About this apartment rental
Enjoy peace and tranquility at our safe Desert Oasis located only 17 miles (approximately 20 min) from Sedona, a desert jewel nestled among the stunning beauty of the red rocks where hiking trails weave through the breathtaking canyons! Try the culinary delights in Old Town Cottonwood or experience the Verde Canyon Railroad for scenic views. The Verde Valley beckons with historic landmarks such as Montezuma's Castle and Tuzigoot Monument. Don't miss the many wineries that dot the area for fun and relaxation.
Join a ghost tour in Jerome on the side of the mountain and savor a mouth watering burger at the Haunter Hamburger! Visit the funky shops and be sure to see all the amazing kaleidoscopes at Nellie Blys. Spend a day in Old Town Cottonwood in the wine tasting rooms, fabulous eateries, and one of a kind stores. There are five state parks: Slide Rock, Red Rock, Fort Verde, Dead Horse, and Jerome. If you have the time, a day trip to the Grand Canyon shouldn't be missed!
For those interested in heritage sites and ruins, the following are available: Tuzigoot National Monument, Montezuma Castle, Montezuma Well, Paltatka Heitage Site, Honanki Heritage Site, V Bar V Heritage Site (well preserved petroglyphs), and Clemenceau Heritage Museum. The Sinagua, Hohokam and Pueblo people inhabited the area between 1100 and 1425 AD. You will find well informed park rangers and guides to help you learn about them.
Since this is a dark sky community, the stars will be visible in an amazing array most every night. There are no streetlights to mask it. We are fortunate to have it all!
The space:
Guests will enjoy complete privacy in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit with an open floor plan. The bedroom has a new queen size bed boasting original Mid-century modern charm with blackout curtains for sleeping in. The mattress is made by Sealy Posturpedic with gel foam. A new high quality sleeper sofa in the living area also promises a good night’s rest. Relax in the open-plan living/kitchen area, featuring a cozy electric fireplace. Enjoy full sized appliances and two streaming only TV's, including a 55" and a 46" for entertainment. Our WiFi is a 28/10 fiber optic system that easily handles Zoom. We hope you like the signed/numbered cowboy print in our redecorated bathroom. Step outside to your private yard with a large swing-cum-daybed, perfect for a lazy afternoon, a firepit/table for outdoor dining and s'mores under the stars. (We are a dark sky community.) Play corn hole by the lower retaining wall, illuminated for evening fun. The patio offers a prime spot for sunrise views and morning coffee. (Your choice of a Keurig or drip coffee machine.)
We have provided books and a variety of games for down time. Also provided is information on wine tours, sightseeing, restaurant recommendations and hopefully enough activities here to keep you occupied and rested during your stay. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, baking pans, spices, as well as oil & vinegar for your use.
We provide information of curated wine tours, showcasing the finest vineyards and wineries in the region. Take in breathtaking sightseeing opportunities , from majestic vistas to historic landmarks. Indulge in culinary delights with our restaurant recommendations, featuring diverse cuisines to tantalize your taste buds. Engage in a range of activities, from outdoor adventures to cultural experiences.
We use solar panels for electricity, are avid recyclers, and you will have no need to bring bottled water since we have a private well with no impurities. We utilize a non-salt water softener.
Guest access:
All the space is accessible to the guests.
Other things to note:
There are no stairs, steps or other barriers. The driveway is wide and can accommodate handicapped vehicles. Just be aware the driveway is gravel. Pull up to the gate where the sidewalk begins. Floodlights come on after dark as soon as motion is detected. The gate needs to be kept closed due to wildlife in the area. The entry door measures 35” wide. It is wide enough for a wheelchair, however the interior doors are not.
Some photos may be different depending on the season as we change bedding and outdoor foliage will differ, among other things. We are located in the county, just outside the Cottonwood city limits. This means a savings of more than 3% as the sales tax is lower. Please note that any bookings of 28+ days must also have a long term tenant agreement per Arizona law. No sale taxes are required for these bookings.
A government ID is required from those who book. A background check is run on everyone who books the property!

We had an awesome time at this property. Spent every morning having coffee in the beautiful landscaped back yard. The home was everything it said it was. The host was very accommodating. Can't think of anything else that they could have done to make our stay better. Highly recommend this rental!!

We spent spring break at Nancy’s property and absolutely enjoyed our time there. It was exactly as described, and then some. The neighborhood is quiet, and the yard was perfect for enjoying morning coffee as well as stargazing at night. It is the most well-appointed vacation rental we’ve stayed at. Nancy goes to great lengths to make sure her guests feel at home and have a relaxing time while on vacation. Highly recommend this property to anyone vacationing in area!

It’s our fall getaway for my birthday and at the same time visiting our son. Wonderful host. We had a surprise note, birthday card, a cake in the fridge and beautiful flowers. Beautiful and well organized home. Very clean and everything that we need in the kitchen are available. Me and my husband had a great time. There are 3 binders in the living room. That answered majority of our questions. We followed all her recommendations for restaurants. Very detailed recommendation for sightseeing. Beautiful front porch landscape and phenomenal views.
Just avoid arriving at night. We drove all the way from Texas … 13 hour drive. It’s hard for us to see. ( That’s on us).
Safe and wonderful neighborhood.
Multiple parking area. They even provided coffee and snacks. Well stacked spices. The house is quite new. We will use this property again. Every where you look, it’s beautiful. Thanks for being a wonderful host !!!!!!!! Don’t look further… this is it !!!!!
“Exceptional” in all categories. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

Clean, nice and well appointed, this unit was great for our three day Verde Valley adventure, including the Verde Valley Wine Train. With the close proximity of Sedona, we were able to enjoy several meals with amazing views. Very peaceful place to stay.
