About this house rental
Lapa Villas consist of 2 houses with a total of 7 bedrooms & bathrooms on a beautiful, lush property on Quepos Point. This part of Manuel Antonio is known for its natural beauty and wildlife. There is a private trail leading down to a semi-private, sand & rock beach (8 min) and there are also 2 other beaches within walking distance--including Playa Biesanz, a cove beach with small waves (12 min), and Playa Espadilla, the main public beach (20 min).
The property is centered around the the lower house (#2), which is the heart of the property. The home itself is centered perfectly between flowering gardens, the covered pool area, and the open-air kitchen & outdoor lounge. It is charmingly rustic and also a bit funky. There are 2 spacious bedrooms plus a downstairs bedroom accessed via the exterior (next to the sauna). The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom with a huge open shower, and the guest room has a bunkbed with a queen on bottom and single on top, also with a large private bathroom.
The furniture, ceilings and floors are of tropical hardwoods. The outdoor kitchen and lounge area also have a warm, wooden, organic feel and are where you'll spend all of your time. The outdoor kitchen is the heart of the property with 2 bars and bar stools on both sides, a large dining room table and perfect pool for both kids and adults. The dining area spills over into the pool area--a heated pool, nice for any season.
On the lower level of #2 is an additional, independently-accessed bedroom with a queen bed + 2 twin beds, with its private bathroom. AND a sauna! (In case the tropical heat doesn't get to you!)
Finally--a cobblestone trail leads to a semi-private, little-visited beach! (Please note that the trail is NOT flat--there are steps and a handrail along the steeper parts, but still requires caution.)
The upper home (#1) is 4 levels, and is spacious as well as more modern than the lower home. The main apartment, one level above the road/garage level, has 2 equally appointment bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. There is an open floor plan for the living area - dining - kitchen areas. The kitchen itself is charming, crafted of wood, and has everything you need to feel at home. In the living area are a large 55" flatscreen TV and a good Bluetooth speaker. There is a 100MBps internet wifi connection as well. A flight of stairs takes you up to the rooftop terrace, with the best ocean views and also an dreamy jacuzzi!
On the street level are 4 independent parking garages for exclusive use for the guests.
One level down from the street/garage level is an open gym. Finally--there are 2 additional bedrooms accessed via the same level as the gym. One has 1 king + 1 twin beds and the other has 1 queen + 1 twin beds.
#1 - Upper Home (top to bottom):
Level 4 - Rooftop terrace & jacuzzi
Level 3 - 2 Bedroom full apartment
Level 2 – 4 Parking garages
Level 1 - Gym + 2 Bedrooms
Lower Home (top to bottom):
Main Level - 2 Bedroom home, pool, outdoor kitchen & dining area, gardens
Lower Level - 1 Bedroom, Sauna & trail to beach
With 7 bedrooms and 11 beds the Lapa Villas is ideal for groups and families looking for a fun place to call home. The pool is ideal for kids and is totally private. The outdoor kitchen is a lively place, and the area where everyone gathers to eat, play and have fun. Soon we will have some sea kayaks by the beach for guest use. Ask us about including chef services to make it an even more enjoyable stay!
NOTE: Between October 2024 and April 2025 the owners will be constructing a small guest house on the property, approximately halfway down the beach path. The site is not visible from the lower house, but there may be some construction noise between 8am - 4pm Mon-Sat. Furthermore, the workers need to access the property via the main entrance, and will pass beneath the lower house when arriving and departing--not intruding on your privacy visually, but they may be heard briefly at 7am and then 4pm. We will do our best to ensure that the construction does not interfere with guests' enjoyment of the property but you will also pass by the site on the way to the beach.

The property was huge with loads of space for our family of 16 (ages 8-81). The space is lovely with some gorgeous views and wildlife all around (just to name a few: toucans, 3 different kinds of monkeys, lizards, and we even saw a sloth!).
There are lots of stairs and they were challenging for the eldest pair in our group, especially at night and when raining, so keep that in mind.
The pool was great for the kiddos and having plentiful beach towels was fantastic.
The concierge, Vanessa, was super helpful with arranging transportation and giving us suggestions for restaurants and excursions and she was very responsive and took care of issues that came up very quickly. The house staff, Yader and Arellys, were also great and took care of the property well and they were really kind and helpful.
Overall our family had a great time at this huge, beautiful property

The property was great, everyone had their own space at the Villa. The walk to the beach was amazing, it’s like your own little island. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance which was very convenient. We got to see 2 types of monkeys and innumerable type of birds. Vanessa the concierge is one of the most diligent concierge I have worked with, she was also very friendly. The staff at the house were amazing as well, I haven’t had such good, personable service in a long time. We set up all of our transportation and tours through Vanessa and each one of those tours operators and the driver took great care of us, no one pushes anything on you! they are there to help you and let you relax while the deliver on whatever you ask for. I wish these people could travel with me to other countries 🤗

Our stay here was wonderful and we felt like rockstars!
The photos don't do the property justice but you do need to be fit to cover all the stairs and layers of these two houses.
The location was great as we could walk to bars and beaches and a short drive to the supermarket and town.
The wildlife did not disappoint either from the toucans that tapped on the windows to the parade of monkeys going through the trees.
Would love to come back again.
