Geweldig hotel met uitmuntende service

Wij hebben Egypte al meerdere keren bezocht maar dit hotel ver boven onze verwachtingen. Wij zijn hier 9 dagen verbleven. Bij aankomst en inchecken gelijk een upgrade gekregen naar kamer met zwembad in het hoofdgebouw. Het eten in de restaurants is van goed niveau en voldoende keus. De 5 a-la-carte restaurants zijn een welkome afwisseling op het buffetrestaurant. Het Indiase restaurant (Taj Mahal) zeker de uitblinker. Daarnaast lunch gelegenheid in buffet vorm in het hoofdgewbouw en bij het strand. Verder worden er premium dranken geschonken (Heineken op de tap), verschillende soorten Prosecco en barmannen zeer goed in maken van kwalitatieve cocktails. De zeer uitgebreide sportschool die beschikbaar is aan het strand heeft moderne apparatuur, dus voor alle soorten trainingen geschikt. Wat er het meeste uit sprong was toch wel de hoge service en kwaliteit van personeel en stak ver uit boven onze eerdere ervaringen in Egypte. Altijd aardig, behulpzaam, een lach en bereid je in de watten te leggen. Zo komen ze je drankjes brengen op het strand, van flesjes water tot flessen prosecco en nooit lange hoeven wachten. In het bijzonder willen wij Ahmed Moustafa, Mohamed Hassany en Ahmed el Methwaly van de strandbar bedanken voor de uitmuntende service en het lachen op het strand. Romany Samih van de Lobby bar, voor zijn heerlijke gepersonaliseerde cocktails. Esmail Kemal (manager Pizzeria, Taj Mahal) en Nasser Adel van het strand restaurant bedanken voor uitstekende service en goede bediening. Kortom een heerlijk hotel die wij iedereen kunnen aanraden, het is van alle gemakken voorziening en zorgt gegarandeerd voor een relaxte vakantie.

Krásný hotel, prostředí, jídelny, bary, posilovna, plaž. Ubytování v Dune bungalovu, jeden pro dvě rodiny, společný vchod a pak rozdělený na dva vchody přímo do pokojů. Terase s lehátky u bungalovu společné. V barech podávaný i evropský alkohol.

Brzký úklid jídla v hlavní jídelně, pokud je snídaně do 11:00 úklid jídla začal už 10:40, vždy cca 20 minut před koncem se jídlo uklízelo a tím pádem byl menší výběr.

Excellent hotel with outstanding service. Best all inclusive family vacation we have had. Would highly recommend Xanadu

Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. Swim up villas were perfect for large family group. We had 4 villas all around the same pool. We were even given 2 complimentary upgrades. Villas were in a great central location next to large pool, gym, beach, restaurants and other facilities. Extremely friendly and catering staff everywhere from we went. Plenty of food options both in buffets and a la Carter restaurants. Staff ensured food was always replenished, so didn’t have to wait for anything. Endless supply of healthy fruit and salads.

While the a la carte restaurant options were a great idea (we went to a different one every night) and were generally very good, there is still some room for improvement with the food itself. This is not a criticism just a suggestion to really make the experience stand out. Service in all of the a la carte restaurants was exceptional.

Great hotel for enjoyable vacation

The room set up was perfect for my family, my wife and I had a separate room and kids got the sofa and an extra bed. The swim up option was great, we enjoyed it. The availability of frequent transportation from and to the beach was convenient. The food at the main restaurant was great, delicious and tasty. Mohra from the guest relationship was great, she help us to make a reservation at the seafood restaurant and arranged a shower room after our boat trip day.

One of the washrooms had a lot of ants and shower required repairs. The entertainment program repeated during our four days stay and didn’t include any Egyptian/Arabic/oriental shows - I think it would be good to consider all guests preferences, foreigners would be interested in seeing new shows to them and Arab/Egyptian guests will feel represented and welcomed.

One of my best stays ever. Everything was perfect. Starting from the check in and ending with the easy check out. The staff are super nice and cooperative. The food is delicious with lots of variety. The hotel is super clean in its rooms, beach and even bathrooms. The activities and parties are very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and will visit again for sure. The lagoon villas are very convenient: close to the beach, the Agora snack and a la carte restaurants. These villas are very big: a living room with TV, 2 bathrooms, a large bedroom with access to the terras, a king size bed, a big TV-screen. Housekeeping was top, as well as cleaning our semi-private swimming pool right in front of our terras (20m pool for 6 rooms, but we never saw somebody else swimming during our week's stay) The provisory spa has professional masseuses, and affordable prices for packages. All staff are of extreme kindness and rapidity, so up to the Xanadu-level, as we know it from Turkey. Reservation for a la carte restaurants is needed but easy through Guest Relation at the desk or via Whatsapp (they are extremely helpful for any kind request and very quick to respond. The choice of food is big, and the quality is high. The ouside show center is immense and a bit cooler in the evening: a sweater needed, although the hotel provides warm plaids and gas-burned heaters to keep you warm. Activities were entertaining, including the Worldcup Football matches. Afterwards a DJ till midnight. For snorkeling it is idealy located: both sides orf the jetty you have nice coral and a lots of colorful fish very nearby, at some places it's possible to stand upright in the water to see the fish (watch out for sea urchins: sea shoes can help). Or you might book a boat trip for snorkeling and/or dolphin watching, take a 2h ride on a semi-submarine for 25 € pp with underwater windows. Good trip for children, short snorkeling time included. Boats start from the jetty right in front (no need for a van). Near the beach is an extremely well equipped fitness center. The beach has wooden parasols and lots of sunbeds, during our stay very empty (in contrast to TIA beach beside). There is a Fancy Land for children with heated pool and mushroom style bungalows. The Aquapark with lots of slides belongs also to the hotel. Golf carts bring you everywhere.

This All Inclusive hotel is brand new and I guess less than 20% booked, so not many people in the restaurant, on the beach or in the show center. In some areas finishing work is busy or needs to be done to improve. But this will soon be done. Plans exist to open more resto's: Japanese, grill, … The main buffet style restaurant is big, not so cosy, maybe because of the low occupancy of the hotel, and needs some more decoration, plants and curtains (on the contrary, the bars are nicely decorated and fine to relax). You can eat outside, in the wintertime on demand. The choice is vaste: all kinds of world- and Egyptian food, and a big choice of desserts, even a chocolate fountain. Quality is very good, and the waiters are very helpful.

Very good

The staff was quite helpful, we got the room upgrade and everything we asked for was done. Also the hotel is located near a nice coral reef, great location for snorkeling! Beverages, breakfasts were quite good, really liked them, especially mango fresh juices!

The food at the buffet was very average and tasted quite plain, even though it offered a great variety. Also we had some stomach issues there, so it spoiled our staying... On top of this, there was some bad smell like from sewage in the hotel facilities. It was especially strong when the garden was watered. Also, this hotel hosts mostly Russian tourists with less than 10% internationals. We had a chance to compare this hotel with another hotel in Makadi Bay, so one can find better ones for similar cost.
