Nice but needs improvements.

1. The calmness inside the property, 2. Near to beach location. 3. Good company inside the premises 4. Good behavior of staff.

1. The private room located near to the common area, so party people disturb especially during late night. 2. No parking facility for car. 3. Some of the power ports were not working. 4. Some sense of insecurity for solo female traveler.

Ok stay, would come back for the beach

Very well located and such a beautiful beach. Staff was polite and nice.

Nothing to complain considering the price, but be ready not to sleep. Feels like you are sleeping in a bar with loud music until 1 am. Also don't be afraid of musty smell.

Awesome stay place and great hang out zone for group travellers.

Property organized the facilities very well. Place is close to beach. Big rooms giving space for your group to have fun. Snooker table, carroms and Jenga etc are made available to make out fun time. There is a bar counter as well.

Hot Water - Due to weather conditions Solar Water Heating may take time so don't expect warm water.

Perfect place to stay in South Goa if you have a traveller's soul!

The location was perfect for a get away. Got to Meet a lot of interesting peeps! Abhishek was a great host and Govind was a a fun bartender!😉

Nice hostel and great location

The room was nice and clean and the location of the property was perfect. The staff were all friendly

Our room was right outside the communal area, the first night we couldn’t sleep it was so loud, although the next two nights were fine. The hostel advertises as 18-40 but on our first night there were 2 young children running around screaming until well after midnight

Отличный хостел прямо у моря, в номере все чисто, постельное белье свежее, ящик закрывается на ключ. Персонал приятный в общении. В бар я не поднимался так как был мало времени там. Рекомендую!

Smutsigt, låset till mitt skåp krånglade, dåligt Wi-Fi även i ”co-working space” som även var översvämmat med vatten på golvet och vara dörr inte gick att stänga - går ej att jobba därifrån. Läckande kranar i badrum och vattenläcka på översta våningen, vatten på alla golv, osanitärt.

Horrible Experience with Receptionist Arjun at Sturmfrei Jungle Hostel in Palolem

This has to be my most unpleasant experience in my 30 years of travelling for business and pleasure. I was thrown out of the Jungle Sturmfrei Palolem by the receptionist called Arjun. The reason is that I arrived late 5pm (whereas the check-in times is at 1pm!). Another reason I was given that I was over 40 years of age, which goes against Jungle hostel’s policy. I understand that but where is decency, reasonable behaviour, and a bit of hospitality? After travelling for 30 hours by train, aeroplane, and taxi, I arrived at Jungle hostel and was treated like a trespasser and was rudely told to leave the hotel compound because I was aged over 40! Here is what happened. I booked a room in a dorm Jungle Sturmfrei in Palolem for two nights for the 2nd week of March 2023. After travelling for about 30 hours, I arrived and the Jungle hostel. The reception was totally empty, and receptionist was nowhere to be seen. I waited around for about 15 minutes and wandered in the forecourt of the hostel. I asked two or three people but they could not tell me receptionist’s whereabouts. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I stepped outside the compound and went for another search, and I found a group of eight or nine youths standing on ground of another hotel/hostel. I asked one of the youths about the whereabouts of the receptionist and the Jungle hostel. A young man stepped out, looked at me, and gestured me to follow him; that young man was Arjun – Jungle Sturmfrei’s the receptionist! I followed him into the Jungle hostel, and politely reminded him that I waited for some time before I could find anyone at the reception. It was clear from his expressions and gestures that he did not like what I said, and, in response, he shrugged and pointed to a mobile number written on paper that was glued on the wall.

He sat down on a chair at the reception and retrieved my reservation on a computer screen. I politely told him that my UK mobile phone did not work in India. It simply fell on deaf ears, and he got annoyed and raised his voice. I asked him to calm down in a firm voice to lower his voice. He did like what I said and it was clear that he was taking the whole situation personally. Then situation changed rapidly and he gave me a withering look and asked: “have you read all the WhatsApp messages that I sent”? I told him that I have been travelling non-stop for about 30 hours and didn’t always have internet access and did not read the massages. To which he replied: “you have received all the messages, I can see it on my system – the SCIENCE cannot lie”. I don’t know what science he was talking about. Then began the inquisition. He gave me another withering look and asked me questions about my previous history of staying at a hostel. I told him about staying at hostels in Spain. After quizzing me for about 10-15 minutes, he told me that he did not have any further questions. Then he asked me whether I had read all rules, regulations, and policies of Jungle Hostel. I replied: “Yes”. He asked me whether I understood all of them. I replied, yes I have understood but I over 40 years old. He looked me with a smirk on his face and told me that I would have to leave Jungle hostel because he would not allow any guest who are older than 40 years. It was clear that he didn’t like me from the very beginning and took out a personal vendetta and decided to implement Sturmfrei Jungle’s policies to the letter. Throughout my conversation with him, he smirked and spoke to me in condescending manner. I pleaded to him that I have nowhere else to go and I have just travelled 30 hours, I and at least I can stay one night. He smirked again and told me that rules are rules. After that he stood up and told me in rude voice to leave hostel compound immediately because I was breaking the rules.

First of all breakfast is included in the payment then Breakfast was cornflakes, egg bhurji and tea coffee Next day again cornflakes boiled eggs and tea coffee If a vegetarian Indian goes for breakfast he has to order something for himself. Poha, idli, or any other Indian breakfast item should be covered

Cleanliness is good food and other things are not upto the mark

Nice place to stay for backpackers..

very clean and cozy, staff is very polite and helpful. roof top is very beautiful.

some restrictions like u can not invite friends or any outsider to your room. outside liquor is not allowed, however it didn't bother me but some people would find it controlling.

Superb

Location is really close to beach. Staff is polite and helpful. Have rooftop restaurants which hosts events every evening. Wifi range & speed is good. Dorm beds are nice & comfy.

Perfect first hostel experience

The location is superb, you can literally walk barefoot for 1 minute and you will reach the beach. The staff are so helpful and accommodating and really made it feel like home. The shared room I was in was immaculately clean and refreshed every day with new toilet paper and clean floors etc

The only thing would be the mattress was quite thin and uncomfortable. Similar to other guests I found it difficult to find the entrance. If you are on the main round (before you turn down the main beach road) look out for a sign that has Mamoos. There is a wide alley way that leads you to the hostel

Location is great, just two minutes from the beach and the town with shops. Common area was great and the rooms were nice and big. Some of the staff was super nice and helpful. Big effort to join social activities.

Mattresses were SUPER hard. Staff freely entered the room and used the girls dorm bathroom at all times to freshen up. Some of the staff seemed very off most of the times. Also there is a constant smell of burned plastic when outside.

Great guesthouse in Paloma beach!

The female dorm was spacious and there was big lockers for everyone it was so handy ! The rooftop terrasse was also very nice and so was the staff of the hostel. Location was great.

Maybe simply the breakfast could be slightly better but it was okay really. It s just if I have to point out something..but for the price in the end, it's Okay. It's a super guesthouse to stay in at Paloma beach and I definitely recommand it.

Perfect place to stay at Palolem

The property is located at a very nice location. It was clean and the staffs were very good. Breakfast variety was limited though. Apart from that it is one of the best place to stay. If you want live in a clam and happy place, this is the one. They have working pods, bunk beds and books as well. we can make use of the beautiful terrace.

I hope to return, sooner rather than later!

The staff really make Jungle a great place to be - from check-in to checkout, the crew is always happy to help folks and make great recommendations around Palolem. What I really enjoyed during my stay here is the camaraderie among the staff - that openness and friendliness translates to the general vibe and ambience among the folks coming to stay here. If you are looking for fun folks and a fun space, Jungle at Palolem is it! Excellent location, plus the workden was a boon for nomads like myself!

The only issue I had was that the upper bunk beds in my dorm were quite high up - so taller folks should ask for the lower bunks because you will definitely bump your head on the ceiling! I honestly can’t think of anything else to dislike here 👍🏽

Very close to palolem beach, which is beautiful, spent a whole day there. There is a street market close by too. We didnt try food from kitchen so i couldn't say. This is a actually a hostel, but we requested a separate room for us. The room was big, clean, but not as you would expect in a hotel, but thats ok..just dont expect that!

Overpriced! But again, i think all properties in Goa are overpriced!
