Very peaceful setting with extremely gracious hosts! The cabin has a lovely back porch and everything we needed for our stay. Note that the kitchen doesn't have an oven but is stocked with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker/Keurig, and even an air fryer! The hosts gave us great restaurant recommendations, and there is a ton to do and see in the area!

Unique cabin situated in a quiet, beautiful location. We used the cabin as basecamp to explore the Shenandoah NP and surrounding area. Owner was very helpful with lots of tips on what to do and where to go. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Patrick and his wife were definitely the best hosts we have ever had! The warm welcomes with dinner and activity recommendations was very much appreciated! The house was very relaxing with amazing views off the porch! The trip ended with a gift bag of homemade banana nut muffins which were so delicious! Would highly recommend staying at the Miles Retreat!

Patrick is a great host. We were in town for my daughter's graduation from JMU. The cabin was a great alternative from the usual motels in Harrisonburg and was a short 25 minute drive to JMU. Very peaceful place to relax and hike.

Property owner gave us great advice to visit the nearby grand caverns vice driving up to Luray. The caverns were great and closer proximity allowed us additional time to make a JMU campus visit.

The property was gorgeous. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Patrick was extremely kind and helpful. He gave us several recommendations for food and activities in the area which were all incredible! Not a far drive from the national park and is a good property to stay in if you are looking to explore the park. I highly recommend staying here!
