flat which made for an itchy night. Bit of noise too from apartment upstairs but this stopped around 10am. Also would have liked some milk as nowhere was open when I arrived and I had lwft before cafe opened at 10am.

Beautiful decor and really clean house! Fantastic views of the mountains, even when showering - what a treat! The village is beautiful and has some great places to eat, drink and walk. The host was really accommodating and lovely.

Good facilities in the kitchen and shower room, well laid out and had her everything that are traveller would need, Lovely hot water, it’s a lovely little place but see below.
It was dark and unwelcoming- poor lighting - no comfy place to sit and read with light - internet connection was very poor and only good in one place - could not work the tv as no instructions - the pillowcases where unironed and therefore looked as if used ! Noisy
