Such a unique accommodation option in a fantastic location in the heart of Charlestown harbour. It was inspiring to read about Tor and her family's sailing adventure around the Atlantic. A memorable stay on our Cornwall travels and a great option for families.

It was a unique experience to stay on a veteran working yacht. Far more comfortable than initially expected and quiet in the night too.
It is in a great location with plenty to do and explore in the immediate vicinity and a good base for slightly further afeild.
The hosts were extremely helpful as were the neighbouring residents and a big thank you to them all for the opportunity to stay somewhere different.
A very enjoyable time was had by all.

It was a totally unique stay in a very roomy ship with loads of character. Tor made some excellent recommendations about local places to visit as well.

I can highly recommend Sea Lion, a 1951 German crafted Yacht based in the harbour, for a break with a difference. She's taken her current owners to The Carribbean and back, to name but one trip, but is currently having a rest and available to rent as a holiday home. The host, Tor, is simply the nicest host you could wish to meet. Charlestown itself has a good selection of quality gift shops and superb eateries offering everything from waffles and pasties to smashed avocado with grilled halloumi. There's a choice of two beaches separated by the magnificent harbour itself. For me, getting away is all about the experience; I don't want same old, same old at a Premier Inn! I want to get in there and embrace the experience. Sea Lion lets you well and truly do this! 10/10, 5*****, Top Marks!
Going home!

A super and unique stay onboard Sea Lion. We loved the location and unusual choice of accommodation was a thrill to the children. Easy access to the beach and the superb restaurants of Charlestown.

In general the yacht itself was a very different experience for us but we all loved it. The location was beautiful from the beaches to the harbour. The entire family and the dogs felt very comfortable on the yacht. Very nice people in the town surrounding the yacht. Would recommend!
Little to no privacy between the Yacht and the chip shop.

Charlestown is absolutely stunning. Friendly people, a vast range of lovely eateries and coffee. Art, clothes, antiques and an interesting museum.
Highlight for the kiddies for the harbour where you can jump off the walls.
The location of the boat means all this is accessible within minutes.
Alice and Tor were on hand all the time and offered get communication.
The boat has everything we needed, hot water, lots of space for four, board games and books for chilling.
Parking was very close
We loved the unique property. These aren’t necessarily negatives, but a consideration for future travellers:
- There is a toilet used on the jetty, for sole use of the boat. There is a toilet on use but in the heat probably best not to use frequently
- There is a pop up restaurant outside the boat, so you will be overlooked. The couple that run it are lovely. This is the trade off for being so central and not an issue for us.
- there is a gangplank for boarding the boat, so not ideal if you have mobility issues.
- reception and Wi-Fi is limited, so plan ahead or head to the pub.
