Lot's of space for a great price - sleeps 16 total!
While the main house sleeps 8, the apartment (located downstairs) sleeps an additional 8 guests. Apartment is equipped with a coffee pot, mini fridge, microwave, two bedrooms (both air conditioned) Bedroom 1 has 3 bunk beds, Bedroom 2 has a queen bed - each with TV (Dish). There is also a washer & dryer.
Enter through double gates of solid mahogany to a spacious outdoor gallery. Here, catch up on your reading in a colonial planter’s chair under the shade of palm trees, or stretch out on one of three decadent cushioned, lounge beds and enjoy the sun or the stars.
A breezy gazebo is perfect for lunch, complete with a handy grill and speakers for background music.
From the pool area, leads into a magnificent Danish yellow great room and dining area with a spectacular window wall facing the Caribbean. Shutters lower at the touch of a button if you decide to darken the room for a movie and an armoire entertainment center is complete with DVD and satellite television. Ahead is a crisp white kitchen with all the culinary gear you might need.
The villa’s bedrooms all face the pool through individual French doors and are decorated in subtle tropical hues with tasteful classic West Indian-style furnishings. All four have private baths and air conditioning to use if you wish, though island trade winds will provide natural cooling. You’ll appreciate thoughtful touches provided for your stay-bath amenities, beach towels.
Running the length of the pool are three bedrooms. Two have twin beds that can be converted to kings, the first in spun-sugar pink with a shower/tub bath and the second in powder blue with Wedgewood accents. The third bedroom, with its soft mango glow and palm theme accessories, houses a king-size four poster bed.
At the end of the pool, steps lead up to the fourth bedroom’s pavilion with pale lime green walls, a queen-sized four poster bed, and tester canopy overhead. This spacious suite has its own wet bar with refrigerator, and another set of French doors to a patio.
Rooms feature high, beamed ceilings.
From the great room or the pool area, watch sailors come and go on the great bay below an outdoor museum designated as the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve. Tour the park’s Visitor Contact Station, enjoy a refreshing swim at its white sandy beach visible from your villa, or stop by the marina to arrange a guided kayak expedition through the bay. And if you are a Scuba diver, or would enjoy learning, everything you’ll need is available at the marina’s dive center.
Your villa is ideally located at the center of the island’s north shore, an easy drive to either of the island’s two colonial towns, Christiansted or Frederiksted, for shopping, sightseeing, and fine dining. And just minutes away is Cane Bay, a spot favored by locals for its diving, snorkeling, and beachfront restaurants.
Whether you choose water sports or exploration to fill your days, you’ll find Sugar Bay House to be an ideal base. But you may decide to spend most days simply enjoying your delightful villa a destination itself that you’ll want to return to year after year.
Included with your stay is unlimited rides on the St. Croix to St. Thomas ferry. Consider flying into St. Thomas and taking the ferry to St. Croix. The flights may be more convenient and a better value!
In addition, unlimited access to a tennis club in a world class beach resort during your visit!

Overall I would say our stay was great and the house was certainly nice for the size group we had. Some of the things in the listing and in the pictures were simply no longer at the house but overall they did not compromise our stay. The host was responsive and took care of some minor issues we had quickly. The check in information was not 100% clear but the host was able to provide the location of the code we needed when I texted her. In general the house could use some updates / fixes for things like random cables that are just draped across walkways, windows with signs that say "do not open this windows it is broken", and fans that do not have functioning remotes but overall these were all minor issues. Probably our one biggest "complaint" would be that the kitchen is VERY small especially when compared to the size of the house. Once again not something that would ruin a stay, just something to be aware of. I can honestly say we had a great time and I feel that the house, even with these issues, was a good deal and a great place for our family gathering.

The space within the house was very efficient. Property itself was a little rough. Number of king beds was misrepresented and when I tried to discuss this with Prooerty manager I was pretty much ignored!

The house offered ample room for our family. We had a few issues upon arrival but Robin corrected them immediately. The air conditioning in one room went down and within an hour she had someone fixing it. One bed was broken and a worker came and reinforced it better than new. After that everything was in working order. The kitchen needs to be better stocked for a family. There is one simple set of pots and pans. No bakeware or serving bowls. We used house decor to make mixing bowls and salad bowl for serving. Overall this was the best vacation and a beautiful place to stay. Be sure to go on the bioluminescent night kayaking trip. Best tour ever

The property is in a great location on the north side. Quick drive to beaches. House setup is perfect for a large family and the kids loved the pool in the afternoon. Communication with property manager was great.

We came to the island for a destination wedding and had to book this house at the last minute after another host abruptly cancelled our reservation for 14 people. The hosts at Sugar Bay House were absolutely fantastic in getting us all checked in on short notice. The property was well maintained & landscaped. The pool deck was well appointed for relaxing. The rooms were all spacious & quite comfortable. There was even a pool/game table that the kids in our party throughly enjoyed. Oh and the views! The view from every angle of the property was spectacular! Because the house is atop a hill the drive in at night was a bit harrowing but after driving it in the daylight it was a piece of cake. Overall I would highly recommend booking Sugar Bay House for a large party/family stay in St. Croix.

This property has amazing views. A road map to this property would have been helpful. GPS lost connection trying to find this property so it took us an hour to find it. Access into the property was not shared until we arrived and had to message the host for lock box code. Reginald mentioned he was on a plane headed out of town and referred us to Jackie for additional info. Jackie wanted verification that we rented the downstairs unit and needed a receipt before she provided the access code. This could have been communicated in advance. I am displeased that we were not advised in advance that pool maintenance would be arriving. He accessed the property and startled us as we were not expecting anyone to walk right into the pool area. The downstairs bathroom had no hot water the entire time. The ad states $200-$300 restaurant voucher for a local restaurant that we never received. Communication was awful.
Overall this property needs maintenance. There were cob webs and ants moles at the front entrance walkway. I get it lots of bugs on a tropical island but needed stronger pesticide to maintain the critters.
It's a beautiful home but needs to be well maintained regulary.

Communication with the host was poor; responses were erratic.
Prior travel directions and entry instructions were not provided.
Signage from the road was hard to read. The driveway, shared with several other houses, was scary steep and deeply rutted.
Access to the home was difficult - keys were confusing. Exposed outdoor cable lines posed safety hazards.
Once inside - among other things - doors were stuck; window handles broken; windows hard to open; faucet handles were broken; tiles were cracked; hot water was provided in one bedroom only; the poolside bar refrigerator was on the fritz; pool table was lopsided and had only one cue stick which was missing the felt tip. TV had 3 or 4 different remotes.
On a positive note, the views were amazing; the home was well designed and spacious - just not kept up.
Overall: meh.

Unsurpassed views. Loved how all the suites opened up to the courtyard. Lovely pool.
Sugar Bay was the perfect rental for our group. The rooms were comfortable, the living room views were phenomenal. The terrace was where we spend most of our time, perfect combo of sun and shade. We'll equipped kitchen. Our host was readily accessible and fixed problems quickly. We would definitely rent this property again. Great amenities.

Fantastic stay!
8 guys on diving, fishing, golfing trip. House was exactly as represented, accomodated our group very comfortably.
Laurel made everything very easy, and was timely on all communication.
We've done this many times in the Caribbean over the years. This was definitely one of the best!

Awesome views and great location
We had 4 couples that stayed at Sugar Bay House for a week. It was so nice to each have our own separate bedroom with bathroom. The outdoor space is amazing and plenty of space for everyone to hang out. We hardly used the indoor living room at all. Laurel was great to communicate with. Unfortunately the pool cleaning service was unable to get there for the first two days but she made sure to keep in touch and get them there ASAP. I had asked for a recommendation for a private chef for our first night after check in and Laurel had me contact Ashley with Yaadie. Ashley was amazing and the food was so delicious! The views from this house cannot be beat from both the pool area and the huge windows in the living room. About 20 minutes to Christiansted which is very convenient. The biggest disappointment was that the pool needed some repair but after letting Laurel know I found that it is already in the process and materials had been delayed. This is a wonderful property in a great location with plenty of space for everyone!

The pictures actually under sell this listing
Honestly incredible! The photos look great but they truly don't do this rental justice. It's way better than great. It's near perfect. I'd recommend the host retake photos. I'm not even sure that a camera can capture the view here.

Great Family Place to Stay
This was a great place to stay for our large family. The cleaning crew and management crew did a great job following up on items. We had a few small concerns when we arrived but Laurel immediately saw those items and had them addressed right away. This was a great place for 4 couples with kids and space etc. We loved that we had separate rooms for everyone that kept the noise contained as well. The one thing that we would have changed is that we needed more fridge space. We just had a lot of couples, kids and food so that is a lot to manage around, but made it work.

Incredible Hosts, House and Location - *6 Stars*
I don't even know where to start. If you're looking for a place to stay, look no further. The hosts were extremely friendly, accommodating and quick to communicate. The house is updated with the most amazing view of the salt river, marina and ocean. The pool area was one of our favorite places to hang out - there are several seating areas including beds, a large table/bench under a gazebo to enjoy your coffee or meals while enjoying the view, another covered area for chatting and great lounge chairs. The separate bedrooms and downstairs apartment were perfect for our group and the main house featured a pool table/ping pong/air hockey. lovely furniture, windows with a view to die for and a nice kitchen. The bar was a nice touch as well. Everything was very clean, new appliances including washer/dryer, the landscaping was well maintained and great parking. I can't wait to go back.
