Loved staying at this unique bed and breakfast. Peace, quiet, and charm was what I was looking for after working days in the area. Lovely hosts as well!

Truly special! We went back a few weeks later.

Excellent place to stay. Very close to the entrance to the national park.

We absolutely love our 5 nights stay here at this beautiful 1830 farmhouse B&B. It is in the middle of a farming community, so quiet and serene, the perfect place to rest and relax after our days of hiking at the Shenandoah Park. Kyle and Jordan, the innkerpers are very attentive and accommodating to our needs/ requests
Jordan prepares very hearthy and nutritious and delicious breakfasts, my fave was the avocado toast with egg. We chose the bridal room for the jacuzzi which was perfect to soak after an all day hike. It's also at the corner of the manor which was quiet and has view from each side.

We had been driving through bands of torrential rain when we arrived at Cave Hill Farm…total peace, beauty, kindness, history! This is such a beautiful, stately antique colonial home!! We reserved a room that happened to be the bridal suite! The bed had been handcrafted in England (canopy bed!). Such nice hosts who told us all about the home and gave us tokens to use at the farm’s brewery where we had a great dinner later. We took a nice walk past corn fields to see the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, slept well in the quiet setting last night, and woke to a beautiful breakfast served in the dining room. We highly recommend this gentle place in the Shenandoah Valley. It could be a destination all its own or a beautiful surprise along the way as part of a longer trip. It also could be fun for a group of family and friends!! We will be back!

This is a delightfully quiet B&B located in farm country. It's close to restaurants in the local community and is only 25 minutes from even more in Harrisonburg.
The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast was sumptuous. The room was exceptionally comfortable.
We will definitely return!

Cave Hill is a beautiful house, very inviting, hosted by a lovely couple. We sat on a swing in the yard, under the trees. Lots of history to the home and couple who live there. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. We will be going back.

I loved learning the historical significance of this property and looking at all the artifacts in the museum. So much love and care went into this property to preserve its heritage. A truly wonderful experience. I wish my children were with me. I am most grateful to have found such a unique and rewarding stay.

Beautiful old house with interesting architecture and back drop of mountain range. Country setting with farmland and quiet roads, allowed a Sunday morning jog for the runner in our family. Host was very welcoming and a good cook as well!

We are so glad we stayed at Cave Hill Farm B&B! The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. The house was beautiful and peaceful. It was a short drive to Mashita, where we had an excellent dinner. In the morning, we walked downstairs and had a delicious breakfast while chatting with the other guests, which was all lovely. We look forward to returning.

Wow Jordan and her husband are great hosts. The have all the extras. Great rooms, homemade snacks, homemade breakfast. The stay could not have gone better and we would definitely stay there again. Best B&B experience I ever had and there have been many over the years.

I have stayed here many times before and it was great but it must be under new management because it was really terrible this time and I won't be returning.
Instead of a gourmet breakfast served each morning by a friendly couple, we got an empty cold dining room with bagels and muffins wrapped in plastic on the counter and a kurig machine ... so so disappointing. Also plastic forks and spoons and paper plates and cups....unbelievable.
Room was cold and the thermostat in the corridor was locked and password protected.
Landlady had the TV beneath our room (Gold) blasting until 1.30am.... really!
We used to consider the house "quaint" with all of the furnishings but honestly it's just so dirty and God knows the last time anything was cleaned. Bathroom was dirty,
door knob fell off several times, multiple lightbulbs not working, heater in the room was inadequate, toilet leaking.
I booked for three nights but left after two, I just couldn't take it any longer and went home early.
I will not be returning but hope this review will warn "regular" visitors that it's not the same and has really gone downhill.....just sad and did I mention disappointing.

We made a reservation here because we were attending a wedding the following day. Upon check-in, we met Brittany. Unfortunately, she had an accident that caused her to be on crutches. She explained to us that she would not be able to supply the Hardy breakfast, that usually is associated with other bed-and-breakfast, and that we could have a choice of store-bought, bagels and croissants, muffins, and there was Keurig coffee. All this was cafeteria style. I asked if there would be some adjustment to the daily rate for the two days that we were there. She hesitated, and then said she would check with her husband . That was 5 o’clock on the Friday we checked in and the first time and the last time we ever saw Brittany again even though we were in and out of the house multiple times. When we left on Sunday and checked out at 10:30 AM, nobody was there, so we just dropped our key off at the desk and left. She had never gotten back to us one way or the other after checking with her husband. We have been to many bed-and-breakfast and enjoy that stay over hotels/motels. Mostly because of the homelike feeling, the opportunity to meet new people , and to share in the history of the place where we’re staying. Usually, the big highlight of the stay is the outstanding breakfasts we have had at other residence. It’s such a convenient and great way to start your day of adventure. Since it cost us an additional $100.00 for breakfast both days, we will not be returning.

I loved eating breakfast with the other guests and chatting about what we had done the day before and plans for the upcoming day. There's even a brewery associated with this B&B! You can wake up and see cows walking around outside. There is so much history to this house; it felt very special to get to stay here.

Breakfast was served cold, and would help if it was served earlier; (9:00 AM is a bit late when traveling)

The property was decorated well for the time period. Bed was comfortable and breakfasts were great. Tried to take a jacuzzi tub but once I turned the jets on, dirt, mildew and bugs shot out so most likely no one is cleaning out the jets regularly. The blind was broken so we had a hard time letting in any natural light. The person running the inn seemed distracted and didn't share much in terms of what the amenities were or how the breakfast service worked. Coffee was lukewarm unless you made your own Keurig which was backed up with 6 guests trying to get coffee all at once. Could be a great spot rather than average with just a few tweaks.

Great place to stay while visiting James Madison University. Quaint, quiet and only 8 miles from campus. Better than most chain hotels in the area. Comfortable rooms with all the amenities. Breakfast looked wonderful even though we couldn’t stay to eat.

This is a true Bed and Breakfast hosted in a historical rich 1800's structure that has been well maintained. The hosts of the venue may our stay delightful and knew much about the building and area history. The breakfast was one that my own Grandmother would have made for me. The room and bed were a welcome respite from other places we had stayed on our journey. All the decor of the structure is period, and you are out in the quiet of farm land. This was an excellent stay.

The hosts were very flexible when our schedule for the weekend got disrupted. The property has so much potential but attention to small but important details is needed:
- lightbulbs out
- doorknob on bathroom door fell off
- ceiling vents needed dusting
- bedroom rug needed to be vacuumed
- no offers of juice, water, butter, jelly at breakfast unless asked (or at least they could have been out or on a sideboard)
5 decks of cards in the common area and 4 were incomplete
-scrabble was missing almost all letters
- dominoes missing from set
- no specific directions for TV in room or common area
- benches and swing on grounds were dirty or in disrepair
- no bath mat
- 2 people, 2 sets of towels, not even 1 extra

This is an awesome property!! It's on a secluded quiet farm, but it's still very convenient place to stay as it's only 10 minute drive into town and 20 minute drive to Shenandoah National Park. This is a well maintained historic building and they even have a museum in the basement. Enjoyed hanging out on the rocking chairs at night watching fire flies. Unfortunately we only stayed one night and had to leave early so didn't get to partake in the breakfast but the property itself was amazing.

This will be a great B&B when it is ready. The inside is in reasonably good shape but the outside needs much work.
When we arrived the yard had not even been mowed. The windows were dirty. The steps are in disrepair.
The management does not have it together yet
They do have a neat museum in the basement..
